How sad that a misjudgment can cause such a tragedy. And sadly people think they're protected by driving pick-up trucks with good crash test ratings. The thing is though, crash tests are conducted at 40MPH, not 75MPH. When I drove 18wheelers, I witnessed so many accidents throughout the 3 million miles I drove and these two lane highway accidents are just horrendous. I know we're all in a hurry and 45 and 55 mph is too slow to get anywhere but that's about all the vehicle can take going head on and especially with a small overlap crash like this. At least if you're doing 55 you've got a chance to hit the brakes and slow it down to a survivable speed or maybe avoid the crash entirely.. My prayers go out to God in Heaven for the families involved here. God bless our first responders who have to see this time after time. Peace ✌️

One time on way somewhere, maybe coming home from third shift. Seen pickup truck on fire along road I was on. No emergency vehicles there yet. But there was a guy, probably in his thirties on his knees away back behind the truck. I'm thinking it was darn close for him getting out in time. He hadn't hit anything. I called 911. I had an appointment, or would have stopped and stayed with him till help arrived. Good thing I called 911 too, other callers weren't giving very good directions. Also I live in Michigan, so winter driving can be hazardous. If I see anyone in ditch, I stop to make sure their okay, if they need tow truck, etc. I've gone in ditch a couple of times in winter and always appreciated it when people stopped to make sure I was okay. I tend to keep a blanket in my car just in case because one winter it happened was polar vortex. Had 2 hour wait for tow truck. Other cars going in ditches. Plus it was New Years Eve earlier. By time I got home, I was so cold, when I was trying to eat breakfast, and hands were shaking so bad from cold, it was hard to eat.
Imagine you die of a Heart Attack, you are out of body, and see your Truck going into the opposite lane, and obliterate another Vehicle? Jesus that would be horrible, esp if you had passengers.
That’s a really cool( I mean terrible but still cool) thought. Like if after you see the accident, you see 2 more souls float into the air. Rejoin with them and float away to the heavens. 😆
I keep reading how shocked ppl are of the destruction of the vehicles. I've been in a head on crash in a 45mph zone and when two objects hit nothing in those vehicles is strong . Everything has to react.. People think they are safe and mess with phones and just don't realize when you need to react ..too late.
unfortunately cars feel safe and the sense of speed is almost non-existent. It fools people big time. Science says otherwise. I like to remind myself of how fast a rollercoaster feels even at 65-70 mph. Speedometers should reflect feet per second instead of mph as that means nothing.
OMG! I have not seen a power utility truck is crashed badly. Many drivers hit the gas paddle at least 10 miles over the speed limit. On I-75 or I-95, drivers wanted to passed average 85 mph.
SH 105 has had way too many terrible fatal accident on that stretch of road. This is precisely why I have avoided this dangerous road for some time now.
The road itself is not the problem. People being in a hurry, inconsiderate of other drivers' or just plain idiots; cause accidents such as this. May all deceased involved; rest in peace.

May God help you all in your daily life and hug each member of your family before you leave for work it could be the last time the roads are ok it's the "take a chance driver that does the harm ,," be safe better a day late for work than a life too early in the next" God Bless all you people.
My father taught me a good lesson whilst driving, NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING AND NEVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD ALSO IS YOU HAVE QUARTER OF AN INCH YOU CAN GET THROUGH.
Straight 2-lane road, 6:38 AM, driving against a low sun. Maybe tired after working all night, texting, blinded by the sun, or a combination thereof. If a driver takes their eyes off the road for a mere second at 55 mph, it's enough time to go over the center dividing lines. A partial head-on is worse than a full head-on. There's neither frame nor crumpling zones involved, resulting in a deeper penetration into the cabin. In this case, because of the huge mass differential, a full head-on may have been fatal anyway, but the pick-up driver wouldn't have been ejected, aiding his chances of survival. At equal masses, a full head-on at the speed limit (55 mph) is survivable. But, assuming the bucket truck weighs 25,000 lbs. and the F-150 5,000 lbs., the impact for the F-150 would've felt like hitting a concrete column head-on at 70 mph. Still survivable, but only 25% statistically.
_"...when for unknown reasons crossed the center line...."?_ Come on, we all know why he passed the center line and it's called texting while driving. Texting while driving at least a 100 Miles per hour. This is not about some gentle lo-energy kiss. This is about a high velocity impact where a huge amount of kinetic energy got dissipated in an instant.
I'm sorry...did I miss when they said the cause? Oh, you just made that comment up. I know that people text and drive. But, it is unfair for you to lay blame without even knowing for sure. RIP to the person who passed away and prayers for the other driver and both families.

@@juliogonzo2718 Yeah, up against a truck like that, there was no chance. Most body on frame vehicles just do not perform well. I saw a Silverado where the frame bent in half when it hit a culvert. The frame behind the front axle was touching the ground and warped the cab.
@@Tracert-mc1hu I would rather be in a heavier body on frame vehicle if in a two vehicle collision with a smaller vehicle. Mass will always win. A few weeks ago I drove up on a fatal head on that had just occurred. A chevy cruze collided with an f250. I watched the driver of the car take some of his last breaths. Shitty thing is I am a tow truck driver and had to go back to the scene after police were finished the collision reconstruction and tow both vehicles. It was something I wished I had not seen. The car was apparently being driven on the wrong side of the road and played "chicken" with the truck. There was a female passenger in the car who survived. The driver of the truck was apparently a basket case when he came with his wife to clean out his truck. He suffered mental damage from the collision. It's sad how quickly life can change.
@@juliogonzo2718 Yeah, there was really no "winning" in that situation though.
This channel shows a lot of people, like this driver, who cross into the opposite side of the road and drive the wrong way.
It amazes me today. That people still drive without wearing seatbelts 😳?
Absolutely astonishing, but it did say the driver has his seatbelt on
Thinking he may have had a medical issue and passed out at the wheel.
my dad has an f-150 but it’s a 99 and it’s a different model compared to the one in this video, i drive it sometimes bc i don’t have a car atm and now i’m scared for my life to drive it after seeing this video, r.i.p to the driver, my heart goes out to the friends and family of the driver.

RIP WHO LOST THEIR LIVES. EMERGENCY WORKERS HAVE SUCH HEART
The poor guy had a heart attack. And it can happen to anyone.
I just hope, if it was his time, he was gone with the heart attack and didn’t suffer from the accident. 😢💔
Agree, hope it was fast and gone for him, that he didn't suffer from the crash.
@@thisisme3238 It appears that very well may have been the case.
@@jbmitch22 So glad he didn't suffer from the crash.
@@thisisme3238 For sure. The autopsy is tomorrow. Hopefully we'll have answers then.
I'm sorry for the families involved. A fantastic job by all first responders.
It says that man was ejected even though he did have his seat belt on. Well, it's no wonder! There's literally nothing left of that pickup, and the impact probably sheared the seat belt. I can't imagine it holding up to that kind of damage.
Dude, four wheel steering on that wrecker...cool
Why does this area of Texas have SO many fatal wrecks? TOO MANY people being taken TOO soon. Condolences to all.
@@ICY-HURR Yeah, and I guess you'd "Awww damn, my bad!"?
Pick up driver fell asleep or medical event. Drifting over without correcting.
I always pray for 105 bc that's a haunted road so many deaths.
2:49 stay out of the way just incase the cable loose dum dum
SH 105 has had way too many terrible fatal accident on that stretch of road. This is precisely why I have avoided this dangerous road for some time now.
Nothing wrong with the road, it's what's driving on it!...
The road itself is not the problem. People being in a hurry, inconsiderate of other drivers' or just plain idiots; cause accidents such as this. May all deceased involved; rest in peace.
@@bredanews That's implied...
Tow truck driver isn't exactly phi beta cappa, standing right in line with cable that could snap.
I was thinking the same thing
What exactly happened in this crash?? So very sad!!
What state is this?
It's impossible to even tell what the other vehicle is.
🙏🏼and condolences this is awful
What a great tragedy for all involved .Great respect for all the first responders the other motorists who tried to help the medics and all who clean up and remove the vehicles to pounds for forensic testing . May God help you all in your daily life and hug each member of your family before you leave for work it could be the last time the roads are ok it's the "take a chance driver that does the harm ,," be safe better a day late for work than a life too early in the next" God Bless all you people.
Oh people, please slow down and pay attention......
Some seriously overweight rescue workers here..!!!!!
Avoid hitting bucket trucks at all times!!!
Avoid hitting ANY ONE at all times.
Traffic on that side of 45 is getting more and more congested. Txdot needs to look into some improvements for safety.
You can’t even recognize the car because it’s so smashed
It's actually a F-150 truck. Check out the description...
You only need to look at the part of the vehicle that is not smashed, then you can clearly see it is a pick-up truck Ford F-150. You're welcome.
"I feel so much safer in a truck..."
I saw your tiktok its truly sad for the families
Just saw you at the library today
Omg. It's impossible to tell what kind if cars were in this terrible crash.
Why that happened??? Please, slow down, save your life
My father taught me a good lesson whilst driving, NEVER ASSUME ANYTHING AND NEVER TAKE YOUR EYES OFF THE ROAD ALSO IS YOU HAVE QUARTER OF AN INCH YOU CAN GET THROUGH.
Speed is definitely a contributing factor, as well as drink / drugs
could be medical event
Godbless this person and. Family
Thank you. We need it.
Condolences to all families May they R.I.P. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
R.I.P. for the victim.
What's in that Covid shot?
Wonder if he took the v*x?
@@thisisme3238 He didn't.
@@jbmitch22 Glad to hear that John!
I've never seen a tow truck where the 2 front axles are steering.
Rest in peace to everyone who never made it home that day.

Head on crashes and hitting the rear of semis seem to be ALWAYS Fatal, it's so sad man, in a blink of an eye, your gone
This haunts me even if we’re driving safe we’re not safe. Being on the road is a life and death situation

Who hit who.By the looks of that power truck, someone was moving fast
I'm amazed the bucket truck remained upright
Slow down!...you are getting nowhere in a hurry *
_"...when for unknown reasons crossed the center line...."?_ Come on, we all know why he passed the center line and it's called texting while driving. Texting while driving at least a 100 Miles per hour. This is not about some gentle lo-energy kiss. This is about a high velocity impact where a huge amount of kinetic energy got dissipated in an instant.
I'm sorry...did I miss when they said the cause? Oh, you just made that comment up. I know that people text and drive. But, it is unfair for you to lay blame without even knowing for sure. RIP to the person who passed away and prayers for the other driver and both families.

my father-in-law, sales manager, still on the road, saw a vehicle in front of him leave his line to go into a truck in front
the truck driver, shocked, said that the driver of the vehicle had his head tilted forward. he must have fallen asleep at the wheel.
my seriously shaken father-in-law bought himself a Volvo (5 stars in the crash test) the following week...
Wow took me a minute to realize what brand of truck it was
Small overlap crashes are devastating
They must have been speeding to create that much damage
Omg the truck. I feel so sorry for your area today.
All those can be buffed out.
New tyres, lick of paint, sticky tape...good as new. Back on the road again...Next......
To you and Rosemary who responded to you, please show some respect, saying that after seeing a fender bender is one thing and would be funny to most reading it, but in this case it’s not funny or appropriate.
I hate peoples trying to cut in front of you and change lanes without looking.
wow!!! that was one powerful head on
The one with the most lug nuts always wins.
You know it's bad when wearing your seatbelt & you still get ejected.
I think getting the driver's side ripped off screwed up the seat belt system.
