He hit 4 cars, killing one but he lived! They are checking for drugs or alcohol. We don’t have streamers like this in Ga. Excellent reporting Scott. Thank you
@@chuckgilly I guess since he was parked going the wrong way, and being off duty he didn’t think. But I agree there should have bern 2 cars. It would have saved a life.
Hard to imagine anyone surviving this wreck, but sometimes people get lucky. The driver was ejected and is apparently in stable condition, with a messed up leg. The car surely didn't hit the truck straight on, and the driver was lucky enough to be ejected onto the road and not into solid metal parts.
The drunk drivers always seem to survive. A cop told me once that it is because they are "limp" during the crash and their bodies tend to follow the path of the crash rather than fighting it. I have no idea if that is true.
Always great videos on a very depressing topic. We will never run out of dumb asses that cause these accidents. Thank you to all the emergency services people that deal with this on a daily basis. I hope everyone survived the makes a full recovery
We had two high school kids who skipped school hit a semi head on. Their bodies were part of the engine and had to be taken to the morgue with the engine. My friend on the sheriffs dept told me about that one
Thats all messed up.. I've seen people hit things running 100 mph and walk away without a scratch and then I've seen people hit the back of parked cars at 35mph and be killed instantly. You just never know
You gotta be blitzed drunk to not realize you driving the wrong way on a busy highway. The drunks usually survive because they don't tense up on impact. They're like a crash test dummy.
If she's drunk and anybody else was hurt she's looking at 2 to 10 years in prison. If she's been charged with drunk driving before that can be doubled. MADD follows these types of cases and will put pressure on a prosecutor
Such a horrific accident & injuries & she decides to flat out LIE about other passengers being in the car. Sooo disgusting. Wasting all those resources over her lie. She should have to pay for every single resource wasted because of her LIE
@@virginiaviola5097 no it won't matter her name she's in Texas they do not play with drunk drivers they stick it in and break it off. The affluenza kid that was drunk and killed a bunch of people just got lucky because of a stupid twit judge that is the exception.
Looks like the 2nd truck just barely missed hitting the first one. Glad those steel coils it was hauling were chained down good. In the past, hard stops or wrecks have sent those rolling into the cab of the truck.
There was a fatal semi crash where I live. Flatbedder hit a ditch at the end of a "T" road intersection and was killed. The nuance? He was hauling a Caterpillar wheel loader and it broke off its chains and rolled down the flatbed, over and through the cab, ripping the entire cab to pieces and wadding it up like a gum wrapper. Was one of those "bring a bucket" type of recoveries.
So what,,/why was the cause of the accident. I cant believe she survived this. Good thing there wasnt any passengers. God saved her, i hope she realizes this.
Ya just hate to be backed up in traffic and then see Life Flight landing on the highway....thats never a good sign. I hope the injured are doing better.
How can anyone in such a horrific accident, not knowing if you are going to die from your injuries even have a thought to LIE about other people being in the vehicle, it's sickening. For the record, she was listed in Stable condition at the Hospital later that day.
@triciasklodowske5653 Yeah but still, possibly the very last words out of her mouth are LIES. That's beyond an average drunk if that's all they can think of at that very moment. If she survives, she should have to pay back every nickle wasted in resources looking for other bodies. Disgusting human being
@@sherylstory7809 Immediately lying saying she was a Passenger In the vehicle is not a typical response to someone's brain "not working well" after going through something like that. It's a disgusting attempt to try to avoid what was probably a 2nd, 3rd, 4th ??? ....DUI. people with head/brain injuries are typically agitated & combative. If asked direct questions they may be confused. Being confused & flat out lying are totally different. If she was aware enough to understand she was in a very severe car accident & answering questions about it, she sure as heck wasn't speaking out of confusion about anything. As far as being stable, that happens A LOT after a drunk driver causes a major accident, the DRUNK usually survives while innocent drivers in their path lose their lives or end up physically & mentally crippled for the rest of their lives. This DRUNK was listed in STABLE condition in the Hospital later on that same day. She was a DRUNK who LIED immediately. Thank God she didn't kill anyone !!

I'd absolutely say that about any family member if they were responsible for causing that type of or any type of accident because of being under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Plus, I'd be there to support the family of the victim(s) so they will know that and see that I'm not believing and supporting my relative and trying to blame them for the accident like some actual do😡, one shouldn't always support a family member who does this more than once, yes, once, unfortunately, there has to be a first occurrence in order to realize that your family member needs to get help after the first incident and pray that it isn't as bad as this accident and not depend on the court system to fail the victims over and over again , which as we know happens WAY to often.
I had a brother and 2 friends in a Toyota Supra hit head on. This old man had 3 DWIs , and crossed the highway right before a cement devider . He drove 3 quarters of a mile gaining speed before hitting my brother head on. He had a suicide note safety pinned inside his jacket
@32a34a If you survived hitting a semi truck head on, consider yourself having your guardian angels watching over you. And, rather than attend Church as even "evil," people with dark hidden secrets attend Church. He'd better consider being "born again." That's what may eventually allow him into the golden gates if he then chooses to live his life for his Savior and not himself. I pray for him for a healthy recovery. Was he the only person in the car? No one else has been mentioned.
And as always, the police blame the truck drivers without investigating what happened, I was hit by a young lady and when the officer arrived he immediately told me, I was at fault, when he talked to the lady, she told him, "I don't know what happened, I guess I fell asleep "
I didn't see nor hear the truck driver being blamed. Not far into the video it was stated the car was traveling northbound on a southbound lane .. or vice versa
I hope they looked in the trees for bodies because years ago we had a flood and when the waters receded rescue workers combed the area looking for bodies, but they didn’t look up. About a week later, they found a body up in the treetop.
A group of young guys speeding ran off the road. When the police arrived three boys were roughed up but alive. Said they were the only three in the car. The next day a mother reported her teenage son missing. Three weeks later a farmer found his body in a field. He had been a passenger in the car with the boys. If they hadn’t lied, the police would have searched for him. A mother would have known that her son had been with them, and was in the car during the accident. It was a really tragic and f*cked up story.
We had a wrong direction accident here in our area some years ago involving a semi and a car. The semi driver didn't move over to avoid because the wrong way car would have hit the car behind him.
A few years ago we had an 89yo woman get on going the wrong way in broad daylight on an interstate road that had two lanes going each direction separated by a medium strip. A couple on a motorcycle were following a semi and decided to pass it. The truck driver was trying to warn the oncoming driver as the motorcycle moved over to the passing lane and immediately was struck by a vehicle going 60mph. Both on the motorcycle were killed and the older woman was just shaken up. Really was a sad situation.
I am a biker and have had a fair amount of training over the years. To live on 2 wheels you must assume the most defensive position because of the idiots out there. Three concepts keep you safer: No surprises, 360 vision, put it where they can't hurt you. Lots of sub issues with each one of those concepts (lane position, reading the road and the other drivers, escape routes etc) that have to be kept in mind while riding. I see that most bikers have no concept of defensive riding, they rely on hope and luck. That said, other drivers cause so many crashes with bikers.
Looks like the 18 wheeler won this one and only round hands down. That vehicle is a crumpled up Tuna Can tossed to the side. You Play, you Pay. 1 point to the Big Rig.. O points to the Tuna Can.
We're seeing far too many of these type of accidents. Under the influence or not, I believe some of these head-on's? Are INTENTIONAL. Even if a person is fairly lit? They KNOW those are headlights coming at them, which they NEVER should be- They pass cars within inches, yet, do they slow at all? NO. I've see a few of the accidents that were caught on tape, and if watched closely, you can see these drivers, the majority of which are female, move TOWARDS their eventual victim. Not that they know who the person is, of course, but they want the BEST vehicle, they can try to catch perfectly head on. This criminal was lucid enough to LIE about not being the driver, sending law enforcement & rescue personnel on a long, hard search, hoping to find survivors- when no other people were actually involved. There's something wrong here... and imo? An investigation needs to be launched, to look much deeper, and fully into these- just to be sure this isn't the case. With depression & the intentional destruction of the family unit in this country, do not be surprised if I'm proven right in the end. No doubt it's not all of these drivers... but I've a very bad feeling, it's enough to warrant the above. Many years ago I listed some solutions for this, when I began to notice it might be some kind of "trend" . Offered them freely, because we MUST put an end to this, or, of not related, at least get these numbers down, and make it much harder for this to occur.
I didn’t read every comment, but didn’t see anyone said if she was drinking at a local bar, and how much did she consume? I know now, the bartender has an obligation to say no if she asks for another drink. A man in Fl was arrested when a girl wrecked and she was killed. They blamed him for serving her too much liquor. And if she went bar hopping, they can hope she paid with credit card and track her drinks. Not counting someone buying her a few! This is A SICK GIRL. And yes the drunk do usually live. A drunk man in front of me in the 1980’s, before cell phones, was swerving on a long highway with no street lights and very curvy. He went off into the trees. I went to the nearest town and used a pay phone to call 911. I went back to the scene and the trooper said usually drunk people are flexible, but he ended up landing on the tailgate of his truck. I’m assuming he got sucked thru the back window and landed on tailgate

God bless all the 18 wheeler drivers and their families. God bless everyone who appreciates them as well. I'm sorry that the person driving the suv in the accident didn't fare as well as the people and dog in the truck. It's terrible that some people make terrible choices.
Scott always has good footage. Thanks, Scott.
Scott, your videos are always top notch!!!!
That lady had a guardian angel watching over her. She had better thank the good lord for watching over her
Whoever chained those coils down needs a trophy, and $10,000 bonus!
We just had this happen in Clayton County Ga. On 675. Driver was sleeping on median, off duty Ifficer woke him uo, very dazed but took off going South in the North bound. He hit 4 cars, killing one but he lived! They are checking for drugs or alcohol. We don’t have streamers like this in Ga. Excellent reporting Scott. Thank you
Some Police when they find someone passed out like that will have 2 cop cars box them in before trying to get them awakened. (Come to)
@@chuckgilly I guess since he was parked going the wrong way, and being off duty he didn’t think. But I agree there should have bern 2 cars. It would have saved a life.
I'm shocked this young lady is alive. God had her that night. I pray she gives him the Glory
No. Stop asserting BS that you can't demonstrate. Your logic is laughably absurd and your god is evidently not real. Grow up.
You survive something like that you really need to consider going to church for awhile.

The drunk drivers always seem to survive. A cop told me once that it is because they are "limp" during the crash and their bodies tend to follow the path of the crash rather than fighting it. I have no idea if that is true.
Love your videos
Always great videos on a very depressing topic. We will never run out of dumb asses that cause these accidents. Thank you to all the emergency services people that deal with this on a daily basis. I hope everyone survived the makes a full recovery
We had two high school kids who skipped school hit a semi head on. Their bodies were part of the engine and had to be taken to the morgue with the engine. My friend on the sheriffs dept told me about that one
Sounds like an incident that happened near Boyertown PA many years ago. I saw the truck and it was barely wrecked but the car was beyond recognition.
WOW! 😲
A speeding motorcyclist hit a mature male bear in Alberta Canada and driver was embedded in the bear. Needless to say both were deceased on impact.
Here in the Houston area?
Thats all messed up.. I've seen people hit things running 100 mph and walk away without a scratch and then I've seen people hit the back of parked cars at 35mph and be killed instantly. You just never know
Drunks usually do survive
You gotta be blitzed drunk to not realize you driving the wrong way on a busy highway. The drunks usually survive because they don't tense up on impact. They're like a crash test dummy.
If she's drunk and anybody else was hurt she's looking at 2 to 10 years in prison. If she's been charged with drunk driving before that can be doubled. MADD follows these types of cases and will put pressure on a prosecutor
She had to be wasted to survive that mangled mess. The DRUNK always lives. 🤦🏻♀️
Such a horrific accident & injuries & she decides to flat out LIE about other passengers being in the car. Sooo disgusting. Wasting all those resources over her lie. She should have to pay for every single resource wasted because of her LIE
Unless her name is Amber.
@@virginiaviola5097 no it won't matter her name she's in Texas they do not play with drunk drivers they stick it in and break it off. The affluenza kid that was drunk and killed a bunch of people just got lucky because of a stupid twit judge that is the exception.
@rbrown7170
This occurred 19 years ago. With a little bit of effort you could find out what happened.
A car taking out the entire front axle of a semi...yep had to be at least 130mph. Sure she was totally wasted ---the only way she lived.
This was from 04' im curious as to if the person made it?
Looks like the 2nd truck just barely missed hitting the first one. Glad those steel coils it was hauling were chained down good. In the past, hard stops or wrecks have sent those rolling into the cab of the truck.
Those coils would have destroyed the cab even with a headache rack.
Wow
@@JimDog794wow!
@@JimDog794
Headache racks are a bit of a joke. Unfortunately.
Amazing.
Please note this accident took place on June 22nd, 2004 per note at the beginning of this video.
So why is it being posted
now
Pretty damn vicious!!
That officer though..... 😍😍😍
Man that area is so different now. 2004 vs 2023 huge difference
Where was this?
Are those coils normally chained down at that angle? or did something shift due to the impact?
U want to have chains pulling back, and pulling forward
yes they have to be chained down that way so they dont move and apply force, potentially breaking other chains
So what,,/why was the cause of the accident. I cant believe she survived this. Good thing there wasnt any passengers. God saved her, i hope she realizes this.
Wrong way driver, probably drunk.
Drunk!!
@triciasklodowske5653 Yeah but still, possibly the very last words out of her mouth are LIES. That's beyond an average drunk if that's all they can think of at that very moment. If she survives, she should have to pay back every nickle wasted in resources looking for other bodies. Disgusting human being
Idt has anything to do with lying after what she just went through im sure her brain isnt working well i cant believe she was even stable after this🙏
I'm surprised she even survived but I'm sure she's now brain-injured.
Was it ti many Martoonis or too many martinis?
North park Mall?
omg.......she did survive......she had to have been DRUNK!!!
Aw c'mon. Don't go assuming. She's still human. What if she were a relative of yours. Would you want people saying that about your family member?
That are screwing around with her phone.
@@jlouis5217 only a DRUNK would be stupid enough to be going 100 mph at 145am and relaxed enough to survive that mangled mess. You don't have to be a genius to figure that out. The drunks always live. Don't be stupid.
@@jlouis5217 Relative or not, sometimes they need a bit of a reality check. Is she human, really? That is a bit of an assumption that you are making. Human beings use common sense and intelligence. Common sense and intellingence tells us not to drive over 100 mph in the wrong direction.
That was a mitsubishi 3000 GT. now only the remains. I havent seen soo bad wreck a long time ago....

Wow
Is this on VHS tape how old is this video?
The load stayed tied. That roll of steel must weigh 40 or 50 tons. Whats the weight limit on a big truck?
I had a brother and 2 friends in a Toyota Supra hit head on. This old man had 3 DWIs , and crossed the highway right before a cement devider . He drove 3 quarters of a mile gaining speed before hitting my brother head on. He had a suicide note safety pinned inside his jacket
That awful, I’m sorry to hear about the loss and pain. Praying 🙏🏼 you. Peace and safety.
Why? Why do they always have to take someone with them? Known or unknown. Car, plane, Gun, Knife? Whatever. If you're going to do it, do it alone.
This is why people should not drink and drive! This just forever changed and ruined several lives
A good Dashcam kills lies instantly.
@@diegosilang4823 yes it does, but back in 2000 there weren't many affordable dash cams, it would have been great to have one back then
I didn't see nor hear the truck driver being blamed.
What do you think they were doing at 5:13, playing hide and seek?
I didn't see any flooding.

We had a wrong direction accident here in our area some years ago involving a semi and a car. The semi driver didn't move over to avoid because the wrong way car would have hit the car behind him.
That’s selflessness.

That woman's Angels were all there. By the grace of God. That was a bad fatality and she got out of there in stable condition. Wow
That said, other drivers cause so many crashes with bikers.
wow how did she survive that!!
Alcohol wins every time

What they looking for , small body parts ?
Where is that location?
Was the auto driver hurt?
Is it mandatory for cops to wear the cowboy hats in that state?

Permanently take her license away. This happens all too often.
