@iskra1234 Leeds is local. Not a regular occurrence though. I do remember BR blue Fusilier on a special to York. It was late due to striking a cow on route, some of which was still hitching a ride on the mini snow ploughs. Yuk. I do like the current blue though. No blood😂
Hi, I appreciate your frustration on this one but there is such a large amount of railway clutter on the end of that platform it was the best option available at the time.
Hi, this is due to the access restrictions and clutter at the end of the platform at Paddington. This was taken behind a fence, and through a gap between a signal and some other equipment. Unfortunately this was the best available angle as P1 was crowded with people on the tour and I was travelling on the tour myself. For better footage see my other video from the same railtour departing Tame Bridge Parkway later that day :)
Being up north they weren't around us, we were diesel electric up here. Looks good. Love it in blue.
It depends on your definition of North, but they did get as far North as Leeds in BR days, there’s a photo of one at Rotherham on RailForumsUK

Those Western class locomotives were amongst the most iconic in the early days of diesel.
I absolutely agree and it was great to see one back at Paddington
Thank you! Hope you had a great day!
Nice shot 👍
Thank you!
I was on it - wish I’d thought to nip around to platform 2!!!
Me too, it was a great tour. Yeah, it was the only way to get anything remotely decent, P1 was rammed.
I saw it walking through Paddington station
Nice, the train made a great sight in there :)
I saw it on a Sunday on Liz line
It'll be the first time in a very long time since that happened.
Indeed, probably explains why all 13 carriages were sold out even on a Sunday!
IZ it recent tourr?
Hi this was last Sunday, the 14th. Hope that helps :)
Why do people insist on filming things in portrait?

Because that's their choice if they wish to do so...
Why vertical aspect camera?

Get rid of the wires , 1975 again 😀👍
Get rid of the wires - full stop!
I hope there was a DE on the other end...else the coaches are going to get very cold / stuffy with no ETH !!!!
Yeah GBRF 57303 was on the other end :)
