    This is a really cool project. I remember watching the Jetsons as a kid way back when. I'd like to see a version 2 of this where her antenna's are on ball pivots to allow independently moving them around using servos. It would also be nice if she could nod her head up and down.

    • @MrVolt
      @MrVolt 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! I really wanted to add wiggly antennae to her, but I ran out of time. There's definitely plenty of space in her for V2!

    @awo1fman 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    That's awesome! Maybe a camera hidden in one of her buttons (there's nowhere in her face to put one without ruining the aesthetics) and a voice changer would allow you to hide and interact with other people through her.

      Mr. Volt if you want to make some SERIOUS money, you might consider creating the Time Circuits Display from Back To The Future films. If you make the display and metal case, they sell for about $1500., and to my knowledge, there’s only one guy overseas who makes them and they’re always on back order. You’d be surprised how many DeLorean owners are seeking them. And there’s a guy in TX and another in FL who build replica time machines for around $70K who’d also be very interested. Also, the much easier Flux Capacitor electronics.

    I think she's off to a fantastic start! I know nothing about making robots, but you made this seem doable for even a rookie. She looks just like she does in the animated series. I'd love to hear her answer questions in that iconic "Rosie" voice (or even another iconic Rosie voice-hint hint) similar to Alexa. Also, I didn't see the body, but I always thought her feet sort of looked like the rollers on an old fashioned office desk chair. Keep up the great work and thanks for sharing!

    She looks amazing. He did Rosie some serious justice. My only complaint, if want to call it that, is that he went to all that trouble to make her look so real but neglected to sand the parts to a smooth finish before painting and assembly. I don't know but 3d printing parts and not sanding them down really bothers me.

    • @MrVolt
      @MrVolt 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Dont worry, I cringe at my paint job on her too. I ran out of time while building her and focused on mechanical elements first. Ill likely rebuild her on my personal channel for Rosie 2.0!

    Good start on building a Rosie right. The proportions look good. The mouth might need a tongue. She had one in her first appearance. Don't know about the other episodes. For the wheels, you might have to go to treads so she can climb stairs.
