    The great thing about arduino is that you only really need the chip itself. It doesn’t really need many passive components. You could order a custom PCB with all the required components and a solid copper layer at the bottom as a ground plane, acting as a built-in shield. You can make the main board as thin and light as you want, even flexible! Give it a try.

    • @AVI-xo1kb
      @AVI-xo1kb 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      but that again raises the difficulty of diy, he prolly wanted to make it simple so that anyone can try.

    • @PunakiviAddikti
      @PunakiviAddikti 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@AVI-xo1kb You'd think that, but designing your own PCB is easy to learn. Your computer does all the heavy lifting and if you wish, you can try autorouting. That means the software connects everything for you. Then just upload all the files and order your new PCB's for cheap, and I mean cheap. Depending on the size and complexity, you can get 10 PCBs for as cheap as 5 bucks.
      But there is a caveat. Soldering SMD chip packages can be very challenging. You can also order complete PCB's but that'll cost you parts+extra.

    • @AVI-xo1kb
      @AVI-xo1kb 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@PunakiviAddikti that is the point IK pcb designing is easy you can do it yourself after a bunch of tutorials as I am learning pcb designing but pcb isn't as cheap as you think depending on the location it will raise the project cost significantly for example at my location if I do this project the cost of pcb simply outweighs the pros and joy of doing this project and again if you are near fab it's cheap but if you are far away then you will notice the difference

    • @MaxImagination
      @MaxImagination  10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Making it modular allows for others to recreate the drone with more ease. Using PCBs cuts out most makers already, especially those who are beginners or who won't bother ordering an additional PCB alongside the components.

    Add small powerful neodimium magnets on the outside of the motors inline with the pole pare inside.

    The DYI MVP right here . But,.......
    ,,,
    but,,,
    ,,,
    ,,,,
    "this copper tape to ground...." .... How do you ground something that is in the air? Flying? Wouldn't it build up a charge?
    Would incorporating a resistor help? Converting electrical energy to heat?
    I remembered this trick from a time I had Corsair peripherals...I'd always get shocked.... you could even see the spark some times using the mouse....keyboard was even worse. Adding a resistor(value depends on situation) onto the ground where the usb connected to the pcb alleviated this situation. This was partly o do with the peripherals tilizing USB mini.... I believe many new USB C designs incorporate this resistor set up into the pcb in this manner and there is no nee for concern....but' seeing that tis is a completely DYI contraption....could help...and possibly providing the ability to remove the hefty copper tape...since in a way that tape is basically a resistor in its self.

    • @MaxImagination
      @MaxImagination  7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      When I said "ground it" I meant to solder the copper sheet to GND (ground or the Arduino), this helps enforce a stronger EMI shield for sensitive components onboard. This has nothing to do with ground currents or electricity that shocks.
      Cheers.

    you can not even imagine how much you helped me by creating this video butt it would be veryyyyy veryyyyyyyyyyy helpful if you made the motor driver part a little bit more clear with better instructions........ or just made a dedicated pcb for the motor driver that we could order from online such as from JLC PCB or PCB WAY...... that would have been veryyy veryy helpful as making the motor driver by hand would be veryy challenging and difficult for someone like me........ and also the fpv camera that you gave link to says it is unavailable and I can not find it from any other website that is available in my region.......Can you pleasee give me some suggesion on what I can do ?? and again THANK YOU VERYY MUCHHH....... veryyy good content......keep going.....I am always with you....

      Thanks for your feedback and support!. To further help someone like you, I may include some close-up images of the motor driver in the project files folder soon. Keep your eyes peeled for that.
      Also, keep in mind that there's a circuit diagram showing how the motor driver is wired, making it easier to follow along to the tutorial.
      The FPV camera I ordered for this project is currently out of stock, I'm not in control of that. Maybe give it some time and the sellers may restock it. I may also look for a suitable alternative out there to link.
      Cheers!
