Giving everyone a peek into the making of Clean is such a treat. It was really cool to see the prototype in a modular setup. What an interesting way to really poke all the parameters! I love this pedal. Can’t wait to order one for myself this holiday season!!
This is such a delight and so very HUMAN. Sometimes we forget about the people and the work that goes in to making these pedals. I just love these insights.
A nice demonstration that the biggest step towards doing *anything* innovative in audio (which this is) is to first LISTEN to the things you like (and sometimes don't like), describe, analyze, and deconstruct what is going on and what the sonic components you like are really doing, and then figure out how to make them happen. Observation->Description->Analysis->Prediction->Replication.
Amazing to see 1) how much time goes into making something that, outwardly, seems so straightforward but is really complex, and 2) how much passion and encouragement there is along the way. Really neat!
A peek behind the curtain! Love the approach of trying to give the clean tone as much attention as the dirty tone people always focus on. Thank y'all for all your hard work!
Speaking as someone who picked up a guitar in the early 90s from listening to Death Metal, I grew to absolutely adore a nice clean tone when I am playing. Sure, total heaviness and brutality is fun and all. But, chilln' with a sweet clean tone is great too.
This is now on the short list of boxes I can’t wait to fork over my hard earned dollars for and be so so grateful to have to play through. Thank you for all the creative ways you make sound even more fun.
Such a cool and inspiring video! What a intense process and wonderfull work you all did! And also wow to the video edit: Going through years of your discord, searching for all these comments and get them tied to the video journal... what a mountain of work!
Love the video and giving us an insiders view on the process, along with all of the Slack messages. Can't wait to get my hands on Clean when they start shipping!
Look at you guys, taking money from me that I didn’t even know that I had. What an incredible journey that led to this pedal. Cannot wait for mine to arrive!
Your main theme sounded like El Ten Eleven if they were writing in the 50s. In a good way! Nice job chaps it's an exciting innovation in the world of compressionizers.
I love this, the fact you all use slack makes this feel real to me, which is a little weird I love all the context, this was clearly a pedal that is loved
Had to pause and say that.... Wow. I love the white and all, but green?? Might hold out on this until a special edition green version is released. Because its gorgeous.
AAHHHHHH I literally commented on a JHS video like a month ago about a distortion pedal of theirs (PG-14) that emulates sag, and I asked if they would ever consider doing a sag pedal but with clean tones - as I could get the PG-14 to sag with only a gentle overdrive tone. I started my search for a pedal that could do this with clean tones and I finally think I found it 😭 it's like the heavens answered my prayers. I've pre-ordered!!!!
If you own any real rackmount compressors, this is basically just a $400 tremolo that does unpredictable things to the stereo image lol. Maybe I’m the only one that doesn’t want to combine that with compression. I don’t get it but yeah, I agree. I would love to play around with this thing for sound design purposes, but 400 bucks no thanks
I had to watch this at .75 speed😅 I love your story videos. It gives a connection to the pedal before I even order or own it. Nice work! Slow the editing down a bit😬
Knowing you guys, my guess is there will be a black enclosure version for the 1yr anniversary. Now the question is: can I wait that long without buying one?
Hi Joel and team! It’s Moses Harris! (Matt’s son if you don’t remember) But I finally made a TH-cam channel with my Lego stuff on it! Would you guys hate me if I posted the chase bliss promo vid, you can say no 100%! Love you guys! Miss yas
I vacillate between hating that innovation lies firmly in the hands of the well-off (wonder why rock is dead?), and wanting to take out a paypal loan to get the damn thing.
I’m sorry but I have to agree. I support this company and own 2 of their pedals but no matter how much I want to like this, I’m not understanding the hype. It sounds bad 😂
Maybe it’s not for you? Maybe that’s ok? If I don’t like something but someone else does is the thing good or bad? I enjoyed listening to this. Am I wrong? Am I nobody?
Sure, most of the things chase Bliss releases are not for most people if we’re going to be real. But when every bloody comment is people like TAKE MY MONEY I’LL TAKE OUT A LOAN AND STARVE TO DEATH JUST SO I CAN BUY THIS THING blah blah blah. You can’t be that mad when someone chimes in and calls it an overpriced tremolo😂. To each their own, but I could think of 100 better uses to spend that money in my studio. Enjoy I guess
The pedal sounds great. I have to say this video approach of relying heavily on text messages does nothing good for me. A section or two like this to give a feel for the workflow of the group would be appealing, but trading a video for a text-thread recap just strikes me as a poor one. Given the very high standard you have set with videos, I felt it was required of me to share this. Not to be a downer - the peddle is exciting, and the story was worth telling.

Congrats to everyone working on Clean! This is such an amazing idea / concept for a video. More like this for future releases please :)

why do you guys always do the best video? the stereo sounds amazing

You guys are the Industrial Light and Magic of the Pedalverse
Charlie deep into Elden Ring like the rest of us. Truly a man of the people.

Oh man those black versions of Clean looked *puts on sunglasses* Clean. Great work, guys. Can't wait to plug mine in soon!
A glimpse into what it takes to make something. Few people know the struggle is truly real! Well done guys.

I've been waiting for this for a very, very long time. This video validâtes what I hope(d) CLEAN will be. Someone in France is very happy.
Love the video and giving us an insiders view on the process, along with all of the Slack messages. Can't wait to get my hands on Clean when they start shipping!
Love this, so cool to see the story of...
Ahhh! What a fantastic documentation of the process. MOAR PLEEZ!
Using modular synths to prototype the pedal kinda blew my mind
Same. It shouldn’t have.. but yeah
wow, love this behind the scenes look...more of this please! ..not to mention the pedal..!!!
Look at you guys, taking money from me that I didn’t even know that I had. What an incredible journey that led to this pedal. Cannot wait for mine to arrive!
Mine shipped today. Cant wait to put it before and then after my Mood and disappear from the outside world for a few days. Great work as always 👍
Dudes! Very cool to see all the work that was put into this. Can't wait to try it out!
Great video showing the behind the scenes work. Ordered mine last week and can’t wait to get it! A lot of those other color options were really nice.

Wow.. What brilliance.. You guys rock.
This was such a joy to watch. Also, as someone working alone in Toronto, it kind of makes me long to be part of a team again.
I love this company
Loved this video. So cool to see your process and obviously created with love.
Had to pause and say that.... Wow. I love the white and all, but green?? Might hold out on this until a special edition green version is released. Because its gorgeous.
i want green too
Amazing. Really. Well done. It worked and I love you guys
Really inspiring! Excellent work, y’all!
Loved this doc. Fantastic
what an absolutely enjoyable video. brilliant.
Love that demo track that sounds like McBaise did a happy song for the Hylics 2 OST
The amount of time this takes is the most shocking part. Now I know why they cost so much lol. Further justifying my addiction
even the documentation is clean, dang, well done chasers
killer pedal! was the clean on sale during the black friday sale? or did chase bliss cover the customs fees during the sale within EU?
Clean was not on sale. We covered all customs fees during the sale.
AAHHHHHH

this is such a cool video! thank you for sharing
That black version was 🔥
I could never afford the pedal but damn did i love the video!!
Maaaaaaaan I wanna use this at FOH on drums so bad
great documentary!
Hero's journey indeed
I already preordered but seeing this video I want to order another one.
Not clear this is very useful if you already have a great compressor and modulation pedals. Might be interesting to play with though.

i kinda like the looks of the beta units a lot. makes me think of painting my CBA pedals.
Can’t wait. Preordered mine Day 1
It's interesting that there is a prototype eurorack version. Meanwhile, I'm velcro-ing this pedal on a blank panel on my Eurorack case lol
are you doing a dynamic harmonic series manipulation?!!?!?
I would buy the soundtrack to this video.
I had to watch this at .75 speed😅 I love your story videos. It gives a connection to the pedal before I even order or own it. Nice work! Slow the editing down a bit😬
awesome video :)
Knowing you guys, my guess is there will be a black enclosure version for the 1yr anniversary. Now the question is: can I wait that long without buying one?
aw that was touching
How does it work with bowed instruments?
Great! It's pretty neutral compression so it will help bring out the best in your strings without much coloration.
I'll take a eurorack one!
Been waiting for an actually pleasing green pedal. Shame you passed on it.
Hi Joel and team! It’s Moses Harris! (Matt’s son if you don’t remember)

Hey! Dan here. Email me at help@chasebliss.com and we can talk about it!
🤠
These dudes are super proud to be dudes lol
Yeah right, whaaaaaat's next????
Overpriced Tremolo. Got it
I vacillate between hating that innovation lies firmly in the hands of the well-off (wonder why rock is dead?), and wanting to take out a paypal loan to get the damn thing.
Cool idea. Don't know/care about the rest.
Does it do anything but make stupid warbly noises nobody wants to listen to?
There’s an entire community of tape delay enthusiasts that disagree with that sentiment.
I’m sorry but I have to agree. I support this company and own 2 of their pedals but no matter how much I want to like this, I’m not understanding the hype. It sounds bad 😂

@@hockeytalk6084 thankfully your inability to afford nice things doesn’t preclude the rest of us from enjoying them.

It’s an amazing pedal but $400 is an absurd price! Why do your pedals have to be so damn expensive?
