Ok, dropped food on the floor, you say five second rule applies. That makes you a pro. Cooking outdoors when it is raining that hard, pro again. Excellent video. Food looks awesome. Hope to see more.
We do something similar in SC, but we use Old Bay with corn and blue crab instead of beans and snowcrab; we've got tons of both. Plus some Better than Bullion lobster base.👍
I like your tip about the minced garlic instead of the cloves. Brilliant. I always add fairly large whole mushrooms because they soak up the flavor from the boil like crazy. Flavor bombs. And fresh corn on the cob cut in half is a crowd favorite at my boils.
Funny thing about this video is I actually had mushrooms and corn but ended up forgetting to add both 🤣 filming and cooking really takes a toll on my memory
Awesome🔥 recipe! you can also try the juicy crab seasonings as well, the flavor they provide is just wonderful😋..thanks for sharing the video. Keep up the good work👍
Is 3 lemons enough for 60 quarts im doing 6 lb shrimp next week in a 60 quart pot. I’m confused on the amount of lemons and how much powder seasoning to use
Am I missing something? Wouldn't it taste better with the seasoned juice in it? It seems like a waste but I've never made it yet, ordered a nice deep fryer to try sometime in the near future. That looks amazing by the waym
You'll be very surprised when you realize just how much flavor/juice this soaks up on its own. The soak time is dependent on spice level, the longer you let it soak the spicier. After years of doing it we've kind of found our sweet spot. Good luck on yours!!
Doing my First boil in 2 days got a question. How much water do I start with in my 60 quart pot for 15 lbs crawfish, 5 lbs shrimp, 5 pounds Crab legs, 4 pounds mussles, 2-3 lbs sausage?+corn, taters, mushrooms? I'm thinking about 8 quarts? Please advise.
I'll let you go on the frozen crab, but, if you live in the south frozen shrimp is unacceptable! Here in Georgetown SC it's fresh brown or pink, or no boil! Blue crab and crawfish also!
Wonderful recipe! Do be cautious the zatarains boil is extremely spicy. It was tolerable for me, but not good for the other spice sensitive people in my group.
Dude was like, just a 60 quart pot for 2 people 😂
Love this video
Looks GREAT! ...That's A LOT for 2 people!

Haha the foods too good to waste! Thanks for watching!
Good stuff man. Thanks. You made it simple to follow

I love all the citrus!
Great video. I tend to let the potatoes cook for about 15 min since they take the longest

Outstanding Bro!!!!
That looks delicious 😋.
Cool video.On point to the point.Looks delicious.Ty.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed!
Wow looks amazing! I’ll definitely be trying one of these next week Only one down side here in Australia…the crab boil seasoning is over $100 a tub 🙈
Holy smokes! I think it goes for around $9 here.
Make your own…
I put my shrimp in with shells…never did it without
That's what we prefer, the shells hold the flavor in a little better.
Doing one of these tonight! Will be my first one. This will go down well with some good brews!
Agreed! You can even add a brew to the pot! Good luck!
looks delicious... great video...
Thanks for watching!
Looked amazing buddy! Thumbs up goodness ~John
Thanks man!
great vid!
Thanks for watching!!
Yeah BUCS 4 LIFE
How much water should I add to my 60 qt loco for this boil recipe?
I'm honestly not sure. I usually eyeball mine, which depends on the ingredients going in. Sorry, I know that's not a great answer.
Is 3 lemons enough for 60 quarts im doing 6 lb shrimp next week in a 60 quart pot. I’m confused on the amount of lemons and how much powder seasoning to use
Might need 1 or 2 more
@@eikenbbq9023 do you know how much zataranes I need for 60 quarts and 5 to 6 lbs shrimp?
You lost me on the green beans 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂 Don't knock it til you try it!
Can you tell me how to make the butter that you're dipping things in
Your hilarious 😂 5 seconds
Thanks for watching!
Great video! Love the green beans idea. I think I'm gonna try cauliflower in mine.
That's a great idea! Let me know how it turns out and good luck!

Sorry, I'm not much for measuring so I'm not help here 😂 I usually fill my pot halfway up and let it ride.
@@eikenbbq9023 - I can roll with that. Thanks for the advise!
Do you start off with peeled or unpeeled shrimp?
I always use unpeeled. The shell helps hold the liquid in.
@@eikenbbq9023 thanks! We have a small group of us heading to La for a fishing trip soon and are planning on doing a boil while we are there
HOW MUCH WATER DO YOU START WITH ??
I fill with the amount of ingredients in mind. I think this one was around 2/3 full.
Where did you get that giant wooden spoon thingy?
I found that one at Lowe's
Academy also sells them
Have you ever used that to steam oysters? Just got one and I'm trying to see how its done
Unfortunately I haven't, sorry buddy.
@@eikenbbq9023 right on, thanks. Great vid btw
Nice!
Thanks!
Trying it right now with your vid as help! 👌🏼👍🏼
Awesome, let me know how it turns out!
@@eikenbbq9023 it was delicious !!!
Awesome, glad to hear it!
How many quarts was your pot?
60
@@eikenbbq9023
Wow, and 5 pounds of snow crabs? Hmm I’m doing 84 ounces. Would that be 6 pounds?
Haha yeah, we stuff it full and I'm not sure what that would be.
@@eikenbbq9023
Would king crabs be too big for the pot you think?
No idea, we only eat snow crabs
No salt, crab boil has enough salt in it already. I also use whole bulbs of garlic.
We prefer to add a little salt, to each their own. Thanks for watching!
For 2? I need to step it up
I’m sorry... did you say this was for two people!?!?!? Either way...well done!
😂😂😂 yes, it was a feast for sure!
That is for two people? 🤔
Haha, we bring it to our neighbors after we feast.
Where can I get the cooker ?
I found mine on clearance at Walmart. I've seen them at Lowe's, Home Depot and on their online store.
Why the butter? I’ve never seen that before 🤔
Butter helps the meat to separate from the shell similar to vinegar. It also gives a nice flavor.
@@eikenbbq9023 makes sense, thank you!
I feel like the green beans would throw the taste off
They add no flavor, but they absorb all of the flavor.
I'll let you go on the frozen crab, but, if you live in the south frozen shrimp is unacceptable! Here in Georgetown SC it's fresh brown or pink, or no boil! Blue crab and crawfish also!
How many did this feed
6 people, probably enough for 8 though
@@eikenbbq9023...thank you ...doing one this week 14 people...can't wait
🔥🔥🔥
Wonderful recipe! Do be cautious the zatarains boil is extremely spicy. It was tolerable for me, but not good for the other spice sensitive people in my group.
For sure, we use it all of the time and love it but it can definitely be a little much for others.
Whats the pups name?
That's Peyton, my grilling buddy
"im gonna give this a taste test.... Saltier than the ocean, just right!"
Sorry bro, too much salt for me, the sea food is already salty enough
No need to be sorry my man 😂😂 world would be real boring if we all liked the same things. Thanks for watching!
What's so Cajun about Alaskan snow crab?
The seasoning 😃
That is a lot of food for 2 people.
Just the way we like it 😅
what a needless expense on your spice mixes.......its 80% paprika, 20%celery salt and garlic just mix your own for 1/4 the cost
Cmon dude you gotta wash your crab and potatoes 🥺🥺
😂😂 I'm not cooking for you bud
@@eikenbbq9023 lol that's true.
Bro no washing of none of the stuff!
You're only getting what I allow you to see 😂 most people don't care to see me wash things but it does happen behind the scenes.
Did you say all that good food is for 2 people?!
🤣🤣 We typically bring some to our friends too
Feeds two??? Thats a crap ton of food lol
Liquid fire
Basically 😂😂
That's why I BLESS my food! They do this at restaurant and home. 5 seconds my butt! no such rule if it the ground or floor it's NASTY!😝
Heat will kill anything that gets to it. Boil you for 20 minutes, you'll be dead too
2 cups of salt? This is the first boil recipe I saw that calls for salt.
About that, yes
@@eikenbbq9023 got it. Just don’t tell my doctor
What the hell kind of sausage was that?? Sorry, I’m from the north.
Conecuh Sausage, once you use it you won't do it any other way.
Two people can't eat all of that. Shit that's enough for like 5 to 6 people but it looks good
It's actually hard to buy ingredients for a small amount of people when doing these. We ended up sharing with family.
Where’s the crawfish
Bone available at the time here in FL, that's why I chose the shrimp boil
Looks great wish you washed the meat…
Washing the meat is a little too unsanitary for me.
Ya don't wash your shrimp and check they are cleaned
