    Dude, apart from the very good on point information in this video, I really like the 80s touch of the visuals. Very nice, keep it up! Gonna buy this nice piece of hardware now. ;-)

    Hello from North Carolina USA! I hate to say, your review fails to explore the MOST important aspect of this new mixer, and that is to do with streaming/podcasting. Well, I don't do either. This mixer replaced a Mackie ProDX4 which didn't have Phantom power support but did have Bluetooth. I also have a Mackie ProFX6v3 mixer with USB. That one has 2 USB outs and 4 USB ins whereas this Yamaha only has 2 in, 2 out. The big deal about USB 4 in, is to support loopback from a PC using a DAW. Today I plugged my Galaxy S22+ via a USB C to C cable, and though the volume was kind of low, it was adequate to listen to music from the cellphone via the AG06-Mk2 on a PA speaker. Plus mix in microphone to do my favorite thing: karaoke! :) But surely, this mixer is meant to be used with a PC or Mac. Not sure about iPad. Will look up the manual, using the link you gave to Franco below.

      Hi Raja. Greetings from Kuala Lumpur!
      Thank you for your comments. I'd like to clarify that this was never meant to be a review but a simple introductory look at the product and its set of features. Perhaps I'd do an in-depth review if there's a demand for it.

    Hello, I am buying one AG06 m2 this weekend but I have a question you might be able to answer. I had bought a V8 card ( instant regret ) that came with a bm800 mic. I was told that I can not use that mic with this mixer. Is that true ? And if yes can I just get an adapter instead of buying a new mic ? I am in the U.S and my son in Germany. We love to sing on TikTok but with the Sound card it sounded like I was singing in a can and the music was also sounding eggy.

    • @Studio2105
      @Studio2105  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The BM800 is objectively not a great choice to begin with but setting that point aside, you should be able to use it with the AG06 with no issues. As it is a condenser microphone you will need to switch on the +48V phantom power on the mixer.
      P.S. I recommend getting the Audio-Technica AT2020. For an entry-level mic, it blows the competition out of the water.

    Thank you very much for your kind words! I take the opportunity to ask you for advice. I would really love to be able to stream live in an easy way via TH-cam for example on TikTok and other platforms.
    That's why I am looking for a compact but high-quality device (for use with 2 to 4 mics with phantom power). This device (Yamaha AG06MK2 Live Streaming Mixer) seems suitable to me, but is it really compatible with iPhone and iPad Pro 2021 (USB C) for recordings on the go? Or do you recommend something else? This is of course something else but I was also thinking of this device type : Yamaha MG12XUK...If the AG06MK2 is suitable I'd love to hear about it but I'd be happy to listen to your expert advice. I would even like to make sound and video recordings with it and make a review if the device really satisfies. Best regards! Franco Di Nitto

    Hi! Can I send different tracks from my DAW to different outputs of these Yamahas?

      I don't think you can. The USB interface is only 2-in / 2-out.

    model! choose between FOCUSRITE Scarlett 2i2 4th Gen (200$), Roland rubix22 (230$). Yamaha AG06MK2 (330$).
    You need a sound card to record a musical instrument with a condenser microphone.
    The thing is that occasionally I am invited to perform somewhere (there I need a mixer)
    The question is: is it worth considering yamaha ag06 mk2 for these purposes? (from the minuses for me: no equalizer and the necessary effects).
    Or will it be more reasonable to take a separate sound card and a full-fledged mixer?

      It has powerful DSP functions (compressor, EQ, Reverb & amp sim) which are controlled via the AG Controller app.

      As far as I'm aware in most mixers the headphones and monitor output are separate paths.

    Nothing but problems on windows. They update the driver and still it cuts in and out when streaming.

      I'm not an iPhone user but you'll probably have to get a USB-C to 3.5mm headphone adapter. Even then I'm not sure if you would run into any issues because I have no idea if the adapter output is TRS or TRRS. Best to contact your local Yamaha dealer.

    Hi there, I'm wondering if you can help answer a question I have about this mixer. I am looking at using it for live-streaming my music performances and I need to connect 3 input sources simultaneously (Mic, Guitar, Stompbox) for streaming. Can this mixer do this? Can you stream/record 3 tracks simultaneously or can you only do 2 tracks at once? Thanks!

    • @Studio2105
      @Studio2105  ปีที่แล้ว

      In theory the AG06mk2 can accept up to 6 inputs. 2 x mono XLR combi jacks, a pair of 1/4" (L/R Stereo) and another pair of RCA (L/R Stereo).
      It depends on what type of stompbox you are using?

    • @robertcini
      @robertcini ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Studio2105 Thanks for the reply. It's just an acoustic percussive-style stompbox that you actually tap your foot on (ie. a plank of wood with a pickup or mic inside). I'm not referring to a effects stompbox say for electric guitar. Just wanting to know if I can use more than 2 channels simultaneously while streaming from this mixer?

    • @Studio2105
      @Studio2105  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for clarifying. The AG06mk2 has only 2 mic/instrument inputs which will be probably be taken up by your mic + guitar. The remaining 4 inputs are line-level meaning they are designed to take line-level sources from keyboards/synths or other external gear. This probably means that it won't properly accommodate the output level from your "stompbox".
      To answer your other question, although you can simultaneously use up to 6 channels from different sources, the output stream is only 2-channel stereo. Most USB mixers in the market regardless of how many inputs can only output 2 channels.

    • @robertcini
      @robertcini ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Studio2105 Thanks so much for that. Ah yes ch 3 is line level isn't it! I wonder if I could do something external to accommodate my stompbox like a DI?? It is good to know too that you can use all the channels simultaneously....Thanks heaps mate.

    • @Studio2105
      @Studio2105  ปีที่แล้ว

      Ideally you'll need a DI with some sort of preamp. I believe there are some guitar preamp pedals that'll work.
      If it's just a DI alone it may not work well as a DI box takes a low-impedance instrument/line level signal and converts it into a balanced mic-level signal.
      You're most welcome.

    • @Studio2105
      @Studio2105  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Joseph. Inputs 3 & 4 are line level inputs and not meant for directly plugging in instruments with pickups. You will need to use a D.I. box or some kind of preamp pedal.
      Channel 2 (with the "guitar" switch depressed) is designed to handle instruments with pickups such as guitars/bass.

    I have one mic who uses Phantom power and one who doesn't. can I switch phantom on just for the one that needs it? (one is connected via XLR and one through p10)

    • @Studio2105
      @Studio2105  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      On compact mixers such as this, phantom power is usually a global on/off switch. You can mix and match microphones (dynamic or condenser) without any problems.

    • @pineapplej7310
      @pineapplej7310 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      the phantom power switch on this mixer turns it on for both XLR inputs. If you have a mic that doesnt use phantom power it is most likely fine to run it with phantom anyway. However, if you have a mic that specifically cant handle phantom, get a phantom power blocker! theyre out there

    • @andrekaled
      @andrekaled 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@pineapplej7310 I'll try running the phantom powered one through the XLR and the non phantom through P10
