    THIS IS BY FAR THE BESSSSSSST EXPLANATION OF OUTPUT ROUTING Options of this Audio Mixer:) Or any output routing options so to speak:)

      Hello! Good Morning:) With Yamaha AG06 Stereo Out, can I only use TRS Balanced cable?

    • @RecordingStudio9

      Best to use TRS balanced, but TS will work too.

    Hi! Thanks a lot for this video! Question: The set up with Dry input works as you said with a microphone and a guitar. But, if I connect a stereo keyboard to line IN (2-3) instead of a guitar, it doesn't work. Means I can't have the mic on input 1 and the keys on input 2-3 ? Thanks!!

    • @RecordingStudio9
      @RecordingStudio9  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      No, the USB audio is only 2 channels, left and right.
      The dry signal is only for Ch1 mic and Ch2 guitar.

      @@RecordingStudio9 OK I'm starting to understand. So say, if I want to record a keyboard, it's either I plug it into Mic (L) and guitar (R) and use the dry signal, or I plug it in stereo input 2-3 and use the "mix" signal towards usb ? But in that case, will L be left and R be right ? :-) Thanks!

    Hello, thanks for this video, but I have a question : I am interested by this mixer for live-streaming, especially with a nintendo switch. What I would need is an audio feedback from the nintendo switch into my headphones, but without sending it to my computer, because the recording software already gets the nintendo switch audio and video signal by usb.
    Would this be possible ? I am new to the world of audio mixing and I don't know much about it, sorry if the question might sound dumb to you.
    Thanks :)

      Is the recording software running on the same PC the mixer would be connected to? If yes, is there a feature in the recording software to output this sound while it is recording (often called monitoring)? Because with the mixer set to "Input mix" or "dry ch 1,2" you can hear the sounds from the PC, but it won't be sent back to the PC, unless you set it to "Loopback".

      @@user-cj1jk9dc3e Considering I didn't know if it was possible I finally bought the lewitt connect 6 instead, and it does what I want.
      Yes the recording software is on the same pc where the mixer is connected. To make it short, I need to monitor the nintendo switch sound and my microphone, but only send the microphone sound to the recording software (if both are sent, the nintendo switch sound is recorded twice).
      Thanks for your answer still :)

    This is truly the best explanation for routing. You make it so easy and simple to understand. Thank you!!!
    I just have a question regarding the use of a smart phone.
    It appears that this doesn't work with Android phones. It states in the manual that the USB-C is only for iPhone/iPads? I have a Samsung S23Ultra that I use for regular phone calls for my podcast, and WhatsApp as well. What about the TRRS input?
    How could I get my callers to hear me speaking thru the microphone in channel 1 and playing music thru the mixer as well, if its not compatible with Android phone?
    I'm looking for a Podcast Mixer and wanted to get this, but if its not compatible with Android, it doesn't make sense to get it. Please help me to better understand.

    • @RecordingStudio9
      @RecordingStudio9  ปีที่แล้ว

      I never used my AG03 with any smartphone via the USB. TRRS input takes over the CH1 Mic, so it won't work as you planned.

    Hey man! Really good review actually. I'm planning to buy one of this, but I have a deal breaking question. Maybe you can help me with this.
    I have a pedal board for my guitar, that outputs in stereo. Which I can see from here, the stereo input CAN be plugged in the two inputs it has right next to the one you have your guitar plugged in now. Which is great.
    HOWEVER, I'd like to also be able to stream it out in a stereo from the interface to my PC. Right now you are sending the mono signal of the guitar to your PC. I'd like to send the stereo signal instead. I don't know if I'm clear.
    I see a little button right below the guitar input. Maybe that one is used to switch between the mono or the stereo singals, and also sends that from the interface to the PC.
    Sorry for the long text. Hope you the best!

    • @RecordingStudio9
      @RecordingStudio9  ปีที่แล้ว

      When using the Stereo Line Level inputs, the guitar input is no longer relevant. Set the Mode switch to MIX and this will send the main mix (Mic1 + Gtr2 + Stereo Line) to your PC. In your case, make sure nothing is plugged in to the Mic or Gtr inputs.

      @@RecordingStudio9 I don't think you understood his question.
      Let's say you have an effects processing unit like an Axe-Fx, a Quad Cortex or a Helix. It can output 2 totally separate signals if you set up two different speaker cabinets panned hard left and right.
      His question concerns that.
      He wants to know if he can plug in the two cables into the stereo line input and then capture that sort of stereo signal in the daw as a stereo signal that will not collapse into mono. Would he be able to record what he hears through his studio monitors? Would he be able to record two separate tracks and pan them as he sees fit?

    If I use this for "LIVE" VST playback with my guitar (Amplitube, Guitar Rig) - can I control the VST audio live playback volume to my monitors separately from the normal PC USB audio? Or will these both be combined into the same USB volume knob? I am afraid it will be one volume knob for the PC volume and live ASIO playback, since the audio interface is only 2 channel? I assume that using "Dry Ch 1-2" for this purpose, I will want to adjust Gain, but leave the volume faders on the mixer all the way down in this scenario. My use-case is to have the audio interface and mixer in one device. Also, thank you - this is the best explanation I have found, much better than anything Yamaha has available.

    • @RecordingStudio9
      @RecordingStudio9  ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct, there is only one stereo USB audio return.
      When using VST Amp-Sim, you have to consider latency. Also, correct to set DRY CH 1/2 and Mic and Guitar volumes down on the mixer, or press the Monitor Mute, which will mute CH 1/2, but the USB return audio will be heard.
      If not recording, set the sample rate 96Khz or above to reduce latency, even with buffer setting at 128 bytes.

    I have a question about mic and monitor headset. When you talking in the mic, is it your voice comeback to your monitor headset so you listen to yourself? If yes, can that voice comeback turning off by mute monitoring or lowering level in monitor headset ?
    With the case you plug your headset in monitor out.

    • @RecordingStudio9

      Monitor out is line level and won't drive headphone directly, you will need a headphone amp.

    In loopback mode, can you overdub mono tracks or only stereo?

    • @RecordingStudio9
      @RecordingStudio9  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Loopback is basically mixing all the inputs from the mixer with the audio being played back on the PC/DAW. If the mono signal from the PC/DAW is panned 100% left or right, then that's what's going to be looped back.

    hey I've been searching everywhere to find answers as to why my loopback doesn't pick up desktop sounds. apparently you could enable loopback in the YSUSB driver but it's not even an option for me. if you happen to still have the driver installed and can still enable loopback, I hope you can reply with your settings and version of the driver. thank you in advanced.

    • @RecordingStudio9
      @RecordingStudio9  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Loopback in AG03/06 is for audio coming to the mixer. If you have multiple audio source, ie. Media player, DAW, TH-cam or Windows Sounds, then this driver will not combine them.

    These videos are extremely helpful and informative, thank you! Quick question about the AG03: does this also act as a DAC? More specifically, if I have the USB switch set to either dry mix or input mix, do I still hear audio being played by my computer via the headphone monitor out? Put another way: if I have zero input devices connected, can I still listen to music, movies, games, etc. from the computer via the headphone monitor out with the USB switch set to dry mix or input mix (but not loopback mix)?
    I have a MOTU M2 interface at the moment, and it can act as a playback device, so I can use it as a DAC/AMP to drive my headphones even if I'm not recording anything. Is that possible with the AG03 as well (listen to computer audio + mixer inputs without loopback)? Thanks!

    • @RecordingStudio9
      @RecordingStudio9  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely, you can listen to any playback. The USB playback has its own volume knob.
      Loopback is simply routing the PC audio back to the PC mixed with any live input audio, so one can play music on the PC, add the live Mic or guitar etc, and record the complete audio on the PC.
