The most helpful review I’ve seen! I have watched many videos on audio mixers for my podcast but you’re the only one that has said to not fiddle with the compression and other knobs and instead do that in post processing. That alone was so helpful to me! I’ll prob stick w/my scarlet 212. Thanks!

I got an ag06 but for me as a solo singer, that ag03 is enough. But its not available in my area. So i Just bought the bigger 06 model. Amazingly small and very useful if you are a livestreamer

I have one Yamaha AG06 for several years and I am happy as I mentioned in another video.
What it could be interesting is that you explain hi how to do mix-minus mix with an external phone call with these small mixers.
    An additional question.
Wich is the the "Foot SW" jack connection for?

  • @mettana7448

What a great video. I wish they put those line input gain switches on the MG06 too. They have a ridiculously low clipping voltage, far lower than what the majority of line level devices peak at, making them useless for any source that doesn’t have it’s own volume control. I don’t need any of the USB features but I’m going to have to buy the AG06 instead of the MG06 just because of the lack of those gain switches.

Very informative! Got it that the pad does quite the opposite on the incoming signal. Though on the loopback mode---say, during a zoom session---will the mixer return the mixed signal to the USB so the participants will hear the input mic, while the output does a recording via a separate digital recorder (if one is available)? I assume that the USB port acts as a power source, as an input feed, and as an mixed output feed---all at the same time---is that right---same as a USB headphone/mic combo? Thanks!

Great Introduction and demo! Thank you. I'm curious though... For my application, can I connect the XLR L+R outputs from my DJ controller (Denon MC4000) into input lines 1 + 2? As well, if I could do that, could I connect extra mic's to the other inputs on the mixer? I'd like to retain XLR balanced signal from my controller to my speakers (and not TRS). TIA.

Hi Jordan, another amazing video, thank you, you rock!! Just a couple of quick questions if you have time: 1. If I wanted to plug my 1/8" wireless lav mic receiver into the AG06, would I simply use a 1/8" to XLR adapter and go into one of the XLR inputs? Also, if I was doing an in-person podcast with two other people, how would I connect a third mic to the mixer? If that's too complicated, is there another compact mixer you'd suggest instead? Thanks again, I appreciate your great work.

    • @hienvu1714
      @hienvu1714 2 ปีที่แล้ว

Regarding your lav mic, just plug it into the 1/8" Lav input. When you do this, your chan 1 now controls the Lav mic and not whatever else is plugged in ch 1.
The MG10XU would be a better choice if you need more than 2 mic inputs.

Thanks for the video! Question... with the loopback turned off, are you basically doing mix minus for audio coming into the mixer? So if I was doing a zoom and I had audio coming from the zoom call, as long as loopback is not on, I would control their volume with the computer knob and they wouldn't hear their voices, correct?

Thank you very much for this video. Is it possible to record the mic and the loopback to seperate tracks inside a software like Audition? In other words, does the device show multiple inputs in osx when Loopback is activated?
And are the comp/eq settings saved inside the mixer ie. does the software need to be running all the time?

No, when Loopback is on, you can only record the stereo mix. The only way to multi-track record is to use "Dry 1-2"

Great videos. You explain things brilliantly. I have a keyboard with a usb b connector (printer type). I'm not sure of which cable to use to go from that to the ago6. I was thinking usb b to double quarter inch leads and putting those into the place where you put your phone with the two jacks. You said red always goes right. Is possible send out only mic signal but monitorize the aux inputs? for example. I plug the stereo exit of my pc to CD in, so I can monitore the PC exit in my monitors and in headphones, and at the same time send only the CH1 mic to the PC.

Can you plug your phone into the aux jack and record it on one track while simultaneously playing guitar and recording it on another track? Thanks.

This is a great video for this mixer! Quick question, can I connect this interface to the new ipad that has usb-c? I have used this interface for livestreaming concerts on the computer, but I am thinking of switching to using an ipad instead of the computer. I also teach piano lessons with this interface with Skype. How can I set it up with the ipad to use over skype as well? Thank you very much!

You just need the right cable - USB-A end into the mixer and USB-C into your iPad. You would need to power the mixer separately when using any iPad.

I'm only interested in the Loopback mode. I need more info on that.

To make it clear, the monitor input for headphones can be used for higher impedance headphones (80 or 250ohm) in order to boost them and receive pc audio exclusively such as youtube videos or video game sounds? It's confusing me since some use it to monitor incoming vocals etc. and I want to use the mixer/audio interface for a dynamic microphone (discord calls etc.) and beyerdynamic headphones for mixing instrumentals in a daw and listening to music/game sounds in general.

Thanks for this helpful video. How can I avoid feedback when using the loopback function?

Headphones and make sure that whatever you’re sending it to on your computer (OBS) isn’t returning it to the mixer

@@kettnercreative Thx for replying so quick! I have a guitar plugged into channel 2. This goes to the AmpliTube app to add distortion. I then want to send the distoretd signal over the internet (back to the AG06). Maybe that is what You described to be not possible?
