After the success of the original GTA trilogy on PS2, developers were rushing to cash in on their own GTA likes. One would stand above the others by being attached to a classic movie, and acting a what if sequel to it. But does Scarface the World is Yours measure up?

I bought the Scarface game on the PSP, originally thinking it’ll be like the ps2 version haha but surpassing my expectations, I had a lot of fun with it once I learned it’s mechanics and tricks, if you win through the storyline you get movie scenes and there’s a challenge bracket too, you fight everyone in the game and every win earns you a Scarface wallpaper for the PSP

One of the coolest aspects I thought of about the game was the boat ride across the ocean to go get the big quantities of coke. When I was younger this was a mind boggling new mechanic for me. I could hop in a boat and head into the sea border and wind up in another country. I loved this aspect of the game. I hate their aren't more games that utilize this aspect. I really hope there is a proper remake/sequel to this game.

I played this more than GTA because I felt this was better this game had so much in it and was a competitor to gta in my opinion. The story gameplay missions city and Tony were just phenomenal I hate that this game almost got a second game but it never saw the light of day. This game gave me so many laughs back in the day, some of the NPC quotes are so random such as the dude who calls out "I got a BIG cigar for you to suck on my friend" and I loved spamming the "tourettes button" while driving. The conversations can be hilarious as well. Tony is just so needlessly confrontational with everyone. The little chat with the Canadian hockey fan springs to mind as well as the luchador by the cash point "super crispy fat and juicy!"

Since none of the GTAs were released on Wii, I had to find substitutes, and this was one of them along with The Godfather and Driver: Parallel Lines. Scarface was definitely my favorite out of the three. When I drove from each location I always had "Yellow Pills" by 20/20 playing on repeat. I eventually bought a PS3 when I was 13 and put the Wii in storage. It's now been 8 years since I've last played it. This video has me thinking about digging it back out. A remaster of this game and it’s planned sequel being released on modern day consoles and pc would be awesome and would definitely give a lot of attention as a competitor to gta! But so many of the cast and crew behind it would probably not be available since it’s been so long! Hell the cast whether it was main characters or 5 minute side characters were all big name actors, so doubtful they’d all return, and I know you’re not a huge fan of the soundtrack but I thought it was good but the likelihood of getting that soundtrack back would be tough now. But the two main things that would probably be impossible would be getting the copyrights to the title and any characters from paramount wouldn’t happen or would cost a lot, plus it was amazing that Pacino gave his likeness and was supposedly hands on with the development like helping develop the character and so on

Vice city is nostalgic but scarface is just good lol

The mechanics introduced in this game were ahead of their time. The ability of calling your driver to bring your cars, you having to launder and deposit your money or risk losing it, being able to play as multiple characters (Tony, his driver, his enforcer and his assassin) they were adapted years later by other games like GTA Online

Great game, loved it. Gta Vice City Stories seemed like it took some inspiration from it.
As for the dialouge, I always found it extremely stiff in cutscenes.
But on the overworld, where you can speak to pretty much everyone with some unique dialouge, I recall those enjoyable.
"Hey baby, you want some ice-cream? "

first seen the movie at 8-9 lol my brother and his friend just told me shut up and pay attention lmao , so nostalgic watching this. Game made two wishes come true , i was in the scarface universe and everyone has wanted to help a character or have control of how a movie end in general and this game did that and so much more

I just started replaying it on PC with the Remaster Mod and....it's gorgeous, absolutely beautiful AND most importantly? It's PLAYABLE ON PC FINALLY.
I recommend that mod and Fusion Fix so you can use a controller. I'm seriously impressed with how well this game aged, probably because it's FUN, and people miss FUN games that don't milk your wallet.
