One thing none of these videos ever talk about is the sign up process! Do I need to be a registered LLC or Sole Proprietorship to own one of these devices? If I bought a vending machine that has this device on it, do I need to gather anything from the previous owner? Everyone jumps into how to screw in the thing onto the machine, but if I don't know how to setup the software and have the money go into my account, what's the point?!?!
You just need a bank account to get one of these devices. The company will link it to your account and deposit your money automatically every week. You don't need to be a registered LLC. If you buy a used reader, you will need to have the previous owner transfer the registered reader to you. As far as the software, that will vary depending on what company you go with and how much analytics you subscribe to.
I’ll probably invest in a card reader soon. Someone drilled holes for a reader on the plexiglass high up on the machine, but I’ll probably buy a VPOS with bill validator to replace my main validator, which I also think is better because my current one only accepts $1 bills. Btw, if your old readers run on 3G, then that’s why they all stopped working because they’re taking 3G offline; now you’ll need 4G.
Yeah...that's why i don't mount onto the plexiglass because I don't want holes in it if I remove the reader. My old readers were 4g...so that wasn't the problem.

CC will always increase sales...but by how much is dependent on the location. CC readers did very little to increase sales on the machines in the faculty room of this high school.
The previous owner needs to send a letter to the CC reader company authorizing the transfer to you. Then you can set up an account with the CC reader company and the money will be electronically transfered to your bank account.
So, I have 2 of my Royal Marlins with VPOS touches that work fine for all types of sales, but do not show my cash vends in my dashboard. Does that more than likely mean the computer board doesn't support it.
I had to have the eprom updated on my Merlin IV board to get it to report cash sales. At that time, Coinco updated the board for me since they manufactured them for royal. Not sure if Coinco still does that, but you can try contacting them.
So my card reader is up and working, well kinda it will recognize the card, but will not charge the card and still dispenses the item. Can explain a possible problem
They would need to fill out a paper from the CC reader company transferring ownership to you. Then the CC company would put the reader into your account...if you have one set up with the CC company. If not, you would have to create one.
You would have to have the previous owner contact the cc reader company and transfer it to your name. If you don't know the previous owner, it's just usable for parts.

Do I have to have the previous owner transfer the data to me? What if I install Nayax system completely new but I still have the cantaloupe old one on the machines. It’s a 3g signal So it’s no good but the last owner is still taking time to transfer the data to me
Yes, you would need to have the previous owner contact Nayax in writing to transfer over any devices to you. If the machine has cantaloupe equipment on it, you would need to remove that first. If the previous owner is dragging their feet transferring the equipment to you, there is nothing you can do but to keep calling them to make the transfer.
I don't think they went bad, I heard companies were shutting off certain features if they weren't able to accept the chip cards. Some kind of regulation here in the USA
I have a machine that dispenses only one product and I have to use mdb level 3.. But I'm not able to configure the reader to accept payment from the machine I don't know what all settings are required on my nayax... their customer support is so pathetic. I have not found a single video that shows the configuration of reader... Could you suggest how nayax is configured when payment is asked by the machine like at MDB L3
Is there a website or app that you can see earnings reports? Is there any machine that can alert me if I need to restock or repair? Or any app or website can help me? I don’t want to go there to check , I want to see by phone.
Yes...if you pay for the full inventory reports you can see all your sales data on your phone...and you can do all types of reports. You usually need to pay a few extra dollars per machine per month for the full inventory reports.
You need to have the previous owner of the card reader contact the CC reader company and complete the form to transfer ownership. if that's not done, you can't put the reader in your name. This is done to prevent theft.
Do you have any suggestions for a card either that isn’t getting good cell signal? I have an RSSI on my Nayax of 99. They have sent me new sim cards and nothing is working. I’m at a loss, please help
Can you please tell me which of the two currently has better support when you need to call in for something? That’s a big factor for me even if I have to pay more. Thanks
I only have Nayax...so I can speak for Cantaloupe. But from what I've heard online, it's probably pretty equal for customer support right now between the companies.

Hi, the 6% the credit card company charges per transaction, are they charging me or the customer? For example, I have a soda for sale for $1.25 and cash is that price. But if I have the card reader and someone pays with credit card will they deduct their 6% out of my $1.25 ? , leaving me $1.00 or $1.15? Etc?
They take the 6% out of the sale. So if the item costs 1 dollar, they take 6 cents and you get 94 cents. Because of this, many people set up 2-tier pricing in which you charge more for credit card sales. Watch this video: th-cam.com/video/wI7mWKz3wIQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=gB7zszDp2tNEGEYj

Is this a straight forward process or is the transfer a messy process usually? Its my first time. The person seems trust worthy. I went to their warehouse and looked at other machines too, so they are legit. Also, while we start the transfer process, I plan to put the machine on site and start setting it up. If the transfer does take 10 days as mentioned. Do i put a note to only use cash and not card reader for 10 days and onces its transfers, then remove that sign from my vending machine?
@@meetbhuller6324 Make sure the reader your buying is 4g so that you're not getting outdated technology. @@outstandingent95 The first step to setting up a product map is adding all the products that you plan to vend into your Nayax account. I had to have the eprom updated on my Merlin IV board to get it to report cash sales. At that time, Coinco updated the board for me since they manufactured them for royal. Not sure if Coinco still does that, but you can try contacting them.
This was very helpful!

So my card reader is up and working, well kinda it will recognize the card, but will not charge the card and still dispenses the item. Can explain a possible problem
Are you sure it's not charging the card? Did you contact Nayax to get the reader online after you installed it? What machine is this on?
If you’re purchasing a machine from someone who has one installed. How would I make sure the money scanned goes to me not them.
They would need to fill out a paper from the CC reader company transferring ownership to you. Then the CC company would put the reader into your account...if you have one set up with the CC company. If not, you would have to create one.
I have a random credit card reader already on my machine. How do I activate the reader?
You would have to have the previous owner contact the cc reader company and transfer it to your name. If you don't know the previous owner, it's just usable for parts.
Great videos but one this never wear gloves around a drill press saw or lathe etc. If it catches your skin chances are you get a cut if it grabs the glove you could loose a finger or hand etc.

Hello!! Thank you for the information. I have a question: How is the process of changing a card reader that belonged to someone else in my name?
Thanks again🙏🏻
The previous owner of the reader has to send a letter to the reader company authorizing the transfer.
Do I have to have the previous owner transfer the data to me? What if I install Nayax system completely new but I still have the cantaloupe old one on the machines. It’s a 3g signal
So it’s no good but the last owner is still taking time to transfer the data to me
Yes, you would need to have the previous owner contact Nayax in writing to transfer over any devices to you. If the machine has cantaloupe equipment on it, you would need to remove that first. If the previous owner is dragging their feet transferring the equipment to you, there is nothing you can do but to keep calling them to make the transfer.
thank you so much for shareing was really informative,.
I don't think they went bad, I heard companies were shutting off certain features if they weren't able to accept the chip cards. Some kind of regulation here in the USA
Those AMITS did accept chip cards.
Hello. How would I set up a payment method to the bank through the card reader?
You give Nayax your bank information while you're setting up your account.
What machine are you using? How old is it?
I bought a orange juice wending machine from China it's fairly new
@@tarvinder91 That sounds like a lot of work.
I prefer NAYAX! after dealing with Cantaloupe for two years, NAYAX are much better in my opinion.
Great video, lot's of info.
how do i go about linking my account too card reader if im buying used machine with reader pre installed?
You need to have the previous owner of the card reader contact the CC reader company and complete the form to transfer ownership. if that's not done, you can't put the reader in your name. This is done to prevent theft.
Do you have any suggestions for a card either that isn’t getting good cell signal? I have an RSSI on my Nayax of 99. They have sent me new sim cards and nothing is working. I’m at a loss, please help
Is the antenna mounted outside the machine? Did you ask Nayax if they offer a high-gain antenna for the vpos touch?
With the nayax inventory management, is that a free feature?
For the full management suite, you pay more per month per machine?
Can you please tell me which of the two currently has better support when you need to call in for something? That’s a big factor for me even if I have to pay more. Thanks
I only have Nayax...so I can speak for Cantaloupe. But from what I've heard online, it's probably pretty equal for customer support right now between the companies.
@@HappyVending thank you. So you can still call and talk to someone? Or is it one of those where you call and don’t hear back for days or you have to keep calling?
@@converse67 I usually send an email which starts a service ticket....then someone calls me back. I have managed to get all my issues resolved, but Nayax is really growing and it can take longer to get help than it did a few years ago.

@@HappyVending Hi brother, I am finally getting ready to get my first card reader. I had a question. I am buying a vending machine from a person that has 55 + vending machines running. So they mentioned they would sell me the card reader and transfer the ownership. And they mentioned it takes about 10 days and cost for transfer is around $30.
Once they contact the reader company and transfer the reader to you, it's pretty straight forward. You might want to contact the reader company first and create an account so that they have something to transfer the reader to. And yes, you can put a sign on the machine that just says "cash only" until you get the reader up and running.
Can you convert a single price vending machine to take credit cards?
Not really.
Any updates (good or bad) since the installation?
Both of them are still working great...fingers crossed.
How did you negotiate access to the shop room!?!
I am a teacher in the school so that makes all the difference.
Is Nayax compatible with other processors than theirs?
It's compatible with most MDB machines.
super nice info, thanks!
What if you get a machine with a reader already installed?
You need to have the previous owner of the CC reader to write a letter to Nayax transferring ownership to you.
The readers were running on 3G I am assuming. 3G was shut off around the time you are talking about your readers going bad. I think that was the cause.
My Amits were all g4....they just went bad. Nayax couldn't get them back online.

Hello sir.I have an AP 123 with nayax vpos touch reader.Im trying to figure out how to set up my Mdb and product map before stocking my machine. Is it true that I have to make each coil vend in order to a MDB number? If so how do I turn my machine off vending mode in order to do that?
I do not have readers on my 123 snack machines...but I would think you would only have to create a product map for the machine assigning each coil a product. I've done it on my soda machines and it was pretty straight forward. The 123 is a MDB machine so I would think each coil is already assigned a number. What is the machine doing or not doing?
@@HappyVending the machine works very well.I was just confused as to how to actually set up my product map. However,Nayax sells a card that is used to run test vending on each coil. From there I should be able to get my MDB codes.and set my pars..Does that sound about right?
@@outstandingent95 The first step to setting up a product map is adding all the products that you plan to vend into your Nayax account. Then when you go into the machine's Product Map, there should be a selection number for each coil in the machine. I would think they would be in numeric order just like on the machine. 1=110, 2=112, etc. Just assign each number to one of the products you added to the machine. You can try the test vend card and see what happens.
@@HappyVending Wow so let make sure I understand you clearly sir.My machine already has its own product map?I need only go to my machine itself and get the number for each coil(MDB) and add them to my nayax account? If so where would I find my machines product map?
@@outstandingent95 Did you watch this part of the video: th-cam.com/video/8AAjNrMf1nQ/w-d-xo.html
I am assuming you signed up for inventory options with Nayax? Are you using the computer interface or trying to use your phone? I look at my product maps through the computer inventory. You click on one of your machines, then click on the "Product Map" You should see numbers representing however many selections you have in the machine. Once you add products into the software, you can pull down a dropdown menu and select a product for each selection. That is how it worked when I added my soda machines, but like I said, I don't have a card reader on my snack machines yet.
how do you get the machines to not vend during that times?
I use the machine's internal timers to block selections during set times. This video shows how I set it up on my Merlin IV...which is similar to the process on the Giiis. Dixie 501s also have timers. th-cam.com/video/CsK_ZSN8F-Y/w-d-xo.html

Do you need credit to use these credit readers and softwares?

Do you pay the process fee or does the customer pay it?
You pay the processing fee...unless you turn on two-tier pricing...then you can charge a little extra when someone pays by credit....but I don't like doing that.
@@HappyVending can that be changed?
@@NHAEMT30 two tier pricing can be changed by the operator. Usually vendors add 10 cents.for credit sales...but you should post the credit prices on the machine and say there is a 10 cents discount if you pay by cash.
@@HappyVending sorry for all the questions. Do you have a video about two-teir?
@@NHAEMT30 No I don't because I don't use it. Basically, you can turn it on in your credit card interface and determine how much more your customer would pay if they used a credit card. Must vendors charge an additional 10 cents, or you can set it to add a percentage to the sale price....like 10 percent.
