    I bought a route, 11 locations 15 machines owned by Coca Cola ( free service and repair! ) only 2 CC readers, then I found a deal of 4 Wittern futura machines for $250 each !! Growing fast and just added CC readers to all my machines. And also adding snack machines to most of my locations.

    i did vending from 2003 to 2012 some of what you say is true how ever they didnt have card readers then that i know of ,i moved all my machines even the ones from the bottlers
    the reason i got out was couldnt compete with the bigger companys canteen mainly and the economy kept going up and down prices on products keep going up as well

      Too be fair card readers weren’t as popular back then and didn’t really start being a thing until the last few years that you were in it.

      These days Canteen is getting kicked out…I have a few locations that have left Canteen for me. Canteen is big, but a lot of their employees are not happy…service suffers as a result. No one is gonna service your machines better than you!

      Can you elaborate on what this means? To someone still learning about the industry (or at least to me lol) "MDB" & "exec" don't mean anything clear without more context. I'd love to learn from your tip if you're down to clarify!

    I would definitely agree that "passive" is not a good term to describe vending. A lot of manual labor involved. I own a route, and the best part is the flexibility. I never have to ask for a day off. I also agree to not take on small locations like barber shops or small car care centers, even as a new vendor. These locations are easy to get for a reason, they are not profitable. Good info here!

      Man, i found out the hard way. I have a couple dealerships on my route, in a small town. But i find the moment those guys slow down with their work, the more they start picking on us. When they’re bored, they try and find things to complain about. I just had one owner basically bs his way out of our machine.

    • @chrisseverin6370
      @chrisseverin6370 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yea, it seems like most businesses use a dedicated coffee vendor..one that specializes in coffee, and they have a separate vendor for snacks and drinks. Speaking to some people who have been in the vending game for several years, I have been told that coffee machines are expensive and have more maintenance issues than snack or drink machines. Things like hose leaks, etc.

    I have a question. (if your able to answer that would be great but if not thats ok as I'm being kinda aggressive on finding the answer and will hopefully find it)
    do you have to have a license for 1 toy vending machine and a location to sell small toys in said vending muchine. I'm planning to do it by myself, I look, watched and studied a little on how to fix it, noone else will be working on it.
    I just wanted to test the waters and see if its something I want to do for an actual business.

    • @sydneyaf1117
      @sydneyaf1117 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you are operating any type of service you should definitely decide on the most appropriate business structure for yourself. Many people select a limited liability company LLC. The importance of this is to protect yourself, as the owner, from being sued and potentially losing your personal assets, savings, house etc. With an LLC, your company is an independent entity. In the state of New Jersey it only costs $125 to apply for an LLC. You should also consider a general liability insurance policy. They range from $25 to $100 per month. Should a machine fall over and injure someone you will need protection.

    • @ItsAsparageese
      @ItsAsparageese ปีที่แล้ว

      That depends entirely on your state & county laws. Most do regulate vending businesses, & issue licenses as a means of supervising compliance with things like having liability insurance in case someone gets hurt using your machine, that you're not selling moldy food, et cetera. So yep, you will need a license in most places.
