8:24 almost melted that latch. Think this is a good example for everyone to try and solder the other way around or simply avoid having your iron near those locking latch for the ribbon cable as not everyone would be equipped to handle those repair if they ever melt the whole thing.
Pop a piece of that kapten (?) tape right on that latch to be safe, especially for the thicker iron tips. Thats if you have to solder in that direction (right-handed?)
If your phone has decent zoom You can just use your phone as a microscope with a good positioned tripod on top and screen mirroring it to a pc monitor, used this method to mod 3 switches by now, it ain't perfect, but it works

these models are basically the DS lites of the hacked switch scene. like i legit can find them jailbroken on Facebook for cheap preloaded with games. it's by far the cheapest way to just play switch games for nothing. the other models still can be found even the V2s but these by far are the easiest. in a few years this effect will be even crazier

The 360 is easy compared to this. Even so, if you mess up the SP1 and SP2 points, it's not that hard to install new caps if you have a hot air station. I've bought so many failed install attempt Switch Lites and brought them back to life.
Sp1 and sp2 were easy the real problem was fking point B first time i did the modding i fked up at the b point and had to buy an entire new switch cause of it even then second time point B soldering was off cause it wouldn't boot to the mod screen. I fking hate point B

there is 2 types of picofly for 3ds lite depends of flexo the pcb can be installed in the left side of gpu or in the right gpu (model 2 maybe) bot greats anyway but de v1 flexo (left side installation) need to blend the flexo to the other side for the 3v

Luckily the grey handle part is just a snap in replacement if he wanted to fix that. The black part is what you DONT want to burn.

How hot should the iron be for a job like this ?
I believe 350-380 degrees
340-350 is enough, if you go too hot you can fuck up the soldering points on the flex cable or on your PCB.

What products do you use? Flux and solder tin especially?
u can use any flux. I like to use Sn63 & Pb37 solder. Very easy to handle but me sure u do it safe the lead in it is nit safe to inhale.

the usb c on the pico is to flash it with firmware nothing else =)
most come with its own firmware but if it dont you can flash the pico before installing it !
