call me crazy but i believe Sony outsold all the other minis by like 4x combined. the other minis were produced in limited numbers whereas the psc was mass produced and were readily available and affordable. you can still obtain a brand new one for under MSRB 5 years later. Them other minis you would have to spend over $200 or more to get one. The PSC also has more support and you see people still playing it while the other minis are dead. I'll take the Stock PSC library over the turbografx 16 mini anyday and i own both if you're interested in more homebrew mods, i got some ports on my channel such as perfect dark, sm64, sonic mania, gta3, gtavc, mugen, zelda soh, rpg maker xp/vx/ace and more
I love my ps classic. It was my first experience with many old ps1 games. My modded one doesn't see much use since I usually use my ps3 for ps1 games but its still great imo
It wasn' t that far out of sync with the other mini consoles. It also wasn't far from the price either. Also the games were bigger. I mean look at objectively. Let's say you got a NES classic for $75 and a PS Classic for $99. Your NES Classic had "Balloon Fight" on it. Your PS Classic had Resident Evil on it. Which one has more gaming per dollar? Now when it wasn't selling well I picked up some at $30 and even I think $20 price point.
@@michaelbuddy yeah the classics were ALL just cash grabs it wasnt quite time for the mid generation refresh so nintendo pumped out a couple minis and sony followed suit the nintendo fans proclaim there console had the best games but there nintendo fans they think everything nintendo did was great Reality both nintendo classic and sony classic both had ok games with a bunch of shovalware titles shoved in to pad the roster both also missed out on a oportunity to make some long term cash as both sony and nintendo have virtual console systems sony via the ps1 pops games they released for psp and other systems and nintendo via virtual console with the inclusion of a 5 dollar wifi chip they could have used theese consoles to let people purchase new games for there systems turning it into a retro powerhouse and generating some consistant income for them but they didnt nintendo in particular didnt do it because there happy with being able to make people re-purchase there vc games every single time they release a new console
If Sony can't license them, who the hell can? Probably they needed games ASAP for the fad of mini consoles and that's why we had such a lackluster selection.
@@rastas_4221 theres a suprising number of games stuck in limbo that could never be released too take conkers bad fur day thats basically never getting a re-release ms own rare who partially own conker but nintendo own the rights to that game so unless ms can convince nintendo to let them have the rights that games never getting a re release

You remastered Bloodborne?
I guess it could have been a success if it the PlayStation classic had more games at launch but it's probally due to licensing issues
