✍Hello Tim and Melissa...Talk about teaching an old dog new tricks...I'm 78 and cooking since I was 9years old and till now lined pans or casseroles the hard way...so thank you for the helpful Tip. They also make chocolate graham crackers and I'd probably use them but the graham crackers probably makes your candy taste like a Heath Bar or Butter Brickle...yum I've seen this recipe made before but truthfully yours has been the easiest and probably the tastiest. I'm really enjoying your 12 days of Christmas goodies🎄 God Bless LuvYa! Bye from your digital pen pal from Ohio
You can tell that was a teacher. The way he describes things and how to do it. You can tell he was a wonderful teacher. I’d would have loved to have him as a teacher and now I listen to how to do his recipes and it’s so wonderful. Thank you again Tom and Melissa . Thank you again and I hope the holidays treat you great.
I love the 12 days of Christmas!! I look forward to seeing your daily vlogs. Thank you for sharing some of your favorite holiday recipes with us. Wish you and your family to have a blessed Christmas 🎄
My sister had this recipe over 40 years ago. To my knowledge nobody else had the recipe. People constantly asked her for it. She never gave it to anybody. Her recipe used the saltine crackers. The first time I ever saw a recipe close to hers was in 2007 and a co-worker of mine had it. She did not know where she got the recipe. She used the graham crackers. Now I hear that it is called Christmas crack. It is called that because of how addictive it is.
We LOVE THIS!!!! My husband and I love "Come Sit at My Table" !! The idea for 12 days of Christmas is Brilliant, and I can't wait to see more! Merry Christmas from B.C. Canada! 🎄🎄🎅🤶🎀🎁🕯
Hi y’all !… This is a great recipe that most people will find easy to make..It’s almost addictive … Graham crackers are a nice lil snack and all this goodness takes them over the top.. I’m looking forward to the next recipe..Yall have a great night and don’t forget to “ Put A Lid On It “…
I have made this for years, but use brown sugar and add a tsp of vanilla. They are indeed addictive. My kids called them cracker crack ! lol Sometimes we added pecan or walnut pieces on the chocolate while it was still soft. You can be creative and add whatever toppings you like.
Same here I just made a couple of batches 2 days ago. I make Christmas gifts with them among an assortment of chocolates I make. Put them in a Christmas Tin
I am a new subscriber and appreciate the simple, clear instructions on your recipes. I am binge watching a bunch of them. I have to tell you that I am 73 years old and have never seen the aluminum foil shaping trick and think that was GENIUS! I will be using that hint from now on. Thank you!
Thanks for giving us 12 days of recipes and memories to make with our loved ones. God bless you, ❤ Merry Christmas 🎄 and here's to more great recipes in the Happy New Year! 🎉 🥂
I've never heard of this but am sure going to use this tip. I've been cooking over 60 years and can't believe I've never heard of this! PS This candy looks delicious!
What a wonderful title” come sit at my table” So inviting! The loving relationship between the two of you is palpable and to covet over. I use many of your recipes and enjoyed them. While we are enjoying the festivities of Christmas may we never forget that the most important reason we celebrate the day is The birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who came to die so we all can live, eternally and not perish. What a wonderful reason to celebrate.Blessed be His Holy Name!
Oh my goodness, another wonderful treat! Between this and the Turtle recipe I am going to gain some pounds! LOL Thank ya'll so much for this wonderful 12 Days of Christmas series, look forward to it so much. Great ideas for treats to make and share with family.
Tom and Melissa, what you are doing is nothing shorter than fun. 12 days of Christmas treats. I am 69 years old and my husband and I are empty nester and retired. I find myself looking everyday for your video. So far, I am three for three. I have in the past made all you have done so far, and they really are a great way to fill a Christmas treat platter. So anyone looking for easy, wonderful treats, these are great. Just follow Tom's instructions. Thank you both for these videos. Melissa, you will love these cinnamon and toffee treats. I feel that I have made two new friends in the both of you.
By the time the 12th day gets here, I'm going to be 7 pounds heavier! I have this recipe, except it calls for 1 tsp of vanilla and uses chocolate chips. This is a very addictive candy.
Oh my goodness gracious another of my favs toffee and chocolate. Really can’t wait to make this. I’m calling Walmart delivery and getting the ingredients to make right now. Happy Holidays 🤩🎄❤️
I've made a similar recipe usi g chocolate chips but I also added a few espresso chips to pump up the flavor. Yummy! I can't wait to try this recipe with my espresso chips too.
Love this series! I came across your channel looking for a cinnamon loaf and have enjoyed your recipes since. Looking forward to all the Christmas goodies!
i am enjoying your 12 days of cooking. i love the way you explain what to do. i have learned so many great tips from you. Malissa does a great job with camera.
I do something similar to this but I call it cracker bark and use saltines , Premiums are the best, and I use a small cookie sheet, line it with the saltines , pour the mixture, bake it for about 5 minutes ( my mixture isn’t as dark when I take it off the stove but close , and the put semi sweet chips on it , put it back in the oven for a few minutes until the chips are shiny, then spread it and refrigerate it , sooooo good! Cant wait to try your version! Thank you for making this video!
This series is such a great idea and fun. I am planning on making the peanut butter balls and turtles so far. To give as gifts. I love baking treats as gifts. I am also doing pumpkin truffles and my lemon iced cookies.
We make ours with saltines (placed top side down to get that hit of salt on the tongue!), brown sugar, vanilla, and semisweet chocolate. Garden & Gun’s Spiced Dark Chocolate Cherry Saltine Toffee recipe is the best we’ve ever tried though. To die for and perfect for the holidays!
We live in New Mexico but our son is a sportscaster for WKYT IN Lexington so I noticed the shirt first thing! He buys UK “gear” for his nieces and nephew here in NM. After church today we were having lunch and he was texting my daughter asking if the kids want UK shirts or hats for Christmas.
I just made this candy last night. We used pretzel crisps with chocolate almond bark. It was wonderful. We grew up calling it Christmas crack because it's so addictive
My store (Krogers) sells chocolate graham crackers, I'll have to try that out. And a little more chocolate on top. Oh, and some finely chopped pecans or walnuts sprinkled on top. Just the way it is looks delicious also.
I'm loving your 12 days of Christmas treats! For our family Christmas I'm supposed to bring some desserts so these ideas are perfect!😋 The hardest part will be to choose! Thank you Tom and Melissa for sharing! ❤ from 🇨🇦
Thanks Tom and Melissa, my doctor suggested I stop watching your channel. Do you have any suggestions where I can find another doctor?😇 That dish is beautiful and I bet it would be good if I could eat real chocolate. I get migraine headaches and a little grumpy when I eat chocolate. So I have to be very careful around desserts. Keep up the good recipes and videos, you folks are great. Fred.
I just recently discovered your channel and I wanted to thank you and Melissa for the videos that you post. I had knee replacement surgery in September and I was cooped up in the house for quite a few weeks. Since I found your channel, I have watched many of the videos and tried a few of them. Every year at Christmas I make about 100 dozen cookies and candies to give to family and I am going to add the Cracker Toffee Candy to the list this season. Again, thanks for what you do. You definitely helped to pass the time during my recovery. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I’ve seen some cooks put a lid on their pot to help melt any sugar that may have collected on the sides of the pot. This has got to be delicious… Thank you both. 🙏🏻
I made this recipe tonight. It’s a very simple recipe. It took twenty minutes for the toffee to turn any shade darker than it started. My chocolate is on and I’m waiting for the dish to cool before I refrigerate it to set. Fingers crossed!
I'm thinking by now you've finished this candy! We hope you have liked it as much as we have. And we really appreciate that it's so easy to put together. Have a very Merry Christmas!
She always says no to the first bite. Today she says yes and he quickly gave it to her. That's love and respect!❤
I do want to be at your table!
Thank you so much for sharing. Bless you, your wife, and family.
Real butter. Is the best, thank you for sharing your recipe!

My friend made this for work with the saltines. It was so good. We call it Christmas Crack because its addictive lol.
First time I have seen this done in a 9×13. They always called for a sheet pan. I like this one in a smaller pan
You can tell that was a teacher. The way he describes things and how to do it. You can tell he was a wonderful teacher. @@rhonavoss8531 I'm wondering, can I make the toffee in a Teflon pot?
@@NessyNess182 I don’t see any reason you couldn’t…I usually do mine in an iron skillet…But I don’t think it matters what kind of pot you use..

I will be back for sure. Thanks for the invite. I appreciate you guys
I've seen this done with saltines instead of Graham crackers. I'd love to compare them! Thank you both!
Yes, we prefer the Saltines. 🙂
The salt goes so good.
In addition to the saltines we’ve used semi sweet chocolate morsels. Soooo yummy !
Thanks for thinking about us “beginners”…we do exist!

Real butter is better for you than margarine.
Yes ma'am it sure is 👍💕
Really, I've grown up on blue bonnet, so that's what I've always used. What is wrong with it maybe i need to change to butter.
I don't really but the doctor told my mom that butter was better for you and she's 97 years old now.@@wandamyers2690
