This 25 Minute NSDR (Non Sleep Deep Rest) is a Yoga Nidra style Meditation. You can think of this Yoga Nidra is like a little reset for your mind. This guided yoga nidra includes gentle binaural beats and soft piano to further soothe the nervous system and create brainwave entrainment for deep relaxation. This type of meditation also aids deep relaxation, non sleep deep rest, and for those who need it, sleep.
Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation that uses a systematic method of inducing complete physical, mental and emotional relaxation. This yogic sleep technique calms the nervous system and activate the parasympathetic (relaxation, rest & digest) response which is so needed in these current times.
This 25 Minute NSDR (Non Sleep Deep Rest) is a Yoga Nidra style Meditation. This non sleep deep rest is guided by Ally Boothroyd of Sarovara Yoga. Yog Nidra provides relaxation and promotes delta waves, an activity in the brain present in deep sleep. If you need deep rest and stress relief, yoga nidra meditation, a guided relaxation technique is for you.
In this yoga nidra guided meditation to relax you will be guided through a body scan to calm the nervous system, It’s a 25 minute yoga nidra guided relaxation to reboot your whole nervous system. I am fairly new to Yoga Nidra. I heard of it on the Huberman lab podcast and found your channel on TH-cam. I am blown away, immensely grateful and curious about how it will benefit me in the future. You have such a pleasant voice and truly honest intention. That can’t be imitated or produced, I believe it must be felt to be able to convey it. It is a very private space inside when you meditate. And you feel like a close, trusted friend. Every time I do one of your yoga nidras I always feel so grateful to you for producing these and providing them free of charge. Been meditating every morning and night for the last week or so. This stuff slaps. Even if it’s just ten minutes - it makes a big difference in your day.

Bless you, dear Ally. My intention, with long covid pain/dysfunction, is to feel much better than I currently am.
Woke up too early this morning after not a restful or long enough sleep. My mind started racing and anxieties rose sharply as I tried to find that last hour of sleep. When a half hour passed like this I remembered your meditations which I have enjoyed before. A mental and neurological reset was just what I needed. I got that last half hour of deep rest without having to be fully asleep again. Your yoga nidra is subtly different than others I’ve practiced with because of the intention of “reset “ which is very precise and accurate for what my state of mind is (anxiety, overthinking, negativity about my life) when I wake up each morning. Thank you again.

It’s so strange to wake up in a panic. You’d think we’d be most relaxed upon waking. In the last 18 months I lost my husband, mom and dad…I started waking with anxiety. All I can do is get out of bed…trying to stay in bed just amplifies the situation 🙁
Hi Ally, you meditation video are fantastic. I first heard about Yoga Nidra from the Huberman podcast. I have been practicing for 2 months and it has been an amazing experience. I work night shifts and have 4 kids so being able to sleep for a few hours and then "top it off" with one of your meditations has allowed me to wake up rested and with more time to spend with my family. Thank you for all the work you put into your videos.

My intention: I am healthy in all layers of my being (body, spirit, emotional, mind/intellect, social, & even financial) and I am able to transfer this to my sweet son (who is 8 months old today ♥️). I have had a diagnosed condition called CRPS. Which just means chronic pain and bearable pain for four years that I found you on TH-cam a few weeks ago now I’ve been sick with some kind of horrible virus for over a week. Thank you thank you for this reset. I feel that the pain is so much better. I am healing quickly.

Thank you for yet another of your heart felt deeply relaxing yoga Nidra practises🙏🏽 I often do your meditations here. My yoga teacher also does a 30 minute guided yoga Nidra practise after the yoga class. The class is full! This is at a Nuffield health club. People obviously need this relaxation in their lives.
I first practised yoga Nidra in 2009 I was working in a health centre spa and the yoga teacher who was from India introduced it to me. He was actually offering yoga Nidra classes and calling it Pyschic sleep. These practises have been in Indian traditions for many years. I am grateful we can experience these in the west❤️ thank you Ally you are truly gifted 🙏🏽

I found this meditation to be so comforting. I was able to be so deep within my consciousness and my body, connecting with my nervous system so deeply. Hi Ally I'm Xavienne. using my husband's account. I sat with your Yoga Nidra last night. I have been hoping to find a good yoga nidra since the 1990's when I became a yoga therapist. I love how I feel afterwards. Last night I experienced something I never felt before. I went for a pee after your session. After walking a few steps something in my brain went through some changes. I actually felt and saw an eternity symbol in my head. It was quite fast and a bit blurry. It felt like the left side of my brain changed something from the right side of the brain. Very unusual . I'm going to try your heart chakra and insomnia tonight. Thank you darling for this delightful experience. I'm looking forward to more changes from your beautiful voice and delightful talent. I couldn't believe how I feel when I listen to these videos. My body begins to loosen up and somehow my breathing pattern shifts like I'm taking in more oxygen. It's almost as if my body is being stretched but I'm just sitting here still. Amazing!
