    I bought the blower motor on Amazon for $30. No mechanic experience, just a TH-cam video, 8mm socket and a screwdriver. Took me like 30 min cuz it’s tight in there but I did it.👌🏻

    Thank you for making this video! I just replaced my blower motor. I was going to take it to a mechanic but decided to watch a video first before deciding.... I'm glad I did. You motivated me to do it myself and now my fan works again and I didn't have to spend a bunch of money on the mechanic!!! Thank you!

    This fixed my issue of low air flow to my vents! Thank you!! This was easy to follow. There turned out to be a napkin stuck in my blower motor. ??? I have a cabin air filter in place, so I have no idea how this got through, unless the person who replaced mine last time at the quickie lube used one too small? It does seem to have a lot of play. Anyhow, I'm replacing that, too, and I'm all set!

    My 2016 Toyota Corolla's fan has a high pitched squeal while running and sounds like a jet engine shutting down when I either turn the car off or manually shutoff the fan motor.

    I have a 2012 corolla o have to put the fan speed on 4 since the other speed are really low. I also had the car temp go up along with the ac started blowing hot air when stopped but starts blowing cold air when driving

    RB, I have a 2016 Corolla S. I went to change out the resistor but it didn't have the 4 prong. Is there such a thing as a blower motor with the resistor inside it. When I took the 2 screws out it should have dropped out but it looked like it was still inside. I didn't want to push my luck so I put it back together until I knew what I was dealing with. Thanks

    My daughter just called and said her car was acting up so I told her we’d look at the fan and resistor. I had a Honda Element that had the same problem and all I did was clean and lubricate, no replacement required.
    Love to know how much a dealer charges for that ten minute job

    Hello RB, TOT Corolla 2011 Fan isn't working (stopped working 2/3 days ago) is not blowing neither cold/hot air at all. Planning to replace the blower motor, but want to know how to test/replace a Fuse if need it (maybe be the case), Thanks

      Check fuse and swap relay before that put the key on put the blower motor on high speed and then use test light see if the connector on blower had power and ground

    So mine rattles like crazy when I’m in the first 3 settings then when I’m in the 4th it works without rattle but the ac goes in and out. When I accelerate I can hear the fan kicking in but when I’m stopped the fans loose power still on and blowing cold air how can I tell if it’s my resister or my blower.

    • @RBTheMechanic

      Resistor goes and turns off the motor check ur alternator voltage usually when I’m driving and come to slow or stop the rpm drops and the voltages drops due to slow of rotation of alternator

    Hi! How are you? Your video is super cool, I have a 2011 toyota corolla, I see that the second speed of the Electro-fan does not start, could it be the cause that the electro-fan module is bad? or how can I get the cause of the problem specifically, thank you very much

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Check to see if it got resistor separate from control moduel other wise it’s part of the unit but that’s what it most likely is

  • @victorsalazar787

    Hey man, I got this car 7 months ago and ac was working perfectly cold and a lot of air but with time the air was starting to blow less even at high speed. I already replaced the ac resistor but now I’m guessing it would be the blower motor, do you think it needs to be replaced?.

    Hi Sir..My 2010 toyota corolla does not blow air hot or cold, I was driving and suddenly the air stops blowing. Now... It does blows very weak air when I'm driving (cold or Hot) barely noticeable in any number on the control switch. When the car is stopped with the engine running it does nothing, not even weak air. Do you think the bad part is the motor or the resistor. I don't want to buy the wrong part. Thank for your response!

    • @RBTheMechanic
      @RBTheMechanic  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try putting the blower motor on high speed with key on go down there and hit the blow motor just punch it and see what happnes. Other than that see if the connector are melted on resistor and motor
