You hit the nail on the head with just about everything. With that said though they should have unlocked all the units if you didn't already have them, especially now since we can't even buy them with the coins. But the crazy thing is this game kind of made me a Gundam fan when I knew absolutely next to nothing about the series, watched some movies and shows, bought some Gunpla, it's like they did everything wrong with this free to play model, overpriced skins, lackluster battle pass, unfriendly to the people who wanted to grind everything for free, also no quick melee was kind of ridiculous given the amount of units with beam sabers and no dedicated unit that uses them. On a positive note if my sources are correct the last 2 suits we are getting are the Zeta Gundam and Kampfer.
@@nm3k511 Nah Overwatch 2's battle pass is pretty shit also, but then again I'm very biased against Overwatch and OW2 is a straight up downgrade in every way and the people that still play that game are in an abusive relationship.
The gameplay was there. They just couldn't figure out how to get people to backfill in the beginning, or even communicate with voice, a 3rd person view would definitely drive skin purchases like in Fortnite. They didn't even let you purchase EvO coins the first few hours or days,I can't remember, of launch so the excitement to make an impulsive purchase was gone.
I don't even remember the last FPS that came from Japan. They're very inexperienced in this genre. I hope the leaks are true and that Bamco plans to redo this project next year.
This was close tho, so sad it couldn't even live to the SDGO legend, that game had AAAAAAAAAA BUNCH of Suits and remains the best Gundam shooter ever IMO.
yea i spent around 40 overall i agree about the not spending more then an actual game lol maybe id pay more if it was more enjoyable cough * cough* RANDOMS BEING ABLE TO JOIN IN CASUAL GAMES
I was appart of the test server about 2 years ago and i have to say after the first few months of the game being out i could tell some things were needing to be change after the 3 months of quick seasons and back to back unites a d they still have not fixed the server issue or really introducing any new game modes you can tell they were not going in with plans for much It is such a disappointment after waiting 2yeats for the main release and it not to last at least 1 full year just gose to show that developers dont want to try and fix issues or do anything to draw in people to it
instead of heavyarms they shouldve added deathscythe for the optical camouflage instead of dynames virtue wouldve been better with gaint blasters instead of the susanoo, kiryos with much more skills to use while flying wouldve been better instead of the melee zaku anything else wouldve worked instead of a useless diving "tank" maybe the sandrock/crossbone wouldve worked better as a straight forward/front line fighter and throwing a cloak to temporarily blind enemies lupus rex wouldve been amazing to fly around and snatch smaller enemies and drag them into a wall making it vunerable because it's charging recklessly into the enemies
They thought they would hit the jackpot like Blizzard and Overwatch to gain millions, sad cause I gave GE a bunch of money and if I knew a week ago that they where shutting down I would have bought Diablo 4 seasonal instead, I got Susanowo and Heavy Arms cause they look amazing fun and now I am just disappointed, I was playing daily for hours now I just went back to Diablo. This just feels the same as when Marvel Heroes shutdown, as dirty as it was back then for us fans of these games.

I'm more interested if Bandai would come out with updated versions of the old PS2 games of witch I'm sure they'll never do. The way you described this game i probably wouldn't have liked it vary much
Think about it, no one likes to be stunned over and over. Think of how many units literally take control from you. Overwatch went out of their way to remove majority stuns in the game. Paladins literally has an item that reduces the effect of stuns. Skins were also UGLY AF. This game stood absolutely zero chance
Spending money on what? have you seen the skins they made? they are awfull, some colored lines here and there some flame decal black and white, full gold plating (PUKE) pitifull effort.

To be fair, their battlepass was better than OW2's or Destiny 2's battlepass.

One of the best ever made gundam shoots made was the sd gundam capsule fights online why cant we get something that was like that
SDGO was my life growing up, played that game for years between multiple servers. If you know where to look you can still play it :p

You can even just right click and beam spam, without even seeing your target /beyond view distance.
