“I like to truck camp sometimes.” That is a huge understatement. I have been following you Mav since you first started. You are the poster child for truck camping. As usual great video. You did an awesome job on the new design!
Hey Mav, Some friendly advice from a more than hobbyist wood worker. When it comes to staining and or painting. I usually turn to a wet sponge or wet towels and pre dampen the surface. It allows the surface to open up and take in more strain or paint. After a few coats have dried you can always sand or steel wool to smoothen out the surface.
Correct. You dampen it then allow it to dry before staining or painting. You'll feel the texture of the wood has changed due to "opening" up the pores of the wood. It's why when a piece of wood hasn't been properly sealed (like a kitchen table or coffee table) and someone places a drink that sweats without using a coaster, you get the raised ring where the cup sat. It is reopening the pores of the wood.

She turned out very well, great idea being able to slide the floor into that slot and have room for two. A little bit off topic, but have you thought about making a rod with Robert's wrap style guides for lakers and other bigger deep water species through the ice? lmao
what a neat solution, and great work done. It seems to be very practical and well thought-through. What would be interesting to know: the material costs.
I do not have a truck, "just" an SUV, but one never knows what the future brings. Many features of your built can be used for an SUV as well. Congrats on how quickly your channel grew
Damn it’s crazy to see how far mav has come over the past few years , keep up the grind bro love the videos ! Your awesome
What a cool layout for the drawers and rollers. Awesome build and i like the multi purpose center piece. Dope
2 questions: How much did the plywood cost you? And what's your plan for the diesel heater?
The stuff you do is really cool. Kind of makes me want to do something like this one day. When Uh I'm not sure. But hopefully one day!
This was incredible and honestly so truly inspiring. Really makes me want to buy a cheap van/truck and start somewhere!
I love building things and power tools. You did a really good job. Lots of work. Hope you have lots of enjoyment with it,
She turned out very well, great idea being able to slide the floor into that slot and have room for two. A little bit off topic, but have you thought about making a rod with Robert's wrap style guides for lakers and other bigger deep water species through the ice? I have a 28" walleye rod from your old employer and the Robert's wrap really cuts down on guide freeze and the line rubbing the rod. Keep up the great content thanks
Let’s all appreciate that Mac was able to pull off making a awesome place in his truck, keep up with the videos man!
Dude this video you made was absolutely awesome man this was one of my favorite videos to watch. Gotta say seeing you work like this it’s different for the channel, but it’s good I’d love to see more content like this. Hey MAV how is your house coming along I know you have been working a lot on it. Could you possibly do an update video on the house and what you have changed
Awesome! Love the new build! Can you kindly post an episode of you or someone like detail geek detailing your truck inside and out? Including engine bay. Would love to see that!
I know it’s not all about the money, but how isn’t Duluth Trading company all over this channel? You’re the local celebrity and they sell cold weather and camping gear. It’s perfect! 👍
roughly how much did the materials cost for this build and did you need any specialty tools to make it happen?
Damn if only I wasn’t going to the wild game I would’ve been going to the meet up Mav! Keep on truckin! Love ya bud!
it’s all day brah, come in the morning!
@@mav let’s go!
Dammit!! Wish you were in Canada, Saskatchewan. It's a fine place to hang out. A lot of good people to know. And also a lot of good music.
Friggin badass duude👌
How old are you?
Great job and great videos 📸 mav!
Pro tip Mav, a tape measure is usually exactly 3" long so you can measure without bending the tape.
Not true some are 3" and some are 3"5'
They usually tell u tho
So nice to see you two again. Love the update.
No one:
Mav: I have 4 million storage cubbies...
When it comes to investing, nothing pays off more than educating yourself with the right information from the right source. That's how you get rich.
Crypto is the new Gold
I wanted to trade crypto but got discouraged by the fluctuations in price
@@Scottlampert991 You have to get more experience first, work with a professional like Mr Dave Jevans on crypto to guide you step-by-step.
@John McGaughey Will I know about Mr Dave Jevans he's a good broker, and more his trading strategies are top notch
That's a good idea, but how do I get to Mr Dave Jevans?
Bruh, you need to help an old veteran build this in the back of my truck. I want to take a 3 week cross country. Wishful thinking. I know.......
Nice to see a The Home Depot that has what you needed in stock. Doesn’t happen here in SoCal. You visit a baker’s dozen and you can’t even find 5/8” carriage bolts . So made due with 1/2” carriage bolts. When my SUV dies, I’m replacing with a pickup and apply some of these ideas 👍🏾🙏🏾
HOW IS MAV GONNA SMASH COLORADO BADDIE CHEEKS ON THAT NARROW BED BUILD?? Big mistake.
This a good point
First
lame and annoying
I just moved to Blaine last night. Crazy how I also just found your channel and realize you're from here. Also building out trucks and vans at a company nearby , the reason I came here. Been living out of my own van for almost a year
It's so thought out. Literally genius. Everything you had before, but upgraded in the best ways. .
