One of my nieces makes something similar during the holidays: Little Smokies wrapped in bacon, secured with a toothpick, rolled in brown sugar and a little cayenne pepper, baked in the oven and kept warm in a crock pot for holidays. Meat candy. My favorite.
My aunt makes maple syrup candied bacon water chestnuts every Christmas Eve, and they're one of my staple Christmas dishes. They're absolutely delicious!!
My family has been making this as far back as the 1800s except we wrap the bacon around the cracker and definitely do not add parsley. It's a staple during the winter holidays though we also make it whenever we've got a craving. Delicious!
What is more important than the sustainability of the bamboo is that you shouldn’t be wiping you butt with chemically treated and bleached toilet paper.
I’ve had a reel subscription for a while now and I can tell you it’s a pretty nice option. I am very forgetful so it’s nice to have some good sustainable stuff I never have to think about. It’s a real “shit and forget” situation.
I cook my bacon in the microwave for a few minutes. I place it between two pieces of kitchen paper towel. Poached eggs or scrambled can also be done in the microwave. Poached eggs needs water to cover it and scrambled eggs needs a small amount of milk, and cook for a couple of minutes. No oily clean and it tastes perfect.
Emmy, my absolute favorite pizza topping combo is bacon and hot banana pepper rings. It’s magical, and the magic is in the combination of smoke and vinegar. I think you might enjoy experimenting with this.
@@Leeza3370 Yes! And onions! But the pepper rings and the bacon are the indispensable ingredients. Also, being cheap, I’ll order a bacon pie and add the hot peppers and olives (& extra cheese?) at home.
I’ve made these and honestly the best version has 4 ingredients make a mix of brown sugar and Parmesan cheese that’s equal parts. Everything else is the same. Also if you wrap the bacon around the middle the short way it ends up looking like a bow tie and is super cute.
I have bacon but no crackers. Not that I should be making these anyway since I'm diabetic and I'd probably eat them all by myself in one sitting. I love bacon too much. 😅
I've really been wanting to make some hors d'oeuvres lately and these seem like they'd be perfect! And my mom also made bacon wrapped chestnuts, they're like the perfect combo!❤
Just placed my Reel subscription order. We already use a brand of bamboo toilet paper, but it would be awesome to just have it automatically delivered to our door than remembering to go pick it up (we only know one store that sells our brand, and it’s kind of a pain to get to)! 😅😅😅
We made these when I was a kid, we would also use dry mustard powder and a bit of cayenne we would mix those in the brown sugar.. you can also use honey or maple syrup in place of brown sugar
Trees are also a renewable resource. We don't chop down old growth forests to make paper. The Trees used for paper are normally about 10 years old and cutbacks are immediately replanted after harvest.
I make these for every family occasion because my mom always asks me to 😅 but I use the cheap Kraft Parmesan. Club crackers, scoop Parmesan on top and wrap in thin or center cut bacon. 2ish hours @ 250 degrees
My mom used to make the same thing yours did (I think it's called Rumaki) except she'd put the water chestnut into a chicken liver and wrap THAT in bacon and they were amazing.
I have asked before and didnt get an answer. I think I have seen the model name in some of her vids when there's a close up, but I do not remember what it was. I, too, would love one just like hers!
Wish we could make these in australia, but doubtful. They do something with the curing process here that makes it so bacon just gets chewier and tougher until it burns, slow or fast does not matter. Never gets crispy and tender like American or UK Bacon can which would be a must to candy them.
I adore your content, Emmy! I'm honestly so interested in that portable flame pilot that I see all of the time. I have boring electric coils, and I'm wanting one. My question is: how long does a tank of fuel last if not used every day?
Kellogg sold the keebler brand name with only the cookie line going with the sale. All keebler crackers are now under the kellogg or sunshine brand names.
I made some Christmas crack for the first time just a couple days ago (saltines topped with brown sugar/butter glaze then baked and topped again with chocolate chips) I think crispy bacon bits might make it even better.
Cool crackers, look great. Trees are a renewable resource. Take longer to grow? Sure, but that is planned for and managed. There's a lot more forest in the US than there was 150-200 years ago.
Hey Emmy. That was a delicious cracker with bacon 🥓 video. WOW! I wonder who gave you this recipe to taste test this yummy treat. I hope you have have some of the bacon 🥓 🍘 cracker to your husband and your kids. God Bless you Emmy. Take care. Mari'a. 🍘🥓🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️🤣🤣👍👍👍👍💙💜🌈🌈🌈🌈
Will they still be good when they cool down or should they be eaten quickly after coming out of the oven? Just wondering if I could take them to an office party at work, would they still be good when no longer warm?
I was wondering if you could make mayonnaise baked baby potatoes before I try it! I've heard of it very recently, and heard it comes out crispy outside, fluffy inside! Would you consider it? Thank you! - Amanda in Indiana ❤️
I have a request Emmymade I love Cheez-It, but the price of it is now ridiculous. Do you have a recipe for cheddar cheese flavored crackers that taste similar to it, would love to see you make it in one of your shows....
That's a great request! I searched to see if she already had one and it doesn't appear to exist. However, Chef John at Food Wishes does, and his recipes are usually impeccable

We make those too. We add a cube of pineapple. So good!
I have to try these
@@mecahhannah They are delicious and dangerous.
I top with a fresh pineapple piece, next level.
My aunt makes maple syrup candied bacon water chestnuts every Christmas Eve, and they're one of my staple Christmas dishes. They're absolutely delicious!!
How does she make them? It sounds fabulous!
I forgot about these till Emmy mentioned it. I've always wanted to try bacon wrapped water chestnuts. They sound yummy.😊

Didn't expect to find an ad for fancy toilet paper compelling, but Emmy, you're very convincing!
What is more important than the sustainability of the bamboo is that you shouldn’t be wiping you butt with chemically treated and bleached toilet paper.
I use a bidet and Who Gives a Crap recycled paper (it too comes in bamboo.) Because of the bidet, a roll of TP lasts about two months.
Same. I caught myself totally into the ad. Because of Emmy.
Right? And I usually just fast forward through ads, but I actually watched this one!

I just made this and it was SOOOOO GOOD!!!!! My 5 year old said it was worth the wait. Lol!!!
“I’ve already eaten three of them” that’s the best review ever

Watching with my kids and they want to try this with graham crackers ❤
I love how wholesome your channel is! my whole family loves your videos!
been using Reel for years. I love it!
Love you Emmy!! ❤️❤️
Your happiness eating it is priceless. I am surely preparing this one as soon as I do some groceries and buy bacon!

I love your content Emmy, your content is so wholesome and brightens my day. Keep up the great work, sending love to you and your family!
These are so good! Haven't had them with Ritz; definitely will try!
made these today they are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good
Thanks, Emmy!!! I've had this a couple of times and always say I want to make it and I forget. Now, I am writing it down! ❤️❤️❤️
What a wonderfully simple and delicious idea!!! Thank ypu, Emmy❤
I have been seeing this recipe all over the olace, but somehow missed Emmy's video about it?!? I watch everything she makes!
So delicious. I make them for our tree trimming party every year ❤
These are fun and easy for Christmas morning as a side dish or snack
I've really been wanting to make some hors d'oeuvres lately and these seem like they'd be perfect! And my mom also made bacon wrapped chestnuts, they're like the perfect combo!❤
I had a version of these where the hostess with the mostess brushed honey which she'd mixed in smoked chili flakes in and they were DI.VINE!
So simple but they look so good🤤🤤🤤

Adding to my list of must try!
Please leave leftovers outside so we can do tastings :) You know, like one of those free libraries, but for food!
I concur. We need a Baconmobile in our lives. 🥓💙💛💚

Awesome as always thanks ❤

Oooh, I think I would try this with maple instead of brown sugar and Tajin!
Emmy, I am thinking of adding a tiny bit of crumbled bleu cheese to the crackers after they come out of the oven!!!! What do you think???
Sounds yummy.

Oh!! I made these for last Thanksgiving and they were so good! They were a hit!
Yowza these are good go make these now. After watching the video of course. I made mine in the air fryer so so good.
Simply delicious 😋 😍. The food looks good too 😋

I would love to see a video of the New Years snack you talked about

Oh my! That sounds rich!
@@Margar02Well it was, but they were just little finger foods she'd set out for parties, you were only supposed to eat 2-3.
Emmy you speak with such clarity
Emmy love watching your videos. I was wondering what model Breville oven you use. I need to purchase a new one
I have asked before and didnt get an answer. I think I have seen the model name in some of her vids when there's a close up, but I do not remember what it was. I, too, would love one just like hers!
You could probably just find it online by comparing how they look. I may just do that for myself.
Just made a batch of bacon wrapped water chestnuts (rumaki) this last week (it was kind of our dinner 😁😄)
These are dwlicious.
Ree Drummond makes those a lot.
She also does a savory version with grated parm.

I make something really similar to this that I learned from the Pioneer Woman a loooong time ago. It’s so good, doesn’t last very long😂

I baste my bacon with maple syrup to candy it. It has the same effect as the brown sugar but not as sweet.
Emmy, have you ever made a water cracker or a croccantini? I would love to see someone make a cracker.
Emmy made soda crackers not long ago. The verdict was "crunchy, not a great snap."
Looks delicious!
Oh yes to the recipe and that cool toilet paper!❤❤❤
I am SO making this! Thinking...holidays
Please make Forgotten Cookies!
Ooo please do a video of the chestnuts.
Wow, what a treat this looks to be!
I don’t see the link to the bacon baking video.
Hi Emmy. What is the brand of oven that you are using?
I wonder if Maple Syrup would work in place of the brown sugar. Or even with the brown sugar.
Yum!🥓😋
Bacon wrapped Dates! 😋🥰
instead of brown sugar some maple syrup & a dash of cayanne pepper yummmm
Townhouse Crackers are Keebler which are VERY similar to Club. Maybe that's what you were thinking.
BACON!!!!
Keebler used to be cookies and crackers but apparently now is only used for cookies (Kellogg's is used for crackers).
You can make paper out of leaves too!
Water Chestnuts wrapped in bacon are amazing! We had them as an appetizer at all of our family holiday parties. Love love love!
Yummy appetizer for a party
What sort of beverage would you have with this? A strong tea? or a light red wine?
Beer!

My youngest son's bday is coming up fast, so I'm going to make these for him!
