I asked “which one? LDL or HDL?”.
He got a little angered and replied “I don’t know! But if you eat a lot of eggs….whatever, it’s your heart” and kinda stormed off with his instant noodles, Coca Cola and bag of cookies lunch.

really nice diet, I will just stay away from protein unless you take extra glutamin with it, it damages your gut lining leading to allergies etc., good substitution is hemp hearts, maybe w.yoghurt, complex protein from plant kingdom and easy to digest, nice omega 3to6 ratio.
I will stay away from low carb cheese, instead I will focus on aged cheese like cheddar, grana padano, pecorino or just aged cheese, due to high leucin content, and they are low on lactose, all is already eaten by bacteria. I preffer sheep cheese tho, its more nutrient dense and easy to digest.
Maybe useful also for others. check also weston price foundation if u are serious, that is my guideline for nutrition, and it makes a lot of sense.@@owspir1128

So, I stopped taking it. Next Dr visit, I asked why the change, and she said the previous med caused nausea. Well, I told her the previous med didn't do that to me. So, I asked her to take me off that med all together. This Dr had an evil aura, it turned out. She also stopped another med refill at my pharmacy without telling me why. Evil😮l😮😮😮😮 Just EVIL😳😳😳

The Einstein of protein metabolism present day, Dr Donanld Leyman recommends al least 3 eggs a day. Why? Because he says “ upon the scienticific investigations” below 3 eggs is just sugar. İf you consume 3 or more , the protein content is able to convert to muscle via muscle protein synthesis pathway due to leucine aminoacid threshold. At least 3 eggs per meal can supply this leucine threshold which is around 2.5 grams.
I by myself consume 4 eggs a day for the last 10 years.

@@yomarco_8891 Frying eggs is usually done with either butter, margarine, lard, or bacon grease left over from frying bacon. ALL of these methods are NOT good.
DO NOT COOK EGGS THAT WAY. PERIOD.
This method cooks the added ingredients to produce carcinogens which are not good for your health.
Instead, if you must use a frying pan, a clean frying pan, add about 1 or 2 cups of plain water (or more), and bring the water to boiling. (Or you can use a saucepan or even a pot.)
While the water is heating up, start toasting slices of bread and break open the eggs (2, 3, or 4) into a clean bowl(s) to hold the eggs until the water is boiling. (I suggest adding a bit of water to the bowls before adding the eggs. The water allows easy removal of the eggs from the bowls)
When the water reaches the boiling state, turn down the heat so the water continues to simmer.
Now you can simply pour the eggs from the bowl(s) into the simmering water.
Some people like to use rings in the water to hold each individual egg. Those rings are available at grocery stores or mail-order online. Add 1 egg per ring. A ring makes a nicely uniform round cooked egg that fits nicely on a slice of toast.
Continue simmering the water to cook the eggs.
Watch the eggs as the whites start to harden. If you like a firm white, then let them cook a minute or more longer. At this point, it's sort of a trial-and-error process you learn from over several days of cooking.
Before the yolks harden while they're still runny, carefully remove the eggs and place them on a plate, on slices of toast, lettuce leaves, cooked beans or rice, cooked steak, or whatever.
The same process is followed when using a saucepan or a larger pot of water.
NEVER add anything to the water.
Once on the toast, you can add whatever is your favorite, such as salt, pepper, or even some hollandaise sauce (a sauce of egg yolks, butter, lemon juice, and seasonings).
The other acceptable cooking process is to boil the eggs in water, enough water to allow at least an inch of water above the top of the eggs.
Most people add the eggs to the water while the water is "room temperature."
But some people add the eggs when the water starts to simmer or boil. That usually cracks the shells of the eggs while the egg whites are still runny, causing a mess with whites cooking in the water outside of the eggshells.
With the eggs in the water, start timing the simmering time.
For hard-boiled eggs, allow about 8 to 10 minutes of simmering time.
Soft-boiled eggs are a bit of an art. Some people like soft-boiled eggs to be cooked about 2 to 3 minutes, while others like to cook them 4, 5, or even 6 minutes before removing them from the simmering water.
Pour the water and eggs into a colander in the sink and place the eggs in cold water to stop the cooking process. The cold water can be cold tap water or water with ice cubes in the water to stop the cooking time immediately.
After a minute or two, remove the eggs from the cold water, remove the shells, and eat the eggs with salt, etc.

Went to a seminar almost 20 years ago to listen to a guy in his mid 90s talk about the cosmos. He was full of energy, sharp as a tack and if you didn't know any better, you'd think he was in his 40s.
During the Q&A at the end of the meeting, someone told him he looked like the fountain of youth and asked how he did it. "A dozen eggs every day for the last 30 years" he said and he wasn't kidding. He explained that lecithin is an essential fat found in the yolk of the egg and the only way to consume it is from eating eggs and not a supplement and then went into why it does what it does.
I've never forgotten what he said because he provided that information at a cosmos seminar and not health meeting.

In the book,’ The five Tibetan Rights of Rejuvenation’, the author, Peter Kelder mentions the diet of an isolated group of super centenarians in Tibet. They ate many eggs, raw or boiled, very little sugar, and they had an exercise routine that was the precursor to modern yoga . I followed it and saw dramatic improvement within days. Fifteen years later, at age 70, I still have no health issues whatsoever, and I’m able to work hard on a farm every day. I eat once a day and drink a lot of juice and water. I have no belly fat,my hair is still brown, and my family and friends gawk at me in wonder.I am a lean, mean cowboy machine!🤠

I am a 67 year old power lifter, I have been exercising since I was 15 years old and I still go to the gym 4 times a week. I have been eating eggs since I was 13 years old and I still eat eggs every day. I am completely healthy and strong; I have no high blood pressure or high cholesterol or diabetes and healthy kidneys, liver and heart. The problem people eat a lot of trans fat from fried food and sugar and junk food that cause heart problems. I only eat fresh, I don't eat sugar or trans fat. Sugar and trans fat ages the skin. I don't believe eggs are not healthy because I am strong and healthy for my age. I lift more weight than a 20 year old boy in the gym.

I heard long ago that eggs sold in stores have to be washed first. It’s some kind of FDA regulation or something. That’s why they’re kept refrigerated in the stores, and should be refrigerated at home, too. Ones from a farm might still have the coating on them from when they came out of the chicken. If so, they can be kept on the counter.

This is indeed the difference between the USA an Europe (for instance). Got to do with the transport from the cages to the packing place. In the USA they use a "water" based channel while Europe is using roling bands. Once an egg gets wet the shell will loose its protection against outer influences and can be contaminated (like salmonella). That's why you keed to put them in a fridge.

Most heart disease is asymptomatic. Not saying those 7 eggs caused you problems. But unless you've been tested for cholesterol while eating that level of intake, it's a pretty pointless anecdote to have something nebulous like 'superb health'. This is right on. I eat 3-7 eggs a day and beef, fish, liver and chicken. Mostly carnivore but I eat apples and blueberries. I never use seed oils but use olive oil sometime. I sometimes eat vegetables like broccoli and cabbage. I put a little honey and MCT oil in my coffee in morning. My cheat snack once every two weeks is a small back of pistachios. I very rarely eat fast food and if I want a candy bar in a blue moon I go for a dark chocolate one. Being mostly carnivore or behaving like a keto person with limited sugar/carbs, I have changed my whole life around. My blood tests has crazy good numbers all around. I healed my fatty liver (ALT went from >50 to 18) and am at optimal weight. I have energy to move around all the time and do exercise daily. I even look and feel better than when I was in my twenties. People comment on it. CarnivoreMD, Shawn Baker and even Dr. berg has helped me so much over the years. I do not crave fast food any more.

I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. I remembered that back in my younger days, I used to do powerlifting and would eat at least 6 eggs every morning, live off beef and other meat products, and I was healthy as a horse. So, I decided to adopt this lifestyle to manage my diabetes. Well, guess what? In less than one month, I was pre-diabetic. Now, a little over a month later, I no longer have diabetes. I am full of energy and have lost over 24 pounds in less than a month without any exercise. I completely stopped consuming carbs, which were causing my sugar levels to be high. By the way, the doctor had put me on medication, and in the first 3 weeks, I felt like a zombie, and my sugar levels weren't decreasing. He changed my medication and prescribed something else, and the same thing started happening. I told him that I wouldn't take any more medication, and now my diabetes is cured. Don't let them fool you. Carbs can be destructive, while protein can promote healing. Embrace a diet focused on meat consumption and experience improvement.

Hey doc, you really don't want to encourage your patients to eat 8 eggs/ day. Doing you a BIG favor here:
      1. Eating lots of eggs raises blood levels of TMAO, Trimethylamine Oxide (1) JAMA, 1999; 281:1387-94 and (2) N Engl J Med, April 25, 2013; 368:1575-1584).
      2. TMAO increases the formation of plaques in human arteries (Nature Medicine, April 7, 2013).
      3. Same Nature Med. study shows that of 4,000 patients who had heart catheterizations, those with the highest TMAO levels had the highest rate of heart attacks, strokes, and dying over the next three years.
      4. Same TMAO issue is associated with the eating of too much red meat.

I love eggs. I grew up with chickens on the farm so having two eggs for breakfast was standard throughout childhood. In my twenties my future husband and I went on an egg eating binge for a couple weeks due to a new poacher we had found. I had a blood draw one day and there where yellow chunks of fat floating in the vial. That was scary so we laid off the poached eggs thinking that was the problem. Interesting to know that this may have been HDL collecting and dragging bad fats off to the liver for disposal. I've always observed good nutrition and have always tested with what a few doctors have commented on as 'surprisingly low cholesterol.'
It should also be noted that the only time I have ever tested pre-diabetic was during a period of time that I had stopped eating eggs for no particular reason. The last several years I have observed a strongly plant based diet with daily eggs, dairy, and healthy fats from avocado/olive oils, butter and the occasional fatty fish (fresh mackerel). I save delicious meat for special occasions or when a friend has bbq on the grill. The cholesterol is even lower these days and the pre-diabetes hasn't come back.

I steam my eggs. The water boils faster when there's only an inch of water in it and the eggs cook in the exact same amount of time as boiling. I like mine soft steamed around 6.5 minutes, but I'll do 10 minutes if I need the yolks for deviled eggs or other recipes that need hard yolks. Soft steamed are also great for adding to a broth based soup to add some creaminess.

I am a 30 year old man who has never had a history of health issues. My vital signs always perfect, blood tests normal, exercise regularly, eat healthy.
I used to have 10 chickens that would give me anywhere between 4 and 8 eggs per day. By the end of each week I would have more eggs than I knew what to do with. To prevent wasting them, I started to eat between 3 and 6 eggs per day. A few months went by and I began noticing when I went to bed at night and layed on my left side I could hear my heart beat in my ears. One night the intensity of my heart beat Increased and my heart began going into palpitations making it difficult for me to breath. I came out of it in 5 seconds but it scared the hell out of me. I went to the doctor to have my blood tested and my cholesterol was high. I stopped eating as many eggs and started doing intermittent fasting for 3 months. Cholesterol levels went down and I don't hear my heart when I lay on my left side anymore.
I eat eggs. I like eggs. I think eggs are healthy. But you can over do them.

I have 21 hens and I eat about 10 eggs a day and share the rest with my friends, family, and neighbors. I use bacon grease or other meat grease to make the pan non-stick for cooking my eggs. I cook the eggs just enough that they aren't runny. I don't use any oils in any of my cooking. I only drink 1-2 cups of black coffee in the morning and water the rest of the time. Sometimes I will add some lemon juice to my water just for a flavor change up. I am primarily a carnivore eating beef, lamb, bison, pork, chicken, venison, cheese, eggs, beef or chicken liver when I can get it, tilapia, and salmon. My grandfather keeps trying to tell me the old nutrition rhetoric that his PCP is giving him that my eating eggs is going to lead to heart disease and adding that to the amount of red meat I eat just means that it is not a question of if but of when I will end up having a heart attack. Another great video and I will be watching more of your content. I started going from the standard American diet to carnivore after I started watching Dr. Berry in the Fall of 2023. This is now considered the gold standard in nutritional science.

Since 1961 the doctors in Brisbane Australia told people NOT to eat more than one egg per week. the public hospital doctors later on went on to become local doctors. Because of the USa info so many of us managed to become diabetic even when we believed that doctors were telling us the truth. Now in our older age the same type of doctors are pointing the finger of blame on the unwell person. The Princess Alexandra hospital is one where diabetics are given endless packs of biscuits , sugary fruit drinks, flavoured sugary milk drinks , sugary deserts , and milo drinks at night. Then there is the complaint that it costs a lot to run a hospital. It would never have been necessary if we were not fed so many lies over 50 years. I have gone carnivore now after reading Dr berry and Dr Ovadia stories. If the hospital stopped feeding the diabetic patients so much horrible bad slop then it would cost them less to run these hospitals. I am now eating eggs or some fatty meat for breakfast or sometimes nothing at all. I no longer have the raging hunger problems which I had from listening to false medical advice.

When you think about it, an egg turns into a living being.
This means that an egg has to be made of all the necessary components to create life.
Keeping that in mind, if it has all the necessary components to create life, it's only fair to assume it has all the necessary nutrients to sustain life.

The common theme recurring here is those folks bingeing on eggs also do EXERCISE A LOT, so effects of the egg (dietary cholesterol) is offset through exercise. We need examples of those who ate lots of eggs without doing exercise and compare their before and after lipid test numbers specifically to LDL. Bottom line, moderation is key and exercise paramount. Otherwise eggs DO contain cholesterol, both the good and bad, and of course as many essential vitamins. You draw your own judgment before consuming them depending on what end result you are looking for. Also remember most of these studies are sponsored by special interest groups (poultry farmers etc) to skew findings in their favor. So exercise due diligence. Go with your own blood test numbers. Individual results vary on anything. Just be careful with anything you consume and, again, do it in moderation.

I initially didn't like this guy's delivery of the topic. However the wealth of information and the graphics won me over. His reference to Catherine Shanahan struck a bell as I just finished two of her books, "Deep Nutrition' and "The Fatburn Fix." I've been trying to do the one meal a day low carb thing but mostly with green leafy vegetables. I supplement this with a couple eggs, cheese and sunflower seeds. I'll also add tuna in lieu of the eggs. I was glad to see the plethora of good information provided about eggs. I'll stick with the store eggs. (The video sourced that the nutritional info on direct farm eggs was from a poultry institute.) Maybe he'll do one on ketosis. Thanks.

You will find it far easier to do the keto diet if you add some healthy fats into your diet. It will help satiate you and give you energy between meals. Try Switch from the tuna to salmon or a ribeye steak. Tuna is super lean and when you're in ketosis the lean protein of the tuna is not a very good balance of protein and fat. Or try mixing in a little olive or avocado oil into your tuna to get a better mix of fats/protein ratios. You'll notice you will start to feel a million times better and stretching out your fasting will become way easier. I have to remind myself to eat as my hunger virtually totally disappears when i add a little more fat in. Even if I'm still somewhat calorie restricted. I've been eating at 10am and 3 pm for the last few months and I feel absolutely amazing. I've had to start adding in a third meal a few times a week as I was continuing to lose weight past my goals and couldn'teat enough in two meals to keep the weight on. Now I've upped my calorie Intake and working towards building up more muscle.

@@themeach011 I find much of the foods recommended by the food experts to be somewhat pricey for a poor man like me. Neither steak, avocados or olive oil are inexpensive. Tuna is 88 cents a can. I'll stick with it.

Tuna they say is a big fish that eats other small fish and therefore might have more mercury content. I am not a big salmon fan. Lately have been buying wild caught flounder from a local Publix store. It is a bit expensive though.

Hi, i have a question. You said in the video, that it is not the cholesterol perse that is dangerous, but damaged cholesterol in particulair, and that it happens when it is combined with a habit of eating processed foods ? Did i got that right? I really like to munch on my favorite chocolate cookies with my energy drink but i also eat 5 organic, very expensive eggs everyday. Is it more harmful when i combine it like this? Is it better for my health if i, for example, dont combine it like this but eat something else with my favorite snacks? Or does the eggs protect me? Ty

My Doctor here in Texas explained that we should occasionally eat duck and quail eggs also. He said they have a differences that our gut bacteria enjoys plus they're WAY higher in vitamins and minerals.

Hello!!!! I am Paleo and totally AGREE with your egg research findings!!! I'm really delighted that you addressed the issue of HOW eggs are prepared!!! Many restaurants and diners use Vegetable OILS and Partially hydrogenated oils-including sunflower, peanut, corn, and canola oils in their food preparation which are NOT heart healthy!!! So watch out HOW all your food is prepared!!!

The most nutritious way to fry eggs, is in EVOO on low-low heat.

My experience eating 6 eggs a day for an extended period of time agrees with what you're saying. And Ghee and Tallow are great alternatives to any of the plant based oils mentioned.

Saturated fat is still a very real and supported driver of atherosclerosis. I'd be careful of the Ghee and Tallow, and lean toward Olive / Avocado oil and other monounsaturated fats. Save your saturated fat intake for the nutrient dense foods like eggs that happen to have some.

@@thomasc1270Yeah, I'm pretty sure they got that wrong about saturated fats. My body feels best on an animal-based diet.

    • @thomasc1270
      @thomasc1270 ปีที่แล้ว

Unfortunately there are no signs of heart disease or atherosclerosis, so we can feel just great on it until suddenly the arteries get to a point where they start clogging, and suddenly you have severe, life threatening symptoms. If you test your cholesterol while eating that way, and the LDL is staying low, then great you are someone whose body responds very well to dietary cholesterol and saturated fat intake. However, most people out there respond poorly to saturated fats, and are average cholesterol responders, with a minority being extremely poor responders to both, where even small dietary amounts can cause problems. The test is 20-30$, so it's best to get tested to make sure that you're not causing long-term harm. And if you're not, then that's absolutely fantastic! But I've learned its best to get the test and be sure for peace of mind if nothing else. @@JeremyBWallace
