      @@amandarosefoell703 I was raised very strict. I got beaten for it too by my aunt then again when my mom came home. That didnt stop me from doing it. But that doesn't change the fact that kids have emotions just like adults and sometimes they come out unexpectedly. It's one thing if he did it and broke her nose on purpose and had zero remorse. But as you can tell his mom said he was traumatized by the incident. All I'm saying is it's easy to judge when you're sitting on your computer and only hear a minute of a story.

    Honestly, it's very likely her son is dealing with some kind of issues, but since he's quite young they're keeping it private. It's not hard to believe that an 8 year old with special needs could get extremely upset about something and accidentally cause an injury because they simply don't have enough self control. He could be as emotionally volatile as a four year old while otherwise normal for all we know. That doesn't make him a bad person, since most often the child can't help it, their brain doesn't work exactly the way we'd expect.

    • @mgnj249
      @mgnj249 4 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @@seigeengine I'm sorry but this information is nonsense. A baby is calm in the presence of his caregivers. The baby knows somebody is there. Moreover between 6 to 18 months the baby developes an understanding of his own being and therefore understands that there are other people. When a baby or a small child is calling you mama/dada it understands that other people exist. My son is 4 years old. He and his friends know each other, know their moms and dads by name, know their grandparents. But I understand where you're comming from. The ability to remember certain things and experiences you had when you were 0 to 3 years old is mostly unusual but not impossible. Furthermore the learning of ethical behaviour happens in social context at a very young age. You learn how to adapt to not be excluded from social groups. That can be a rough phase. But for many kids is not a problem and usually when they behave in an uncontrolled manner and the mother/father excuses the behaviour of the child the parents are in dennial, unable to raise a kid that is concious of moral and empathy or they have a history of violence in their home. And the fact the mother is masking and excusing the violent behaviour (remember he broke a nose, that is big pain and big consequences, so why doesn't she mention he is sorry, why is it "Santas fault", why is he disrespectful screaming and being in her face?) is a hint for people in child services that there might be a history of violence in the family home.

    • @seigeengine
      @seigeengine 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mgnj249 Well, you're wrong. You're also using nonsense arguments.
      I feel comfortable under heavy blankets. Does that mean I think blankets are people? No. If I woke up and noticed I was under blankets I did not recognize, would I be comfortable? No. A baby does not need to conceive of other people to feel comfort with caregivers.
      Understanding that you exist does not mean understanding others exist.
      Saying mama/dada does not translate into understanding that mama and dada are people.
      Seriously, literally none of these things are actually thought out statements, just emotional appeals.
      "A baby said mama so it understands the concept of another person!" No. It babbled basic sounds until it landed on a pattern that got a positive result, training it to continue using that pattern. Even once it knows that mama refers to you, that doesn't mean it understands what you are. Does talking to Siri mean someone understands Siri? No, obviously not.
      Everything else is just more nonsense that isn't even trying to argue with what I said.
      And as far as him being sorry, do you normally babble nonsense repeatedly at every opportunity to convey the obvious and assumed? No, you'd probably just think if she doesn't say he's sorry then he's really a violent sadist who fantasies about brutally murdering and dismembering her, right?
      Yeah, because that's what I'd want, someone I hurt accidentally to continue rambling about it instead of minimizing the time they're talking about what would likely be the single most miserable regret I'd ever had. No, better pander to other people's need to be comforted! Who cares about your own child...

    • @mgnj249
      @mgnj249 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@seigeengine I didn't critize you personally so why are you trying to insult me? I used arguments and tried to translate them to an easy level in using understandable examples. And since english isn't my mother tongue arguing in a different language is much more harder. I studied educational science and have experiences in child care on my own. But I also worked in child services meaning having to do with this kind of violent behaviour in children everyday. I've read lots of testing about my children clients in what they can understand socially, emotionally. Moreover to my own experience I knew of the existence of people much more befor the age of 8. And I can't imagine that you did any different but maybe I'm wrong in your case.
      And to your way of discussing/commenting: I won't answer if your next comment should be this kind of invasive. If you consider me as a snowflake or something like that be my guest. But I don't have time for discussing in such a negative and rude attitude.

    • @seigeengine
      @seigeengine 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mgnj249 I didn't insult you. I was dismissive of your arguments on the grounds they were awful and mostly had nothing to do with what you were trying to claim. I also expressed why each one was wrong, which you've conveniently ignored to hide behind claims of authority.
      As for my harshness, I dislike when people argue with me with nonsense that less tries to refute what I said and more tries to manipulate people's emotions into feelings like I was wrong. Your claims to be well educated on the subject only makes it worse, because that suggests that you aren't simply doing it out of ignorance, but in spite of knowledge. It's the kind of drivel you'd expect from a populist politician, for instance.
      And I'm frankly tired of hearing people attack this mother and child on the basis of fiction, a concerning inability to conceive of reality they have not witnessed or heard of, and people's own childhood abuse. Is all of this concerning? Yes. Does it say anything conclusive in absence of more context? No. Am I tired of hearing people glorify assaulting children? To the point of misanthropy, yes.
      If you find me hostile, I am. If that upsets you, I'm sorry. If you don't address what I've said with genuine application of intellect, you'll find that sentiment will change rapidly.
      Also, as far as I'm aware, speaking/writing in a different language doesn't prevent someone from being rational, and you appear to be good enough at English I doubt expressing them would be more than a mild struggle, no?

      @@fatimahyusufi4161 Imagine being such a terrible mother you harbour years of resentment towards your son over an accident when he was eight, and regularly express that resentment towards him?
