And the mind blowing fact, is that effective tax in USA are actually the same level as in Denmark..... The difference is that Danes do not have to dig into kids education savings or take a loan, when someone in the family are struck with cancer.

It's never that cold in the Danish summer... it's just that it's usually too hot or it keeps raining... and when it's hot it's a moist heat.
And due to generally low temps and insulated houses, air conditioning is not really an industry here so nobody is prepared for those few but harsh humid-hot days :s
There's tax on groceries in Denmark too - there's tax on everything. It's called MOMS and is 25% and it's included in the price

@@Kemachris got curious, and decided to do a deep grammar dive. The correct translation turns out to be "additional turnover tax". This is based on the danish word "Moms" Which is an abbreviation of the word "Meromsætningsafgift (Mer-omsætnings-afgift)", which translates into "additional turnover tax"
Wrong. It is not included. As well as it is not included in USA. What it really is, are that the shop have to provide the number on the price tag, as price plus sales tax. It is not the shop that pay sales tax, the customer does.
We in Denmark pay 25% in VAT taxes on everything that's gas, candy, beer, socks, and everything in between. Usually, we pay income taxes a minimum of 38% + labor market contribution of 8% so that's at least 46% as mentioned in the video sometimes over 54% combined. We also have a registration fee on cars at 105% of the value of the car as a minimum. So yeah we are one of the most taxed countries in the world for a reason. We literally have taxes on everything.
Even the air in the softice and the bubbles in the champaign...
VAT is an EU thing, also dont forget shit like the sugar tax, carbon taxes etc but at least we dont have to tip, or add the tax in our heads at the store.

We do not pay 46% in tax, here in Denmark. Some people pay 46 BEFORE deductions. Some people pay less.
You are so welcome, but for your sake visit in June and July... Trust me!!! Those two months we are the best country, perfect temperature and blue Beaches. The rest of the year the sky is crying and everything is either grey, freezing or just dark all day.
We only have snow in the winter from December to april, we can have snow But most of the winter it's not cold enough and the we have rain, rain and more rain. The light go away - so we only have daylight from 9 to 4 the rest of the time is dark. But in the summertime we have daylight from 4 until eleven!
Was Hospitalized in Denmark for Internal Bleeding on 2 different occacions, was on the one occacion there for 4 days and the other 1 day

Taxes in Denmark vs US. I saw an american couple, who calculated their total expenses of their gross salary in Denmark vs US. It was approximately the same. A lot of the taxes in Denmark goes to free healthcare, free education and other stuff that americans pay for out of their net salary instead of through taxes.
I don't for sure if it's a prison in DK, it could be an open prison. The one you saw from Norway, was a max. security prison !!!

5:15 while on paper you "only" pay 28% tax, if you add up health insurance it pretty much is equal to Danish tax... only difference is... we don't go bankrupt when we go to the hospital... i have t2 diabetes and i pay around on avg 300 DKK (roughly 50 USD) a month for medicine... and i get some of the expensive stuff like ozempic, and its not like i don't get a lot of medicine... I'm getting like 6-7 types of medicine and because of my disease (and my mental health issues) the government pays for my disability around 2500 USD a month (before tax obviously). And my rent (40 sq m/ 430 1 room apartment) costs me around 3200 DKK (~550 USD) a month (actually around 4400 DKK but with a deductable of around 1300 DKK a month).
