I am from Roskilde in Denmark, and i can confirm that the naked run is an annual event at the Roskilde festival, the winner gets a free ticket to the following years festival. It is super funny to watch. Oh and who ever narrated that video butchered every single danish word he tried to pronounce.

Football is the official national sport of Denmark and without doubt the most played sport in the country. In 2019, more than 360,000 footballers were registered. Football definitely takes up the equivalent space both in the news, in the small-talk and in the lives of many Danes.

The issue, over Hans island, was sorted this year. Danmark and Canada, wanted to show the world how to solved land disputes. All in the light of the Russian invasion in Ukraine.
Canada and Danmark now have a shared land border. So you can walk from Canada to Danmark in no time, and both countries now have two land borders with different countries.
BTW, this dispute has never been a big issue, more likely convenient for both countries.

The reason this small Island was contested is because if you (as a Country) have an Island, a certain distance from that Island is considered yours, so any Natural recources are yours aswell such as for example oil. Which makes it a whole lot more attractive than just a small piece of Rock.

The tax thing is misleading. Denmark has a progressive tax system, with 45% being the middle. But most do not pay that much. My job field sees me earning about 5K USD per month and I pay 37%, like most average danes. The max is about 65%, which only apply to whose who earns millions per year.
Our flag is not the oldest, the Japanese flag is from 701, and there's flags even older than that. However it's the oldest continuous running flag, meaning we didn't change it since we got it.
The "war" for Hans Island, or the Whisky War as some called it, ended not long after the RU invasion of Ukraine in 2022. Because it's not a good look for 2 NATO countries to have contested land. The island was split down, 60/40, along a natural crack in the island. This means Denmark and Canada, who formerly only had 1 land border each (Canada with US, Denmark with Germany), now share a land border with each other.
