I literally went in there the other day and they were selling used 2DS's for the same price that they are sold for new on ebay. Retarded. They're going to sit there until some soccer mom comes in for Christmas 2018. Good job guys.
hitachicordoba yes that really annoys me, when I trade in my games I tried to keep them struction manual and a case and turn them in like that and I think and this is just me talking a little more money when you have the case and an instruction booklet and everything in tack.
One thing that pisses me off is when people watch videos by retro gaming TH-camrs, the TH-camr points out a good game and the people selling copies instantly jack-up the price! It's no fault of the TH-camr, they're just recommending a game but the scalpers who bump up the price after that bug me sooo much.
There's a guy near my community that goes to ever garage sale possible, at the crack of dawn and beats everyone else.. He's a reseller on Ebay. Hate that guy..
A few weeks ago, I went to a garage sale that had some gaming stuff advertised. I got there about 10 min early to be safe and walked up to it immediately after people started showing up. Apparently, a guy showed up at 2am....2AM and just camped in front of their house til they allowed him to come in and buy the games. I told the seller I would've called the cops on that one!!!
Massive peeve of mine: winning an eBay auction for a really low price, but the seller gets butthurt and cancels and claims that “their son dropped it down the stairs”
Haha, atleast you didn’t have your seller send you a bunch of trash Wii accessories and claim they mixed a copy of pokemon yellow with that at the post office. Atleast I got my money back but it was free shipping... Luckily pokemon yellow isn’t too expensive.
+John Butch yea ppl that ask a bunch of money for a game on craigslist irks me. Like they don't have to pay for a store front, or take eBay charges. However they won't top dollar for you to come to there house and pick it up... lol and they always find the most expensive buy it now price for their game and say "I know how much it's worth".
+zackery chapman That happened to me so much. But, when you come across that one cheap copy, you HAVE to jump on it straight away, even when you dont have much money to spend
+John Butch That's true man! But some games are super rare. Or pretty low on circulation. Those are typically the ones that cost more. But if you're buying a game say like COD which you could probably get at a store used for 30 40 bucks and some fool is selling it online for 65 then yea, that is pretty dumb. But hey, it is a free market! That's pretty much how it works with any good you buy and sell. Capitalism at it's finest!
Scalpers. People who buy limited items just for profit, leaving people who actually want to collect or play something in the dust. I tried to buy the Sun and Moon 3DS a week or two before the game came out. It was selling for about 350-400 dollars on eBay, and every single online retailer and store was sold out. This shit drives me nuts.
No today kids are the ones selling drugs they get in less shit. If I were to go and do it I get 5 to 10 years for trafficking its fucked! But yes that pisses me off to I seen a fantastic series smoke black n64 with 3 great games for 70 bucks some jackass brought it reposted the next day asking 170 for the system and 50 each game like wtf its stupid
Even true collectors care about their value. It’s not like you would resell to someone for a cheaper price, just because you thought they were a true gamer or fan. There will come a time (for whatever reason, time mainly) where you will sell you all your games and you’ll want top dollar.
@@ryancross8136 well if I did sell I would ask fair prices not 80 to 85 for one loose n64 cart like all the other asshiles out there did I forget to mention they copys are beat to shit lol I'm ask 45 to 50 for mario party 1 in mint condition
@@ryancross8136 I collect VHS and music cassettes. I would and do cut prices if I know its a collector and not just a flipper. Most people in small collecting communities do the same.
I like them because it shows the handwriting of an individual when they were younger that either A) died and/or B) you don't know them. Not to mention no one keeps the same handwriting for all their life (especially when talking about a younger individual) which makes it sorta cool.
Chillin' My grandpa wrote out the names on top of the cartridges so he could arrange them on a shelf for my uncle to just take out and start playing since they threw the boxes away (still have them). My grandpa died in 2010 even though he did have a life threatening disease (cancer to be exact) since '07. Like how I said, you don't know who wrote them and how old they were when they wrote on them (unless it's really evident by their writing), as far as you know it could either be the child playing the games or their parents writing on the games to neatly put on a shelf and for them to pick out.
There are _markers_ and then there are _permanent_ markers ... Most people don't know the differences between different types of markers. I have done some crafting, and I know that there are some thing for which one type is suitable for one thing but completely unsuitable for another, and vice versa.
One of my personal favorites, when game$top sells you a "new" game, then grab the case off the floor, put the disc in it, then seal it with some bullshit sticker. "new" means factory sealed. period.
I’ll never forget when I asked for yakuza 0 “NEW” and I saw them grab sleeve with the disk and scratching my head like how is that considered new? They basically sold it to me at new price I was pissed
Huge pet peeve of mine! I contested them saying it's not like it would wear out being in a console vs sitting in a sleeve. Any other retailer would give you at least 10% off the display model. I was by a Target so I called them while I was in store and they had the game and it was on sale for $5 less. Told them that and walked out.
Hate it when local thrift stores have a bunch of young people working in the back that receive the donations. 90% of the good stuff never makes it to the shelves. :(
The "history" aspect. Yeah. I totally uderstand keeping stickers in order to keep reminding you where and how it came from. It lets you feel the "weight" of your personal contribution and doesn't necessarily transform it into a store shelf.
My biggest pet peeve is that Good Will got wise to the whole video game collecting and now has an Ebay-type website for selling these games. The chances of finding anything worthwhile in a Goodwill store are minimal now. I don't even visit anymore.
+sandplasma I just picked up a copy of ocarina of time N64 for $10 at goodwill. It doesn't happen very often, but every once in a while you'll find a gem in there at a discounted price
I hate how most bundles come with a digital download for the game... Recently I bought myself a Wii U Smash Bros and Splatoon bundle and they were download only! What the heck man! I like to actually own the box of my games! ):
The Halo 5 collectors console bundle had a steel case but no disc to put in it. If you wanted a disc I believe you had to bring the code to certain stores in order to swap it out.
+Rick Astley We all like a physical copy. But this is the new world, where doing it cheaper means no physical media. Just like how you cannot handle or inspect a shirt online,I want to touch it,try it on and see how it looks before I buy it.
Rick Astley I know. I like a physical copy in my hand. I like being able to take it with me if I am going to someone's house to play it. I like the fact that it is a physical copy means I own it.
I use a hair blow dryer to get stickers off. It melts or should say softens the adhesion enough for you to take them off. I do it on paper labels and plastic cases with great results. You only blow dry it for a few seconds and then start peeling it from a corner with your finger nails. Be patient and it will come off. If it feels hesitant at a certain point, don't force it apply more heat and continue. Trust me this works!!!!! Hate using goo gone because it messy unless it's only on plastic and it's needed. Another trick is when you peel the sticker off and you have left over residue, use the same sticky label you took off and tap it on top of the left over residue on the label and it should come off. Have fun removing those stickers! Remember patients is a virtue. :)
I worked as a screen printer and sign maker for many years, from all of my experience working with stickers and vinyl, heat is the only thing that will help remove the adhesive and the sticker. When vinyl wrapping or sign making the use of a heat gun is not only encouraged but for professionals it is required. If material is installed wrong you can just apply a bit of heat, remove the "sticker" and re-apply. The heat encourages the adhesive of the sticker to warm up and become tacky again, allowing for easy removal. Ask any vinyl wrapping or sign making company, they will tell you the same.
Hey MetalJesus, I'm more of a silent subscriber, rarely ever commenting, but I just have to say that you're probably one of the coolest and most down to earth people on youtube. This combined with your great ability to present and speak plus your high quality videos makes you probably one of my favourite youtubers and my go-to person for older systems. You've introduced me to several video game series such as Onimusha, Clock Tower, Persona, and even made me love shoot em ups. You truly seem like a person who not only loves making videos but isn't afraid to show who he truly is in his videos. Thanks for making videos for all of us to watch!
Nintendo intentionally doesnt drop any prices on their hardware and recommends MSRP do the same to games whenever possible- which is why NEW Nintendo games for the Wii U and Wii (re-releases) don't drop in price. That artificially keeps the secondary market of games at a high level too. If they didnt do this, then the demographic of Wii and Wii U Games (for example) that was rare and/or valuable would be completely different.
I hate that they throw the cases. I alway ask them if they gonna throw it out to just give it to me. At my local gamestop they know me so they'll give it to me
I get that they try to make these sections as small as possible to maximize the floor space, but how about this Game Stop: Just keep some cases, and take all of the cover art and manuals out of the cases and put them in a drawer. When someone buys a game, slip the cover art and manual into one of your cases. It isn't like you are going to sell every DS game in a year so you only need a few cases at a time on-hand. Just throwing them out when they make the games more desirable is a waste for both you and the consumer!
My local shop would do this too and take all the Nintendo points cards. I had to ask for them to call their sister store to get the booklet for a NEW game I was buying on sale :/
I don't know why so many people have games for sale that are disk only. like where did the case and manual go?? who opens a game and just chucks the box?????
+RedPillorBluePill I admit I did it a lot as a kid. I generally regret it - and most older games just came in cardboard, which meant that they either got stepped on or destroyed.
yeah i get it with the cartridge games. on flip; side it amazes me that there are so many nes, snes, and n64 still boxed around. discs though...there is no excuse
Having to move quickly is usually a culprit. Also, lending out a game and someone breaks the case, or you break the case yourself. The plastic they used back in the day was easy to crack if was cold, and stores like Walmart don't heat the backrooms.
+Chilly Willy 88 same goes about the price, if it was super cheap, that little sticker looks cool, same if it was expensive, so you show how much it costed to you in terms of money and persistency
If you're in the UK you'll know what I'm talking about... Charity shops that sell items for ridiculous eBay prices! More and more people are looking to eBay as a price guide and attempting to sell items for over the top prices. Charity shops are for charity, not for profit. It's not like they purchase the items, they are donations that should be sold for a reasonable price! I'm not saying give them away, but £2-£10 max! Ive seen used lesser desirable PS2 games with price tags of £30!
+Robin Bill Most of the time charity shops have nothing worthy of note but a couple of months back I found about 10 Gamecube games all at £1 each. Its not even like these were bad games either and they included Mario Sunshine, Metroid Prime 2, Harvest Moon, Timesplitters, Pikmin and, my personal gem, The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess GCN.
Don't get me wrong, I have found some gems in my time (boxed nes/snes/mega drive/ sealed ps2 etc) . It is the growing number of charity shops that look to eBay as a price guide that is the problem. Pricing the worst ps1/2/3 games at stupidly high prices. This could be an issue with London only... Car boot sales are good, however I'm seeing more and more re sellers who turn up at 6am to bag all the good stuff. It is becoming increasingly difficult to collect games, maybe I'll get into knitting... ;)
Here in the UK i have to get PC games from Amazon..the game shops used to sell them..sometimes i can find one in a charity shop (thrift store)...its annoying...but also exciting to find them...(Big Fish and Black Lime hidden object games)
yup or gamestops or said retailers case. i hate the way they look on my shelf. I like to present them and when one looks out of place it ruins the whole thing it for me lol
No they don't. Gamestop gives you the same price whether the box is in perfect condition or if you don't have the box at all and it's just a loose disc. The only reason they give you a lower price is if the game itself is damaged. www.gamestop.com/trade/quote/xbox-one/games/overwatch-origins-edition/126701 Right there at the bottom of any trade-in value search, and I can confirm this because I've traded in a game without the box. If you're getting less, someone at Gamestop is trying to swindle you.
Great video. What I hate is when people don't bother cleaning their games before selling them. I got so much stuff from eBay last year, both games and consoles, which were absolutely filthy, covered in all sorts of gunk. I often wonder what people do with their games. They could at least have the courtesy to give them a wipe with a damp cloth.
+C .Jacobsen This is why people who take care of their games are needed more and more, because it feels like people raided the new mexico landfill and got more than just ET copies out of it, lol.
Greetings from Scotland. .I buy and sell hifi and it's the same for that..amplifiers with gunk all over the switch gear etc speakers with rings on top I could go on...don't just blame the kids...some folks are filthy...when someone buys from me I want them to open the box to a super clean second hand product...I have all the playstations. .all mint ..I'd go nuts otherwise lol
o my gosh i hate yard sales where people are like oh its an old game it might cost like 70 $ and they sell it like 50 and its like a cheap nfl game for n64
For me it's when they don't tell you it's the Greatest Hits version and the only picture is a stock one of the black label version. That's how I ended up with the GH version of Ni no Kuni.
+cptnoremac I hate getting the Greatest Hits version of any game on any console. Thankfully at my local friendly retro game store, the owner lets me swap them out for the black label/original print of the game for no charge.
RC Cola It was Glyde, and the only option they had was a button saying it's what they described and one saying it wasn't, with no way to say what was wrong. There was also the option to send it back, but then I'd probably have to pay for the shipping and it's just not worth the trouble of driving to the post office.
+cptnoremac I feel you bud I bought my entire gc collection over 200 games on eBay and Amazon and went through this weekly. I eventually got a direct number to them because of how often it happens. my favorite is when the seller plays dumb as if they didn't know greatest hits are worthless to most collectors. who the fuck else would pay close to retail for games well over a decade old??
i used to work for GS and I refused to put the sticker on the artwork, we would actually leave the sticker still adhered to the roll paper, and just wedge it into the spine
Our store put the sticker on the insert in the upper right hand corner and on the back, so annoying! Game Crazy would just put the sticker with the backing in it.
I hate how goodwill sells videogames at online prices now. I use to love finding jems at thrift stores for amazing prices. Now, everyone uses pricecharting and it's super annoying. My biggest problem with goodwill is that why should I pay normal price for a game that may not work, and that I could confidently pick up at a local videogame store for the same price? Furthermore, they dont allow returns on videogames because "we have no way in knowing that is the same game we sold you" . I bought around 20 games at goodwill and 6 of them didn't work. They didn't allow me to get my money back even as store credit and I was given a coupon for 20% and was out like $50.... Most reputable videogame stores will return you store credit no questions asked.
+Armando Teran I have to admit...because of people stealing from me...for awhile..I got guilty of that one. I think a lot of people get like that, just because some people will come over, visit and sometimes...they've got to steal something....it might be just a pen or two....but sometimes it can be cd's or movies or games....something small that you won't miss for awhile...until you go to play it a week later and it's not there anymore. So, for awhile...I started doing it...because at least if it came up missing and I found it at a friends' house...I'd know....ok...this is the friend who is not a friend and is stealing from me. But, I can understand in a store, how you go to buy it and it's got "Johnny Fucker" written 5 times all over the cart and it can get very annoying.
+Jason Bitzegaio if you plan to sell it, its bad. But if you don't, I guess it's okay in a way. It's just a preferable preference of mine because I tried to sell one that had someone's name on it from a long time ago.
There are things that can remove the names though. If you take your time, are careful...you can get the names off and not have an issue with selling off a game like that.
+Jason Bitzegaio That's why I invite no one into my home. You wanna play games, get your own and play it at your own home. If you want to play someone, you have online now. If you want it old school style, then they better be a damn good trusted friend. Maybe play at their house or on neutral ground. Keep your collection safe and locked in a room while you play in another room with other people. Just suggestions.
Fuk You, I already do that. But, as you know...sometimes things happen, people can take advantage of a distraction...stuff like that. But, the people stealing were people I thought at the time that I could trust...and they proved that wasn't the case. We all live and learn. But now....I game for me...and for anyone else...if you game with me...it's because I know I can really trust you. I don't do online gaming. I've never liked it. I'm happy doing solo stuff or playing with my wife or with the few I know I can trust. Too many assholes in online gaming. It's one thing to be a good shit talker...we all enjoy that person who is....but another when they are just abusive and mean and nasty to everyone else. I ran into way too many like that, so I stick to myself and avoid online gaming.
My pet peeves are thrift stores and pawn shops listing video games on Ebay for max profit instead of putting them on the shelves, Yard sale sellers selling at ebay prices for max profit. The days of having a yard sale to just get rid of old stuff is over. Thanks Ebay!!
No, the absolute worst stickers are the old Hollywood Video CD label stickers...the ones they'd put over the ENTIRE top of the disc...it is transparent with some writing, but you can't remove it without fear of ripping off the reflective top and ruining the disc...absolute worst...
+The Nostalgia Factor - Use the hair dryer trick. Go easy and go slow and they come right up like they were just applied yesterday. But keep reheating with the hair dryer to keep it coming free.
+Robert Barker Thanks...I'll try it, but this is the entire size of the disc itself. And it is my black label copy of Symphony of the Night...so I'm very hesitant to do anything to that disc...
+The Nostalgia Factor - I hear you on that one. That game has jumped in price for sure. The key is to keep it near too hot for your fingers to touch (assuming your fingers aren't made of leather) and it will peal right off. I've recently done it with 360's Lost Planet. It left a lot of sticker goo but that cleaned off with lighter fluid just fine and nothing marred the top surface. I just hesitate to use a heat gun on the disk or case for worry of warping the plastic. Hair dryer is much safer.
+The Nostalgia Factor I have been able to remove them by using a thin plastic card to lift a small edge, then dripping WD40 and slowly maneuvering the card in between (there's actually a TH-cam video someone made demonstrating this technique) It requires a lot of patience but pays off in the end.
Robert Barker OK, so I went ahead and attempted to remove the disc-top label...I got it off! I then found that is was 1 of 2 (!!) labels Hollywood Video put on this disc...with the top label off, I went back to work and got the 2nd one off slowly...very slowly...it then left a NASTY residue on it...Goo Gone worked wonders and it was finally clean... 2 label removals later and I have a near mint copy of SotN black label...thanks!
For stickers use a blow drier on warm for a few seconds. It'll warm the adhesive up enough to where it peels right off. With no tearing. You have to be careful doing it when the sticker is on paper but it still works if you go slow enough.
Have you tried "job squad Sticker Remover"? I came across it in a discount store. It's just AU$2 (in Australia). It comes with a bottle of clear liquid that soaks into the sticker and the glue. It also comes with a plastic scraper. It works brilliantly for stickers on paper sleeves and plastic covers. I've also used it to remove holographic security stickers, including anti-theft metal and plastic stickers on the inside of covers. I've never tried it for metallic stickers on the paper sleeve, though. The sticker remover feels a bit oily, but it dries, leaving no residue and no marks of where it was. *The sticker remover, seems to be marketed as "151 Products Sticker Remover Kit", in the U.S.A. It comes in a blister pack, that hangs on a hook in shops.
+MetalJesusRocks Revenant and Thief were the two trapezoid boxed PC games that I USED to have. Ugh. Also, Gamestop seems to be the only one that is going to offer a physical copy of Insomniac's new game Song of the Deep.
For some reason I love Kelsey's laughter, it's simply adorable and that Kiki shirt is a plus! Get her on the show more please :) Oh and by the way it was cool to see one of your faves is Thief, that's one of the reasons I started loving thieves(and I can't stand the AC serie) when I was a kid!
my pet peeve is when you find used games whose cases look like they were thrown into a washing machine and had coffee dumped on, then given to their dog to go rip apart and bury in the yard
What boils my piss are the employees working behind the counter at my local retro game store who buy up all the rare, boxed Nintendo games. They buy them the moment they get traded in so customers don't have a chance of getting any of them. I happened to walk in three times on rare games getting sold to them. Moment I ask about those rare games the employee is like "nope you can't look at these, they are mine".
What bugs me is when a label on a cartridge is like all teared up, faded or unrecognizable wether it's on Ebay, at a Garage sale or anywhere else.... I always end up asking myself, what the hell happened with that game ? All you had to do is keep it in a safe place and use it only when you play, no need to put it in the oven or the toaster... Sometimes there's even some games where the label is completely missing... I mean, for real ? What made you remove it completely ? I try to always buy games with pristine label, even if it's more pricey.
I’ve noticed EB games now put stickers on the actual game disks here... and if they’ve been there for a while it’s almost impossible to remove without taking off the foil from the disk and rendering it unusable. Why??? Also, ordering from EB games online and opening the box to find the games don’t have their original cases sucks! They should TELL people what they’re buying beforehand.
One of my pet peeves in collecting games are when they are missing the original case and manual. Bugs me so much when I come across a game that I want but It is just the disc or just the 3DS/DS cartridge. Don't people take care of their games?!
SomeRandomGuy Not everyone has the space, my friend lives on a riverboat and has her large collection of 360 games in a binder because she has no space at all. It makes moving easier and so on. That's why. You can take care of your discs and carts without the box or case.
SomeRandomGuy I threw most of my cases as a kid and I highly regret it, back then the cardboard cases would break easily, and my child-self would rip game cases apart because I was too excited to properly open a case. Tbh, I do appreciate loose cartridges for some systems since it makes the games generally cheaper, and that way I can have a game I preserve (a cib or factory sealed) and still play the game without worrying about damage or wear.
I understand the gb,gba games but I feel the same way about the god damn ds games!!! At a local game store there is no a single CIB copy of any of the DS pokemon games!!!
The secret to removing any hard to get off stickers is "Rubber Cement Thinner" from a Graphic Design & Art Supply Store. It won't harm the Art, plastics or covers & works like magic.
GamingBuffaloHd Yeah, they started doing that at a later point, but at once point in time they would destroy the game by putting them on the inside. My Luigi's Mansion suffers from this problem. The shitty yellow stickers put on the inside of the spine. At least they learned how shitty it was later and started putting them on the outside.
@@pointless132 I just point out the fact they don't have a return policy where at least with Amazon I am somewhat protected, that's worth something. If I wanted to pay what Amazon is selling I'll buy on Amazon and have it the a couple days with Prime Shipping.
@@rapmastac1362 Good point. I guess you also take into consideration convenience then when talking about flea markets. As well as opportunity for less bidders if the item is rare.
I also think the same thing about stickers... the GameStop ones piss me off the most...no excuse for those!. But for the most part. I keep the stickers IFFFF they are from a garage sale, pawn shop, Craigslist etc. because it shows the history. May not be significant. But it shows the physical whereabouts of the game (What store you bought it from, price, and region) and the market at the time... people didn’t know this at this time and due to channels like yours (not saying it’s bad... I enjoy the helloutta your videos! I LOVE YOUR CHANNEL!!!!!!!! but channels like yours bring awareness to the video game collecting scene and makes things more relevant and In Turn more expensive...)(( a good example for me at least is... I’m a die hard Jurassic Park fan. Always have been, always will be! Anyways I had a pretty good grip on all the toy lines, collectibles, limited edition stuff, etc. collected up and then.... Jurassic world came out and made all the Jurassic Park stuff relevant again making prices sky rocket and supplies disappear due to the new release))But back to the physical games history (the game in question) that your buying. And for the engraving... same thing. It’s the games history. If you dont want that... dont buy it... (in my eyes... the person that engraved it was soooo proud of their game that they literally engraved it to say “hey this is my literal copy of this game and F OFF get your own copy”) save a little more and get a copy that YOU yourself are happy with.. not saying I dont agree with what they are saying but do what YOURSELF want as a collector. Edit: gosh dang... took me like 7 tries to get everything right lol but I hope someone out there understands me lol!!! Much love!!! Keep up the good work and even greater videos! Love you guys!
+Marco Ramos Agreed. A blowdryer works really well. I use a blowdryer combined with some sticker remover liquid (it's actually called 'Sticker Remover') to remove the residual glue.
even blowing hot air on it works alot of the time. mjr already started ripping the label but i but if he tried to heat it up a little it would have come off
I've got about the same amount of games that John Hancock does, and I've also been collecting about the same amount of time. I suppose in regards to stickers, that it is a nostalgia thing, and that is why older gamers like myself and John Hancock appreciate them. Moreover, if you've been collecting as long as I have, you also know that many stickers just fall off after a few decades, while some of course sadly never do. One of my huge pet peeves though with Gamestop is when they put the round sticker over the end of the game where it opens, so that you can't open it without removing the sticker. The crazy thing is, is that they don't put those stickers on until you are buying them. The goo and residue from those stickers is oftentimes pretty hard to clean off. In any case, enjoy your collection for what it is, and realize that the fun in collecting is the places you find your games, and the deals you make, and the people you meet while doing so. I have 7,500+ games, and some of my games are loose, some of them are boxed and some of them are factory sealed, but all of them add character to my collection. If you only had factory sealed games, or pristine box's, what does that really say about your collection besides you spent a LOT of money on them, and didn't look or shop around much. And besides, every game deserves a little bit of love.. right?
My Genesis, PS1, PS2, Xbox, GameCube, and Wii games are still in the original boxes. The same can't be said for some Genesis games, three out of four Saturn games (I only have Ten Pin Alley in the original case), and all the Super NES and Nintendo 64 games. And out of the PS1 library, there's only one loosie: Symphony of the Night. As for stickers, I usually just leave them on. I don't bother using Goo Gone with them, even if the game was once a rental copy. I like to think the stickers tell a story. You could have one game that used to sit in a Blockbuster, another where a neckbeard put Cheeto-stained labels on the cartridge/disc, and another cartridge that was engraved because it once sat in a drawer in a Hollywood Video. There's some GameCube games I have that still have GameStop price labels on them; it looks more like I'm in the store buying the games. Same with a couple PS1 games.
Limited releases are a piss off. I walked into a EB Games 2-3 weeks after Ar Tonelico Qoga came out for the PS3, and they were already sold out of it. They told me they only got 4 copys of the game that was less then a month old and werent even sure if they were getting any more copies in. Had to wait 4 yrs before I could find any copy of it local. Eventually I found a sealed special edition box set in a Pawn shop for $125 and I didnt think twice about buying it as the Ar Tonelico series for the ps2 is still selling at ridiculous prices even used. Though i did have a easier time finding a copy of Ar Nosurge for the PS3. Also for your information WD40 and Zippo Fluid work better then Glue Be Gone for removing stickers. And Mister Clean Dry Magic Eracers work great for getting rid of Sharpie from Cartridges.
omg thank you for saying this.. I wanted to get the last of us remastered when I got my ps4 so bad but had to wait forever to find an original box at a pawn shop to get it cuz I hate the greatest hits packaging lol
Lighter fluid, used sparingly, will absolutely remove the game stop stickers even when they are directly on the cover art. It will dissolve most adhesive glues used in stickers.
Not that its a current pet peeve, but my biggest worry with collecting last, current and future gen games is game patching and dlc. Eventually the servers for those functions aren't going to be there anymore... Some games had patches on release with critical bug fixes. It reminds me that I am never going to be able to play the Kola level DLC in Splinter Cell on the Original XBox. Or that someone is going to be stuck with an unplayable form of Skyrim for PS3, (I have the legendary edition which I am pleased to know is fully prepatched on disc). I am worried...
@@SimonTheGamer96 You can also get it from Official Xbox Magazine disc releases. I have a few of them with content for DOA3, Splinter Cell, Project Gotham, Toejam and Earl, there are a lot!
Those games that are torn apart are cool for restoration. I feel a really good sense of accomplishment when I remove the torn sticker, clean everything, put new stickers and make the copy brand new again.
I don't know if this has been said or not but a good way to get stickers off is to heat them with a lighter first. It makes the glue gooey again and they will usually peel right off. Record stores have the same problem when buying used CDs & Vinyl.
my one and only real pet peeve is greatest hits copies. I just hate the look of them. I have a few from christmas and birthdays and those green and red buggers stand out in all the wrong ways
I dunno. It really depends on the item. I mean if it's not worth much, and the person is planning on keeping it until the value increases that's one thing, but if it's a super rare one, and you don't want to risk damaging it you really shouldn't complain. For instance I collect guns, and while everyone loves to shoot machine guns(any old gun really) there are only a finite number left for civilians to own. As full auto guns made after 1986 are banned for civilian ownership. which makes AR-15 lower receivers or even just the auto sear worth somewhere from 25-100k. At which point that thing has become an investment, and nobody should complain about you keeping it locked in a safe when there are much cheaper full auto guns like the mac-10 that go for around 3-7k. Now I understand guns are a lot different than games what with their amount of moving parts, but electronics still degrade overtime unless cared for well. Now I'm not aware, but would there be any reason why they SHOULD be played like for instance with vehicles most will degrade if they aren't stored properly, and started up from time to time to make sure none of the parts seize up.
TheTrueDecepticreep you're not a collector then lol. While I do agree playing the games is one of the biggest points, it's also about preserving gaming history. I collect mostly Gameboy- gameboy advance, n64, and gamecube stuff. I have all of the pokemon, zelda, and castlevania games for the gameboys either CIB or even factory sealed. I buy cheap loose cartridges to play the games, since opening a factory sealed or wearing a very good conditioned cartridge will loose me a shit ton of money as well as take the already low amount of factory sealed games from existence lol. It's not all about playing the game, but owning it as well as enjoying the art, etc...
Getting Nerd Shamed when I buy the occasional Sports Game gets old. Can't I like Darth Vader and the UFC? I can walk into a random GameStop wearing a Skeletor shirt looking for a copy of Syphon Filter and get treated like family. Alternatively, I can walk in wearing a Rocky Marciano shirt buying NBA Street just for Shits-n-Tickles and get treated like my intelligence is stiver. I like lifting weights, football is awesome, and I'm waaay too excited for the next Guardians of the Galaxy movie. The world needs more Hybrid Meathead Nerds!
I remove all stickers. Unless it says 1 dollar for a great game. Another piss off is when you find a game for 25 bucks and are super proud. Then see the same title at 2 bucks second hand store style. Sad.
For taking out stickers, use a hot hair blower to melt the glue inside the sticker. Just peel off a little bit with you nail and apply the hot blower for a few seconds, and start peeling, rinse and repeat.
i guess my point is, when i made this comment, there are few of those types of comments. most people were simply anticipating them. i found that to be complimentary to MJR's fanbase.
I can almost always get stickers off, even those Game Stop ones. What frustrates me most is how often NES sleeves are missing and manuals in general. How do these things disappear? I keep my cartridge AND manual in the sleeve at all times unless in use.
Yeah I've had good luck taking those game stop stickers off spines. I used to use a halogen lamp to heat them up. I never understood the entire "goo gone" craze these people seem to have. Stickers come off best with heat, and glue residue is easily cleaned up with 91% rubbing alcohol. No greasy residue, no orange smell, cheap and effective as a general purpose cleaner for everything too. You can take a towel damp with it to remove the residue even on glossy printed covers or booklets. Something you'd never want to do with googone.
I would never use 91% alcohol on any label or printed material. I save that for plastics and contacts. I use 50% in labels if needed because 91% can do a number on the ink, something I found out by when I accidentally picked up the wrong damp cotton ball cleaning an N64 cartridge.
.Me it's the prices on Ebay, sellers are ridiculous! Example they're selling Duke Nukem 64 for fucking 50$. The next day I went to my local market where they sell old games and they were selling the same game for 21,99$ I bought it. And last thing but it's everyone Mario games are OVERPRICES! Like jesus christ those games are the MOST popular games, sold by millions of copies yet Mario Tennis on n64 they're selling it like a Conker Bad Fur Day. I hate that greedy ass "business"
@@ingeniuses2247 i was tired of arguing with Ebay seller so i just quit searching my games on that site and a week after in I Found a Guy Who was selling Mario Tennis 64, Super Smash 64, Mario Kart 64 and 007 GoldenEye. I ask him if hé could make me a Price for that bundle and his Price was 110$ so basically 27.50$ each game. That was worth it and they're all in great condition. Some Ebay sellers can suck it! I remember one of them told me I Will never find Mario tennis under 50$ lol PS sorry the mistakes im on my phone and its hard to write in English
@@waitwho3074 Agree. I get that a lot. People tell me I will never find a game for cheaper than his or her asking price and sure enough, days later I find the exact same game for pennies on the dollar.
@@ingeniuses2247 The worst thing is they know their prices are hideous but they keep comparing their prices with other prices on Ebay. So in their mind they think they offer something good. "pricecharting" is pretty accurate site for comparing prices on almost everything so it's easy to track if an item is listed correctly or not. Well I wish you a happy hunting if your collection is not finish.
@@waitwho3074 Yes, I completely agree and I am being very honest about this. I actually have a few videos on my channel titles "WTF in Video pricing" and I clearly state and recommend people to go consult "pricecharting" I use this site ALL the time. I'm very glad we are on the same page. I also just recently posted a video "Guide to Retro Game Collecting...." feel free to check those videos out. Until next time, take care friend. :D
I can totally relate. I'm not really a game collector, but I do collect DVDs and Blu-Rays (and some classic VHS movies). Ex-hire videos always have terrible alphabet stickers and video library stickers stuck right onto the paper insert. Inside the plastic case, there is usually an RF video library sensor sticker. Those usually come off with special glue remover, but not if they case is very old. The problem is even worse with book exchanges, who usually use an ink stamp to mark the inside of the book cover. I have several old, out of print, books, that have slightly ruined by book store's graffiti stamps.
I know this is an old video and all, but for the sticker part on old, big box PC games, there is a way to remove it without damaging the box itself (ripping the art off, etc.), I just tested it with my Return to Castle Wolfenstein The Platinum Edition box (it had a price sticker on it) and the sticker came off easliy and without leaving any glue residue :). How to Remove Stickers from Cardboard : 1) Dip cotton balls in rubbing alcohol and place them on the sticker. 2) Insert the tip of a razor beneath the corner of the sticker; make sure the sticker and surrounding cardboard is still saturated. 3) Carefully lift the corner of the sticker until it's completely removed. I dont't know if this solution works with stickers on the plastic sleeves that are on console games (PS2/PS3, etc.)
+Ted Soto Also great for removing the dirt off of the contact boards on cartridge games (nes/snes/genesis/etc). (start with rubbing alchohol to clean surface stuff, then go to the magic eraser...between the 2, you can save 98% of all cartridge games and keep them playing for years and years to come).
my other pet peeve is when people get too proud of their video games charging them impossibly high prices. After seeing some of my favorite games costing triple and quadruple digit prices, this is when I started looking at making a ROM station.
I also love when games have stickers or writing on them, I feel like they add so much flavour!! Some of my N64 cartridges have video store rental stickers or numbers written in marker and I really like it 😅
She’s really respectful and her hair is wavy and all but I wouldn’t date her with that beard.
Brennan Mudd lol
Hahahaha
That’s good, clever

Alright this is good lol
I hate Gamestop charging the same price for games without the og case or instructions. No.
Nobody? There are literally tens of thousands of retro stores that sell PS1 and then there's eBay.
hitachicordoba yeah GameStop has no appreciation for game collectors and nostalgic purchasing.
Maia Jones thumbs up for the awesome grammar and spelling mistakes!
There's Gamestop sticker on my copy of "Monster Jam: Urban Assault" that cuts off the letters so the spine reads "Monster Jam: Urban Ass"
Beautiful
I would humbly pay top dollar for that.
Never take that off 😂😂
Literally the only instance where this is acceptable.
@don't care I bought it like 10 years ago as a kid. I don't think it's based off anything. Actually a really good game though. Hidden gem.
Yup !
Yup.. I used to see chibi robo for 20$ on eBay and right when I get a GameCube and I wanna get it.. 120$+
No entirely their fault but it sure adds up to the cost. When ever a game is considered "rare" by these collectors it jacks up the price.
Thats byfar the worst
There's a guy near my community that goes to ever garage sale possible, at the crack of dawn and beats everyone else..
He's a reseller on Ebay. Hate that guy..
Albs G yes, hate the guy who isn't the lazy shit.
Those people are annoying.
Yup. Shit always gets sold, sometimes HOURS before the sale is supposed to start. No early birds my ass.....
Albs G somebody should kill him!!!
Pffff that's seriously a b*tch of a seller.. Hate that
Haha, atleast you didn’t have your seller send you a bunch of trash Wii accessories and claim they mixed a copy of pokemon yellow with that at the post office. Atleast I got my money back but it was free shipping... Luckily pokemon yellow isn’t too expensive.
@@satireofcomedy yeah damn I feel your pain, man
This happened to me with 1st edition books before but it was "I dropped them in a puddle" it was the middle of summer, unreal
I always report them for that. All of that could be avoided if they just set a price and that’s it,don’t do an auction.
My pet peeve: Fake GBA copies on eBay.
Here's a tip, don't use ebay. It can never be trusted, a huge inconvenience for collectors of all kinds.
Extra Deluxe YES IM MAD I GOT A FAKE AND ITS NOT EVEN FROM EBAY. ITS FROM GAMESTOP ONLINE
What the fake 150 games on one cartridge?
I have mother 3 in English so I know it's fake
Fake Gba games on CeX
Oh man, the people on craigslist and eBay who want ABOVE retail price for their games really tick me off.
+John Butch My favorite is when they sell the game above the price of the sticker that is on the case.
+John Butch I usually knock off $10 off the games I sell on Kijii/C-list.
Keeps people coming back and they're more likely to cut you a deal or let you know when they come across stuff you collect.
Mine may be super petite, but Greatest hits, platinum hits, players choice etc on the cover art. Also GameStop selling “NEW” opened games.
i hate when people use permanent marker on cartridges.
I had an n64 game with a name literally carved into it.
Rubbing Alcohol or Hairspray with Alcohol in it
There are _markers_ and then there are _permanent_ markers ...
Tell them and they'll sell it at pre owned price.
@@mario6279 they tried the same thing with me, so I said fuck that and went somewhere else.
Offff
Huge pet peeve of mine! I contested them saying it's not like it would wear out being in a console vs sitting in a sleeve. Any other retailer would give you at least 10% off the display model. I was by a Target so I called them while I was in store and they had the game and it was on sale for $5 less. Told them that and walked out.
My pet peeve is the classic going in to find anything good and all you see are sports games.
Sega Saturn collectors across the US curse the name of Bernie Stolar for this very reason! xD
The original MRjguill For real fuck sports video games.
Sports games are good for getting spare cases. Every now and then I'll get a couple and just toss the game and cover art.
Yep...Yep...
Just Keep an eye out for NCAA 2k3 For the GameCube lol 😂
Hate it when local thrift stores have a bunch of young people working in the back that receive the donations. 90% of the good stuff never makes it to the shelves. :(
Marco Fabro really? I got a working PS1 for $10
Awesome. Congrats!
I got an Original Xbox with cables and a controller for $15 at a Goodwill.
Found a N64, controller and banjo tooie for under $10 at goodwill.
Found a blank check for a million dollars for $10, worked great.
+sandplasma This hurts a lot to know.
+sandplasma I just picked up a copy of ocarina of time N64 for $10 at goodwill. It doesn't happen very often, but every once in a while you'll find a gem in there at a discounted price
+the bootcamp considering they were "donated" the item and its a company that makes 100% on the items they sell, I'd say you were ripped off.
+the bootcamp I got OoT for 8$ 😈
+sandplasma I found a great deal once - a new looking SNES + donkey kong country (the games store next door just failed)...$25 for everything..
+Metalman200xdamnit it sucks man! most of us grew up with physical copies and its kind of sad to see that digital dowloaded games are the norm...
Rick Astley
I know. I like a physical copy in my hand. I like being able to take it with me if I am going to someone's house to play it. I like the fact that it is a physical copy means I own it.
+Rick Astley i pretty sure it was mentioned on the box or something that they were the digital ones
does this really work. cause i have a few of the old green eb stickers still stuck on my cases, and i want them off.
Sure does. Give it a shot and get back with us on your results :)
Ray G
i will have to give that a try. never really thought of it. thanks so much man. i am very anal about my cases being clean.
lol I hear ya me to. Must be gamer OCD or something
0:14 Something in Kelsey’s tone when she said “I could probably list 20” made me laugh sooo hard
I saw Mario All Stars at a flea market and asked how much they were selling it for........ $80 because it has 4 games......... Right
It's only worth 80 if it's the one that includes super mario world
Joseph P bet it was sun bleached
🤣
Better not tell them about Wii Family Party with 90 games in it! By their logic that would be worth $1,800
Saw a guy at a flea market who had a very nice N64 Collection for sale, but each game was ebay price. The cheapest game was $50.

People damaging their cardboard boxes, it hurts my soul
Nintendo games prices in general. Infuriating.
jgallag90 why? they are the cheaper here in Italy (49€ instead of 75€ of a PS4 or a Xbox one game)
Nintendo intentionally doesnt drop any prices on their hardware and recommends MSRP do the same to games whenever possible- which is why NEW Nintendo games for the Wii U and Wii (re-releases) don't drop in price. That artificially keeps the secondary market of games at a high level too. If they didnt do this, then the demographic of Wii and Wii U Games (for example) that was rare and/or valuable would be completely different.
jgallag90 simple don't buy Nintendo they suck anyway
The fact that gamestop throws out DS game cases destroys my hopes of ever getting complete in box rare games :L
@@MintyFarts people all need to start refusing an open game as new until they stop doing that shit. if it's not factory sealed, it's not new.

I don't know why so many people have games for sale that are disk only. like where did the case and manual go?? who opens a game and just chucks the box?????
+RedPillorBluePill I admit I did it a lot as a kid. I generally regret it - and most older games just came in cardboard, which meant that they either got stepped on or destroyed.
bast it...why !?!?! why would you do such a thing. YOU are a strange one. lol hahaha

Lol. I don't do it now, but I love my SNES collection too much to leave them in their cardboard boxes. :)
yeah i get it with the cartridge games. on flip; side it amazes me that there are so many nes, snes, and n64 still boxed around. discs though...there is no excuse
Having to move quickly is usually a culprit. Also, lending out a game and someone breaks the case, or you break the case yourself. The plastic they used back in the day was easy to crack if was cold, and stores like Walmart don't heat the backrooms.
I like the stickers if it's on old shop that's closed down now
Same.
EB games, CompUSA, Circuit City.
Zestypanda What? EB games hasn't closed down... :/
philip spiroff They have for 99% of America. Yes, some locations got bought by Gamestop but most closed.
Charity shops are a total ripoff now which is such a shame.
I personally haven't came across that problem its almost the opposite for me for example I got hold of star wars knights of the old republic for a £1.
It is becoming increasingly difficult to collect games, maybe I'll get into knitting... ;)
+Robin Bill The most I've ever payed for games in charity shops is about £1 to £2. Well I'd be willing to go up to a fiver maximum.
Here in the UK i have to get PC games from Amazon..the game shops used to sell them..sometimes i can find one in a charity shop (thrift store)...its annoying...but also exciting to find them...(Big Fish and Black Lime hidden object games)
MetalJesus has such an amazing personality, one of the most friendliest sounding people I’ve watched. Respect lol🙏🏼🙏🏼
generic cases bug me. i will pay more for the same game eith the orginial box art

yup or gamestops or said retailers case. i hate the way they look on my shelf. I like to present them and when one looks out of place it ruins the whole thing it for me lol
No they don't. Gamestop gives you the same price whether the box is in perfect condition or if you don't have the box at all and it's just a loose disc. The only reason they give you a lower price is if the game itself is damaged.
www.gamestop.com/trade/quote/xbox-one/games/overwatch-origins-edition/126701
Right there at the bottom of any trade-in value search, and I can confirm this because I've traded in a game without the box. If you're getting less, someone at Gamestop is trying to swindle you.
I have a copy of paper Mario ttyd without a box I got from gamestop's for 15 one time. . .now its 60 dollars:/
C .Jacobsen it’s kids man they’re dirty fuckers
Greetings from Scotland. .I buy and sell hifi and it's the same for that..amplifiers with gunk all over the switch gear etc speakers with rings on top I could go on...don't just blame the kids...some folks are filthy...when someone buys from me I want them to open the box to a super clean second hand product...I have all the playstations. .all mint ..I'd go nuts otherwise lol

Right?! I just want to tear it off her...mmm
For me it's when they don't tell you it's the Greatest Hits version and the only picture is a stock one of the black label version. That's how I ended up with the GH version of Ni no Kuni.
+cptnoremac I hate getting the Greatest Hits version of any game on any console. Thankfully at my local friendly retro game store, the owner lets me swap them out for the black label/original print of the game for no charge.
just report them to the site they are using becuase that is against the terms of service.
RC Cola
It was Glyde, and the only option they had was a button saying it's what they described and one saying it wasn't, with no way to say what was wrong.
RC Cola
Yeah, it's stupid. Some sellers should just be put to sleep.
i used to work for GS and I refused to put the sticker on the artwork, we would actually leave the sticker still adhered to the roll paper, and just wedge it into the spine
Random Assault Podcast you're a saint ♡
So glad you mentioned the Game stop sticker. Those stickers are the bane of my game collection!
I hate when people write their name on NES/SNES/N64 cartridges.
Thanks Ebay!!
sohchx You sound like a socialist. "I hate people that sell something at it's proper price because I can't rip them off" shut up already.
Says the guy getting ripped off by Uber. No, you are thinking of capitalism.
Thanks TH-camrs lol
As a former (very short term) GS employee I apologize for having to apply those horrid stickers.
+Balin Howell You were doing your job,we do not blame you.
Why did corporate require sticking them onto the actual covet art?

Probably to keep kids from tearing them off.

The "pyramide PC boxes". Those are all published by EIDOS right?
Correct! I'm still missing a few of the trapezoid boxes...
+MetalJesusRocks what games MJR ?
I do have some trapezoid boxed pc games ?
+MetalJesusRocks Revenant and Thief were the two trapezoid boxed PC games that I USED to have. Ugh.
Also, Gamestop seems to be the only one that is going to offer a physical copy of Insomniac's new game Song of the Deep.
+L1 Gaming I loved Revenant. use to own the big box as well
+L1 Gaming Game stop is funding the development like xenoblade
For some reason I love Kelsey's laughter, it's simply adorable and that Kiki shirt is a plus! Get her on the show more please :)
Oh and by the way it was cool to see one of your faves is Thief, that's one of the reasons I started loving thieves(and I can't stand the AC serie) when I was a kid!
my pet peeve is when you find used games whose cases look like they were thrown into a washing machine and had coffee dumped on, then given to their dog to go rip apart and bury in the yard
That Kiki's Delivery Service shirt is flippin' AWESOME.
I just noticed that
What boils my piss are the employees working behind the counter at my local retro game store who buy up all the rare, boxed Nintendo games.
GameDjeenie oh my exactly I've owned hundreds of games not one is ruined I don't understand
I hate stickers on cases, and i also hate missing manuals. ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH.
Solo Gals me too
I alway check an unboxing video of that specific game just to see if it came with a manual
91% Isopropyl Alcohol works great for taking stickers off plastic/metal.
I throw away my cases and keep the manuals and covers in a seperate bag in storage. The discs are in binders for safe keeping saves a ton of room.
Does she just throw away the cases?
I understand the gb,gba games but I feel the same way about the god damn ds games!!! At a local game store there is no a single CIB copy of any of the DS pokemon games!!!
The secret to removing any hard to get off stickers is "Rubber Cement Thinner" from a Graphic Design & Art Supply Store. It won't harm the Art, plastics or covers & works like magic.
+vinniecorleone62 Interesting, thanks for the suggestion. Would they be available in hobby stores?
It's probably just at Art Supply stores as it's for Graphic Designers.
*****
Thanks.
thanks snake !!!
although it's weird getting a tip on video games from someone who lives in a world without electricity .... but thanks !!
+vinniecorleone62 lucky me. my college carries rubber cement thinner.
THOSE MOTHER FUCKING YELLOW GAMESTOP STICKERS ON THE SPINE! FUCK GAMESTOP! THEY RUINED MY LUIGI'S MANSION CASE!
My biggest pet peeve all the local flea markets even the ones in the city all rely on Amazon eBay pricing
sounds like you are just mad you can't rip anyone off and sell it on amazon yourself
If they sold it on Amazon or ebay they would get significantly less with fees, taxes, shipping. Thats 25%-40% of the price!
7:52 Metal Jesus sounds like a villager.
Yes he does 😁
Lmao
Great Video! Using a blow dryer on a sticker is one of the best ways to remove it!
+Marco Ramos Agreed. A blowdryer works really well. I use a blowdryer combined with some sticker remover liquid (it's actually called 'Sticker Remover') to remove the residual glue.
Use furniture polish then wait then should come off
+Marco Ramos WD40 or deodorant work a treat, I wouldn't recommend it on cardboard boxes though, should be okay but I wouldn't do it.
even blowing hot air on it works alot of the time. mjr already started ripping the label but i but if he tried to heat it up a little it would have come off
Can't wait for all the creepy comments...

+Hugh Heff Not you, but definitely others...

Are the Greatest Hits covers a pet peeve for you guys?
Ikr, I am also really picky
i hate greatest hits
Tomás Delizia the only time i care is if its a game i absolutely cherish.
The worst is player's choice for gamecube. If it's on your shelf with other GC games, it's yellow and black, and they clash horribly
omg thank you for saying this.. I wanted to get the last of us remastered when I got my ps4 so bad but had to wait forever to find an original box at a pawn shop to get it cuz I hate the greatest hits packaging lol
Missing booklets. Every single game I buy secondhand from a certain shop NEVER has the booklets. Do they only accept games with no booklets?
A lot of stores like gamestop for instance throws away the manuals and booklets. No idea why.
@@funnyguy5516 Why would you even need them? All of those game manuals are on the internet. Just print them if you want to read them.
@@gohan12991 It's part of the collection to own the manual. Example being that certain games worth more with the manual.
I care more about having the case than the manual sure it's cool to have the manual but I really don't give an F

Love these Kelsey and MJ videos because MJ is so fidgety and awkward standing next to her haha.
Why isn't there more women like Kelsey in this world???
There are, but I guess they're taken haha. My GF and I have started a game collection too, she's a pure nintendo freak. :)
Dont flatter yourself bro. 😂😂😂😂

I play video games with my gf almost every day, so there are more women like Kelsey
Whenever I goto a car boot sale I take my Supaboy S so I can test the games right there in front of the seller.
2:30 I agree with John Hancock. My NES box has a Kaybee Toys sticker on it. That's so cool!
Lighter fluid, used sparingly, will absolutely remove the game stop stickers even when they are directly on the cover art. It will dissolve most adhesive glues used in stickers.
Love your shirt Kelsey! Kiki's delivery service is my fave!
I love this video. Can't even describe how much most of this stuff annoys me.
Also.... Kelsey's derp face in the thumbnail made me laugh XD
You can get all the DLC for Splinter Cell if you have the Rainbow Six 3 Companion Demo Disc.
@@SimonTheGamer96 You can also get it from Official Xbox Magazine disc releases. I have a few of them with content for DOA3, Splinter Cell, Project Gotham, Toejam and Earl, there are a lot!
Heat gun stickers on boxes and cover art. I've done this with both. Use some pointed tweezers to slowly lift the sticker while still applying heat.
Those games that are torn apart are cool for restoration. I feel a really good sense of accomplishment when I remove the torn sticker, clean everything, put new stickers and make the copy brand new again.
love this channel!
+Cássio Renan thanks!!!
MetalJesusRocks I bet that's not a pet peeve no more with the big box pc games right metal Jesus you got a bunch
I must be a bad game collector.
I just like games that work.
Sarcasm aside this was an interesting vid, MetalJesusRocks!
Where is Kelsey's store? I'd like to visit it sometime.
+oodamnagain Seattle
MetalJesusRocks to be more specific the university district and the other store is in the international district
I hate most stickers on boxes, but the CompUSA sticker I like since it's dated - that is where a sticker does show the history.
Pet peeve of mine: when people buy multiple copies of a game. One to keep sealed and one to play. Argh! They're games. They're meant to be played!
TheTrueDecepticreep tell that to the people have have sealed copies of Pokemon red and blue on eBay for $600
TheTrueDecepticreep it's like buying two sandwiches when you go to an out of state restaurant. One to eat and one to just look at.
K Po not really, you try sell that sandwich for more or show it off to someone else 20 years down the line. It wont go well.

@@SumDumGy Good tip, I'll pick up some lower concentration for more delicate work like that just to be on the safe side.

How to Remove Stickers from Cardboard :
1) Dip cotton balls in rubbing alcohol and place them on the sticker.
Hastings!!! I miss them so much!!!
use a hair dryer or lightly cover the sticker in goo gone.

+N- PUT And "Magic Eraser" from Mr. Clean are great for sharpie marks.
Can we get a video of the milk boxes or step stools MJR's guests stand on?
Leonid Denisenko she’s trying to not fall off it
my other pet peeve is when people get too proud of their video games charging them impossibly high prices.
After seeing some of my favorite games costing triple and quadruple digit prices, this is when I started looking at making a ROM station.
HAHA 2:20. She's standing right next to him looking at him and he's like "DUDE..." Lol
I also love when games have stickers or writing on them, I feel like they add so much flavour!! Some of my N64 cartridges have video store rental stickers or numbers written in marker and I really like it 😅
U nuts
