Another great vid. And what a great job E did swinging the cam. I like the two cam option. You are going to have a full production crew soon. Now I just want to take my taco out and play

Everett liked getting to help, so when he wants to , we'll have new angles coming up on our upcoming adventures. You'll definitely have to take your taco here. It's a pretty fun trail!

Thanks! He was excited to try. I think if he wants to, we'll be doing more trails like this in the future.

Its fun to watch you guys do this with the same truck as I have, but also makes it "I want to tag along" so both our trucks can do it.

I have a '24 ZR2 I picked up mid March, and took it to Moab for 3-1/2 days in April with just 750mi on it. I definitely wanted the 360deg cameras, but DIDN'T want the underbody cameras for the exact reasons you're mentioning. I "think" they have a washer for the underbody lens bot to me, by the time they see anything, you're already ON the obstacle, so the made no sense to me. And of course I'd worry about smashing them (expensive). The front camera DOES give you basically zero depth perception, I learned that too, just not to quite that degree. So, knowing that, caution is the order of the day. I too find it's best use is probably seeing over the crest of a steep hill. The bottom entrance to Hideout Canyon after Onion Creek being a prime example, as that one is pretty sketchy! I always run solo (no spotters), so, the 360deg cameras were a big help to me, especially me being an offroad noob. One you learn how to use them and their limitations, they help a lot. Nice trail and vid, I'll have to check it out next time I'm there.
EDIT: Also, I always wheel with the windows and moonroof closed by the AC on as needed, and even then I carry a couple clean Swiffer duster refills, so I can dust off the interior, especially the center touchscreen, without putting pressure on it and scratching it with that fine Moab dust/grit. Get all that off of it, THEN use Windex. Also, I carry a spray bottle of Invisible glass to wash the camera lenses off. Make sure you get ALL the grit sprayed off first before you use a soft kleenex or something or you'll scratch the lens. Dunno if the lenses are replaceable or whether you need to replace the entire camera..

The under-body cameras have been useless for us. We took the ZR2 on another trail recently, and it made things look terrible and scary. The wash works well on them for about 2 seconds, and then they get dusty. We haven't damaged them yet, but it's always in the back of our mind. The front camera was a little more useful the other day, but the lighting does have to be right. If the light is wrong, you can't see the shadows off the rocks, and everything looks flat.
You're right about the screen! They apparently scratch really easily. We will be adding a protective cover soon to keep the fine dust from being a problem.
You will definitely have to check out this trail. It's super fun and keeps you from getting bored.
