Just keep trying no matter how impossible it is. Your a tough person and you definitely got this!!
Unironically what helped me overcome my porn addiction was just not watching it or engaging in it. Now granted I did have some help too. I blocked sites that gave me access to Hentai/Porn and other explicit videos/gifs/images and dropped sites that I don't want exposing me to it again (Reddit & Twitter) but what most likely helped me was just telling myself, "I'm not going to spank my shit". Word for Word. Simply not engaging with masturbation ended the cycle of being downbad and helped me regain control over my urges. Been clean since Jan 1st and been happier ever since.
Perhaps because there's nothing else that could make it harder for you to let go of it, like: - you likely have a partner you needed in life and left life with a parent behind - you likely moved out from your old location - your lifestyle is healthier and free from "idc as long as it passes time" - you have your own decision making with no legal attachment that could prevent it Which are things that I lack and as a result, the addiction lives on. Only fulfilling them can get me rid of addiction, so that there's no reason for it to come back 😔
“It’s not a just about abstaining from something, it’s about filling the void with something meaningful” great line. that makes a lot of sense. it’s like, sometimes when i’m indulging in stuff for the sole purpose of getting dopamine, i actually feel empty inside and it’s like i’m trying desperately to fill that void and feel like i’m having fun. and it’s also really cool that connecting with people is the opposite of addiction, because personally when i’m consuming content it kinda feels like it’s just a lot more potent for my brain if it’s created by someone i know
Thank you for making videos on this topic. I have been struggling since i was 13 years old and im almost 25. I joined a sex addiction 12 step and had almost 3 months of sobriety but relapsed recently and have been on a binge. Im gonna finish watching this right now and get back on the wagon. Thank you ❤
Even though I have never watched porn before, I feel like this topic needs to be covered more. There is a suprisingly high number of people who are addicted and want to be freed from their shackles.
I have quite a lot of discipline, not enough for this apparently. I can set up and execute strict schedules and diets/exercises. Why am I still failing against my addiction?
You do not need discipline to quit the addiction, many try to quit by using just their willpower and eventually fail. As a matter of fact, discipline will only make the addiction WORSE. You must deconstruct your false beliefs about p* and come to the conclusion that you DON'T want to watch anymore. That's how you quit. Look up the EasyPeasy Method if you want a real solution.
Gotta acknowledge that it’s a problem first and replace it with meaningful activities and hobbies, and find new offline connections in the process. I know it’s all easier said than done, but seek help if you can. Life is hard when you are enslaved by pixels on a screen, once you’re free from that, life’s challenges become more bearable to deal with.
Honestly, the aspect of community is the most important one on this list. I had an unhealthy relationship with one of my sexual kinks... but when I connected to a community who shared the same kink, I quickly learned from others that it isn't the fantasy that you should invest yourself in, but the possibility of sharing your desire/interest with another person. Other people, and especially partners, bring infinitely more fulfillment to your life, no matter how deep you think you've gone down a sexually deviant road
I'm a minor facing this problem....i was introuduced to this stuff when i was 10 or something. I still can't stop watching these things for some reason.. i have really good parents who really care for me and love me and i dont wanna let them down...so ill try the methods you suggested. Thank you !
You’re not letting them down. You’re only letting yourself down. Quit for yourself and your sanity. They don’t tell you this but a lot of mental issues (ADHD, anxiety, OCD) are worsened.
This is some really solid advice. I myself have taken the steps to reducing the habits that are most unhealthy for me and thankfully I'm already on a good track. This negative habit isn't nearly as difficult to break as let's say smoking would be. 😊
It has to start with the right mindset. If it comes from a place of deprivation, it will eventually lead to failure. They key is to question the urge. Stop for a minute and ask ourselves: Why do I want it so much? what will i get out of it? I'm not depriving myself of anything by not watching it. Depriving = Going against what we innately want by fighting it. It's much more effective to question the urge and let it pass naturally. A part of the journey is to rebuild our preferences. Find things we prefer more in environments outside cyberspace. The urge = That we want to do it. Questioning WHY we want to do it so much with a critical mind can help reduce that urge quickly.
Every day and night it’s a constant cycle of it and I cave into it every. Single. Time. And it’s affected my life so much. Every day I eat and eat with no limits and I’ve became obese and I just needed to break free from that one link that I got sent and I was just about to click on it but this single video popped up while trying to find it. Thank you for this video I was about to go back in but you helped me break free from the link. I deleted the link and I hope tomorrow I can have a good day at church knowing I stood up and broke free from the thing that always leads me to the sin of lust❤❤✝️
I wanna be honest, I'm mostly stressed. It's becoming way I'm coping, cause I can't really tell my problems to others I've been completely lonely and left to be forced to be independent.
Try Journaling ur thoughts or feelings it helps to get it off ur mind and heart, maybe yoga or speak to God like His ur friend knowing His listening and wants to help u and make u feel better ❤
I have written down on a secret place of a constant reminder to do a puzzle book whenever there is any sensation, I sincerely hope this works, and thanks for the video!
As I’ve been trying to quit for awhile, here’s some stuff that I’ve found: Works: Actively asking myself “do I really need to?” Weighing the pros and cons (Will this make me happy? Or will I have another crushing PNC and be sad?) Recognizing what made me want to do it in the first place. Doesn’t work: Going cold turkey. Trying to “compromise” with myself, as it just leads to the same thing. Building a habit of doing it.
Thank you! I grew up on a yime where we couldnt use phones to even do this. You had your imagination. Im glad that I have been able to let that addiction go. My dreams seem more vivid when I use my imagination more as well. And im more calm when I wake up.

it might sound kinda cheesy, but one thing I've found along my journey that helped a LOT was using quitting as a way to prepare myself for a potential romantic connection. I figured I didn't wanna look at anything NSFW unless it came from someone I had legitimate feelings for, or be with someone who didn't share that same mindset; I also wanted to make sure that whoever came around was gonna get to meet a better version of me than what I was before I started tryna take control over my vices. it kinda created a tangible end result I could keep my eyes on

Guys the best tip is to somehow make yourself disgusted to it... Heres a toxic tip.... 1)make yourself stressed enough or occupied enough that u cant think about things like this 2)when u feel this way go talk to your friends and avoid talking about this topic or consuming content which triggers you...after a while it wont faze you anymore 3) instead of opening the website try shut down your phone and put it away...this personally helped me a lot And know that theres nothing wrong with you...and that u can do it I believe in u stranger 💫
i struggle with p0rn and selfharm but we arnt talking abt that, anyway i have a severe porn addiction becuase i was exposed to it as a young young child (like 4) i just started watching it and its been years i still cant get over it its so hard.
That's why I'm kinda glad that I'm a small time Twitch streamer because I know I need to keep the show going on stream so I just keep streaming my game until the urge goes away. It's my way of "Fortifying my defenses" and keeping my mind off of porn.
Great video for everyone's, because PORN is everywhere. Remember, recovery is a process, and it's essential to be patient and kind to yourself along the way. Stay committed to your goals and celebrate the progress you make, no matter how small.
I had a porn addiction for a while now but when I started doing this I actual started gaining the ideas I needed for the story of the porn i was writing! I was so happy the arc was finished and now its time to move on to the next writing project.
i’m late asf but dude getting to stop watching porn is fucking mission impossible. i started at 10 and still watching it almost every day atleast twice a day. i’ve been trying to stop for so long but it’s so tempting
This is a bit complicated matter to solve, as my porn addiction has more branches then a singular website and I even managed to sympathized with couple of people that either do said activity on minor occasions, or as "2nd layer content" (one which I'm frankly too broke or too busy to pay for). Including my ol' gal Rune 😔🖤 It's something that is easy to let go on paper, but if the additional factors are not dealt with (life style, quality of household, surrounding environment, country of living...), it will always come back as result of lack of progress / boredom

The problem is it's too accessible. A drug addict still has to go buy the drugs, porn addiction is like having infinite crack in your pocket at all times.

Porn addiction is such an issue. It's also so hard to quit, it's always available, always. Imagine trying to quit alcohol and always having a flask of Whiskey in your back pocket. It's legit ruined my life and being isolated and depressed makes it almost impossible to fight against.
Think the reason why I struggle so much with relapsing is because I feel so isolated with a fetish of mine. Connecting with others who share the same fetish as me has helped me feel like I’m not so alone with it, but I also think it’s caused me to relapse more often too because since I’m not experiencing it in real life, the next best thing is for me to watch videos of people engaging in what I’m into…

Haha..came...... ok i should watch this video cuz of that.
Me too
I had a bad addiction, but then one day I got a bible and started to read it whenever I had the feeling I was going to do something irrational and it has truly helped, and from this I have felt better in every way and closer to god ❤
I will apply this method, thank u❤
Thank you I have a feeling this will help ❤
Thank you
I will apply this, thank you but I'm worried I will get more darker emotion of guilt
That's how I was able to quit pursuing religion is a good way to quit that stuff especially since religions especially Christianity do not allow you to do stuff like that
I'm a minor struggling with the same issue. I don't have many friends at school and I can't talk to anyone about it either. I really want to stop but every night I find myself doing it again. I want to stop and I want to spend my time on more productive things and I'm going to try super hard this time to not do it often. I'm going to set realistic goals but be strict about it at the same time. Thank you Psych2go for making this video. ❤
How is it going now?

@@centurian-thedarkone6035 ofc they do... After all, at the end of the day, smart people are also people. Humans have carnal and lustful desires installed in their brains. It is not something you can just ignore.

To be honest the industry making the videos is like cigarette industry back in the day they tried to get kids hooked for more money that's why they have not added ID checking to make sure people are actually not minors

One day in. It felt so, incredibly good to check off that first day from my calendar. I’m gonna keep going. For my family, for my friends, for God, and for me.
I’ve stopped watching it since 2022, but I ended up accessing it once a month or so. Now I haven’t consumed it at all since November of last year. My plan is to keep it like this for the rest of this year.
May God bless you bro❤
Thanks for this I have really struggled and it's quite embarrassing subject to bring up so really appreciate this video 💙
You're very welcome! You are not alone and you will be surprised others are also struggling the same thing. This is why it's important for us to cover this topic. Please don't be afraid to seek out for help, it's very normal.
@@Psych2go Thank you 💙
Ive been doing a good long time quitting this habit. It takes a lot and strength to anyone struggling with this❤ you've got this :) your health really feels a lot healthier without this addiction
depends how low you are. You don't seem to have fallen that deep
@@Pbcvlyou can do the same my friend. Don’t let your self tell you that you can’t. We humans tend to negatively talk to ourself instead of praising ourself for trying to become better. I know it’s very hard for you to avoid this but keep praising and rewarding yourself whenever you do ANY positive achievements wether it’s big or small.
Perhaps because there's nothing else that could make it harder for you to let go of it, like:
- you likely have a partner you needed in life and left life with a parent behind
- you likely moved out from your old location
- your lifestyle is healthier and free from "idc as long as it passes time"
- you have your own decision making with no legal attachment that could prevent it
Which are things that I lack and as a result, the addiction lives on. Only fulfilling them can get me rid of addiction, so that there's no reason for it to come back 😔

“It’s not a just about abstaining from something, it’s about filling the void with something meaningful”
great line. that makes a lot of sense. it’s like, sometimes when i’m indulging in stuff for the sole purpose of getting dopamine, i actually feel empty inside and it’s like i’m trying desperately to fill that void and feel like i’m having fun.
and it’s also really cool that connecting with people is the opposite of addiction, because personally when i’m consuming content it kinda feels like it’s just a lot more potent for my brain if it’s created by someone i know
Thank you for making videos on this topic. I have been struggling since i was 13 years old and im almost 25. I joined a sex addiction 12 step and had almost 3 months of sobriety but relapsed recently and have been on a binge. Im gonna finish watching this right now and get back on the wagon. Thank you ❤
Say bro any advice for me bro? I’m in da same shoes rn, just looking for some help bro.
Even though I have never watched porn before, I feel like this topic needs to be covered more. There is a suprisingly high number of people who are addicted and want to be freed from their shackles.
For some individuals like me, simply getting rid off addiction will not fix all other issues that support the said addiction
Not to mention the poor kids growing up these days with this stuff being just a click away on their phones.
you never watched porn? for real? wow amazing. may I know how old are you? and how you managing it?
This womens voice is so calming and also thank you for helping me overcome my addiction I’m already in day 3 of quitting it
I've been free for about 5-6 days now. My longest was 3 months, but it happened without thinking.. and I hate it. This has helped a lot, thank you

That industry is evil.
Discipline is the most important thing to stop prn addiction.
@@Happy_Nacho_Mysterysame point
I stopped it for a month and made and became disciplined I thought I won from my addiction but ... 😔
@@Happy_Nacho_Mysterybecause discipline isn't as important as this guy says it is. Have you tried reaching out to an expert?
Gotta acknowledge that it’s a problem first and replace it with meaningful activities and hobbies, and find new offline connections in the process. I know it’s all easier said than done, but seek help if you can. Life is hard when you are enslaved by pixels on a screen, once you’re free from that, life’s challenges become more bearable to deal with.
It is so hard man. It affected a relationship of mine and it is my main coping mechanism.I want to change and I want to be happy again
🙏May God bless this program and may it reached out and fully help those in the hard battle❤
That background music is super chill though 😌
Wow u aploaded it on just the exact right time i don't have such issues but i will really help someone i know thanks ❤
I'm very young and i'm not going to say my age but...this video made me look back at my life, and rethink it
you don't have a penis
This is some really solid advice. I myself have taken the steps to reducing the habits that are most unhealthy for me and thankfully I'm already on a good track. This negative habit isn't nearly as difficult to break as let's say smoking would be. 😊
Quitting smoking was a blessing in contrast to this😂
It has to start with the right mindset.
Just in time. Thank you
Hope this video can help you or someone you know!
Every day and night it’s a constant cycle of it and I cave into it every. Single. Time. And it’s affected my life so much. Thank you for this video I was about to go back in but you helped me break free from the link. You have almost 12 millions subscribers (congratulations for that) but only 43 thousand views in 23 hours ? You deserve more
TH-cam has been weird lately :(
As I’ve been trying to quit for awhile, here’s some stuff that I’ve found:
Works:
Actively asking myself “do I really need to?”
Weighing the pros and cons (Will this make me happy? Or will I have another crushing PNC and be sad?)
Recognizing what made me want to do it in the first place.
Doesn’t work:
Going cold turkey.
Trying to “compromise” with myself, as it just leads to the same thing.
Building a habit of doing it.
lowkey

1)make yourself stressed enough or occupied enough that u cant think about things like this
2)when u feel this way go talk to your friends and avoid talking about this topic or consuming content which triggers you...after a while it wont faze you anymore
3) instead of opening the website try shut down your phone and put it away...this personally helped me a lot
And know that theres nothing wrong with you...and that u can do it I believe in u stranger 💫
how long did it take you to stop
i struggle with p0rn and selfharm but we arnt talking abt that, anyway i have a severe porn addiction becuase i was exposed to it as a young young child (like 4) i just started watching it and its been years i still cant get over it its so hard.
The urge is so strong but am trying my best to keep away from it
Keep it up, stay strong, best of luck!
Thank you so much for this even though I don't watch adult content :p
Let’s get our minds right gang! We got this 💪
I had a porn addiction for a while now but when I started doing this I actual started gaining the ideas I needed for the story of the porn i was writing! I was so happy the arc was finished and now its time to move on to the next writing project.
I've tried reading porn, but most in my language are bland and cringe
i’m late asf but dude getting to stop watching porn is fucking mission impossible. i started at 10 and still watching it almost every day atleast twice a day. i’ve been trying to stop for so long but it’s so tempting
This is a bit complicated matter to solve, as my porn addiction has more branches then a singular website and I even managed to sympathized with couple of people that either do said activity on minor occasions, or as "2nd layer content" (one which I'm frankly too broke or too busy to pay for). Including my ol' gal Rune 😔🖤
It's something that is easy to let go on paper, but if the additional factors are not dealt with (life style, quality of household, surrounding environment, country of living...), it will always come back as result of lack of progress / boredom
Help me
This helps a lot if I try to do it again I well watch this video until I stop
Perfect timing
Hope this video can help you or someone you know!

Think the reason why I struggle so much with relapsing is because I feel so isolated with a fetish of mine. Connecting with others who share the same fetish as me has helped me feel like I’m not so alone with it, but I also think it’s caused me to relapse more often too because since I’m not experiencing it in real life, the next best thing is for me to watch videos of people engaging in what I’m into…
Same it is weird but in the NSFW I have found a community where I can be more genuine and the conections I made there have make the quitting harder
Thank you for sharing this. It's hard to express self discipline
