It's sad to me that "the search" album itself wasn't the album of the year. It's a masterpiece that will be appreciated many years down the road. Each song is powerful in it's own way, it's why I love this album the most. I hope that at this point, yall see why this album seems to be most of his fans consider his best album and love it.

If you want to know what depression really feels like play this song. The darkness in your mind that won't go away. Pleading with your own thoughts to just "let me go". Even when you know these worries aren't real you can't escape, and it's mentally exhausting.
Alot of people i know don't like nf and when I ask them why they say we'll he's not a rapper cause he doesn't swear...then my mind is just blown because he makes you feel so much emotion and makes you feel his pain that I consider him an artist not a rapper/singer. Her makes beautiful art with his lyrics and emotions and not swearing makes him just so much lyrically better than anyone else. I tell people all the time stop sleeping on nf he will change your whole mindset

This is one of those NF songs that you wish there was one more verse because you don't want it to end.
I have always thought he was telling his burdens to "Let Me Go" because he can't let them go... BECAUSE they are holding him back from doing so. It's a catch 22 situation. I LOVE how y'all went back and listened even more to this!! 🔥 🔥 🔥 guys!!!

I can relate to this so much. From my POV. Someone is depressed and the people who are making it is his/her friends. And the reason he/her says let me go is he wants it to stop. All the pain they caused.

Tommee Proffit has a ton of fire songs with a lot of different great artists. Something about adding in the string instruments gets me. I love a good violin or cello.
