Retired Air Force SF. We changed to that designation about 3 years before I retired. Advice to you.....Find a squared away SSGT and copy what he or she does as they have MUCH more experience behind them as to why they are set up their way. Good to see you are proud. Don't lose that. And for those that hate on the AF choosing SF (Security Forces), not your issue. You didn't choose that designator so no need to worry over it at all. Thank you for doing your time on the wall. Cheers
You'll learn real quick the first time you fight someone why you shouldn't hang unnecessary stuff of your vest, like that knife. Everything gets ripped and torn off. The last thing you want is someone getting a hold of that knife. Just a little recommendation based off my experiences
A tip: lose the folding knife (or stow it in your pocket since it's not secured to you) and replace with trauma shears. You have enough potential weapons that can be use against you (or buddies) if you go down. Shears are cheaper and they fit through the MOLLE webbing. Much safer for removing flex cuffs, and double as strap cutters if you ever go through the unfortunate vehicle roll-over. The folding knife is a liability against you if/when you go hands on for an arrest, even a compliant one.
Kurt Dermody “POG”. Nice, maybe a devil dog eh. I heard in the background the song “Geret trooper” by the late and great SSgt Barry Sadler. Where oh where to put the brasso’d ammo?
Leo Casi do you even work in this career field bro? The gate guard post is only part of the career field. Maybe consider getting a pair of trauma shears in case you need to perform CPR or SABC on a patient/suspect. A V blade or dedicated rescue knife w/ a window punch for gaining access to a patient and for cutting seatbelts on MVA’s if by chance you are on scene before Fire and EMS and situation dictates immediate action. Much easier than a standard pocket knife. Also an IFAK is always a good idea. Just some food for thought from an AF firefighter.

I wore an ALICE LBE from 1988 until 1993 when I received my first tac vest. With the LBE I wore my handcuff case in the front beside the belt buckle two ALICE magazine pouches one on either side, and two 1 quart canteens with a cup for each, one each at my kidneys. I then went to USAFE and started carrying 210 rounds at Balikesir TU 90 rounds per pouch, then RAF Upper Heyford where I carried 240 rounds 90 per pouch, thirty in a shirt pocket. While I was in e UK we were issued the first generation of tac vests, and I was one of the few who used them. With the tac vest I carried my handcuffs in the grenade pouches, 120 rounds in the vest mag pouches (3 on the right side 1 on the left) I carried my Motorola Saber radio in the left double mag pouch, and I kept an ALICE 90 round mag pouch on my left hip with 90 rounds in it. I still carried two 1 quart canteens, and once I received the MCU-2AP gas mask I carried it clipped to my webbed belt with the thigh straps tucked into one of the pouches on the carrier, as I felt that they were tripping hazards, and couldn't cut them off. When I got to Minot I still wore the tac vest on duty, and wore ALICE gear at guard mount, as the 91st MW had a regulation dictating how the webbed gear was to be worn at guard mount. The only change that I made at Minot was to keep all of my magazines in the tac vest pouches, as I wore my brick radio on the back of my left shoulder clipped to one of the wide webbed strips of the vest's shoulder straps, and my hand mic clipped on the front of the opposite shoulder. I still have my tac vest, as I purchased one between the UK and Incirlik. I also purchased a Spyder Co knife at some point in USAFE, and carried it clipped to my BDU shirt behind the top most covered button. I tied a 6 inch piece of para cord with knots at the ends to pull it out quickly.

Do you workout in full gear? Deadlifts, pushups, pull-ups, sprints, 5mi runs, circuit training, etc? Like to see a video if you do. If you don’t, well... Also really surprised you’re using a leatherman over a Gerber center-drive multitool. The plier head extends out of the middle with the flick of the wrist so it can be deployed quickly, single-handedly. Not being a dick just surprised as they make a flat-black model that (I was told) was standard issue for armed forces. Perhaps I was fooled. Cool vid. Thanks.
where is your TQ's? Or trauma shears? or IFAK? Also you probably don't want your pocket knife right on the front of your vest where anyone walking by can grab it.
I'm pretty sure you have not been in the army, or at least not for very long so allow me to educate you a little. IFAKs and tourniquets are critical to reducing casualties in firefights and need to be placed in easily reachable positions. Trauma shears become worth their weight in gold when trying to find bullet holes in guys who have been shot. These are things I learned during my 5 years in the Marine Corps as an infantryman so sit down and shut up.
I have a question. I am Currently in the 9th grade, and I am interested in Security Forces. I don't plan on going to college, but I am a Law Enforcement Explorer, and have been very active within my Police Department. Will this help me with anything when I am enlisting in the Air Force, or will I have to go to college in order to get into Security Forces?
You don’t need any college experience in order to become security forces. Working with your police department will help in many ways once you become security forces but to be completely honest you’ll still start in the same position as everyone else. I would recommend it though as it will probably help in the long run of the career.

Think jalen was talking about the Kevlar in the vest itself will stop 9mm, but should hold up to .45 also. The plates will stop a few 7.62.
Probably SAPI plates or ESAPI.
Hey Bro , What was Getting OC sprayed Like & What did you have to do ?
자렌 크로스톤 Good guy...
Cool vid. Thanks.
Yes pretty much everything, unless personally purchased, is issued.
I thought all services went to the Sig M17 (sig P320) but I’m seeing a lot of Airforce guys still with the M9 still
Some bases have them. I think Andersen AFB and Barksdale AFB have started using them
I thought you guys get FS Strandhoggs in ABU or Tyr EPICs now instead of those things
where is your TQ's? Or trauma shears? or IFAK? Also you probably don't want your pocket knife right on the front of your vest where anyone walking by can grab it.
Were is your parents
Thats how the united states air force has it
@@Aviationgeek21 *where
I'm pretty sure you have not been in the army, or at least not for very long so allow me to educate you a little.
Guys where is the metal badge of the security forces? I want to know where the real badge is at.
How often do you guys conduct pt? Just curious
barely ANY after the first 4 weeks but it depends on your cadre
All videos I've seen are either a airmen first class or below
I don't get why its only them there actually pretty interesting videos
I don't have a setup recommendation, I just think it's really cool how they gave your name a Korean spelling
Flash light goes under the hand with the hand gun
Put one m9 clip on your holster in case you have to ditch your vest for whatever reason. You will have more than just 15 rounds
Zach Fink Not called clips buddy. They’re called magazines.
Really enjoyed the video. Thanks!!
@@jalencroxton3567 6 yrs as a SP. Got out of the Air Force and that line on the resume was huge in interviews for a civ. Police job. I was a civilian cop too. There 's lots of guys sitting on hiring boards that were SP's......
What is the price of this bullet proof jacket ?
Freedom
Nice setup but I would remove the knife from the carrier and clip it inside the pocket and get some trauma shears instead. I also suggest getting yourself an ifak.
Get a Sig and get a weapon light a lot more convenient see if you can get your own set up just get a 9mm so same ammo works
I’d also get a better knife benchmade is the best I’d get maybe the triage or an infidel full size
Absolutely doesn't work like that. You must Carry what's issued.
Bring ur own gun to work day would be cool. Lol
Yo what is the vest patch called
U at Whiteman?
@@heremyjogan yes but I am not in the air force my brother is and I live with him and we were wondering what that patch is
I’m goin in after high school any advice
Stay motivated and stay dedicated, thats too important. Certain days are going to suck but its defenitley worth it in the end.
@@jalencroxton1471 thanks
Great , glad to see someone enlisted not using a damn serpa.
How heavy is ur gear all together ?
My dad was in the Air Force 503rd security forces
Its not a "ratchet attachment" damn what sorta training has this guy been thru? Its just one of the 3 basic variation of cuffs and he got it so wrong. Damn. The ratchet portion is the locking mechanism, all types of mordern handcuffs works on a ratchet lock.
Is it possible to get one if these plate carriers as a civilian?
64bitmad yes, google search!
What plate carrier is that?
What's the Air Force policy of a Gunfight?
*Send in the Airborne Paratroopers.*

USAF sends in para rescue
Better than seals from what i heat
@@botcheek482 the PJ, aka Para Rescue are like Armed Paramedics conducting Mobile Surgery or First Aid in a Helicopter. They're different than the Seals. They're Special Forces but they only engage in saving lives than making a direct contact.
@@diligentone-six2688 but still their training is equal to the seals or even more elite. they dont fight like the seals but they are still professional at their jobs and they could easily take a seals mission and accomplish it
@@botcheek482 Their Training is similar but they can't engage in Reconnaissance, Direct Military Action and Counter-Terrorism.
