- Ethiopian food you must try in Addis Ababa Ethiopia. Here is my Ethiopian food Mukbang. Ethiopian food is unique and amazing. In this video I go to my favorite restaurant in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia called Dashen Terara. I eat the traditional fasting dish known as Beyaynetu which is an array of vegetables laid out on a large piece of injera. This food is available in every restaurant during the Ethiopian Orthodox fasting season, which spans for 55 days before Easter. When visiting Addis Ababa Ethiopia you must try Dashen Terara. correction about the fasting you said they don't completely stop eating so the rule is if people can, they should fast all day till prayer(kidase) ends but if the person is wick and can't do that, he can just avoid meat and dairy and eat vegetable. but the whole month even after fasting all day meat and dairy not allowed.

Thanks for sharing our culture and just to let you know we Ethiopia’s didn’t like to be video recorded . I understand you need to have video for security issue but keep it in mind. I know you asked them first which is great too.
Actually not all but most people fast the real fast. they don't eat or drink anything from midnight to 3PM. when they break fasting they can only eat Vigan food. no dairy product or no meat.

I'm sure you're probably aware. A helpful tip when eating Ethiopian food- the proper formal way to eat is to take a BIG piece of injera to completely cover the food, then grab it. You're not supposed to get your fingers wet lol

Ethiopia and eritrean food are identical. We do have a teff in eritrea, so it's not just in Ethiopia that produce teff.
.It looks so delicious and the way you present it makes it even more tempting to taste it.
For Easter fast, we do fasting of no food and water for 55 days for minimum of 6 hours per day, Maximum goes from midnight to 2pm.
