This was a really great informative video regarding the coexistence of film and 3D elements. I’ve been doing blender for around 5 months now and all I can say is the learning curve is definitely real, and I haven’t really even touched anything in the blender pipeline besides mesh designing and texture nodes. I’ve always had the desire to achieve the long desired goal of creating a highly detailed cinematic scene with realistic lighting and elements, but at my state, it’s very daunting to learn about all the core elements that make a highly detailed scene or animation. I’ve always wanted to learn Z brush, but I’m just not sure on where Z brush would lie in a typical progression roadmap. It’s just hard to find that first stepping stone to really get things going, and I’ve been struggling to understand where I should even start with animated scenes.

Thank you for your feed back, I really appreciate it! I would say if you want to learn the basics of character animation then check out this video by polyfjord th-cam.com/video/imbIsNAvUpM/w-d-xo.html The character is simple but the principals are very solid. I also have another video coming done the pipeline in which I make a coke ad in blender. If you are struggling with animation of more complex objects and character, then then to model a product like a phone is something I have done, but that is just an example. After you finish your modeling and texturing, watch an ad by the company you are advertising for. In my next video I have an iphone ad I made in it, so hopefully that will help!

Nice lighting in this video! It would be nice if you can make a video on showing us your lighting setup used to achieve this video 🙏

Thanks! I recently updated the lighting as you can see in my most recent video. I currently use and aperture ameran 60d as my Keysight with a neewer soft box on the end. This is placed a couple of feet away from my face just out of frame.

What type of computer do you use?

I use an Alienware aurora R6. For everything show in this video my graphics card was the Nvidia 1060, however I recently was able to get the new RTX 3090 (which is awesome).

I started out with blender Guru's doughnut tutorial, and then followed some of polyfjord's work. After that I learn mostly on my own.

Nothing about 3d is worth it

Honestly Blender can be super frustrating, but so can film. I only have one other video, but it weighs the pros and cons of each method.

@filmstop7828 hello, honestly i meant about 3d in general, not worth wasting time on it , in the exception of designing and selling online or freelance.
