    I 100% agree about talent. I am a “professional” artist, I work for DC comics and have some concept art for too many companies to list… the second anyone mentions talent, or a lack of it, when talking about learning something creative, I stop them. Talent exists, for sure, but talent alone gets you nowhere, talent and hard work produce the leonardo Davi cos of the world. Hard work makes you a professional level creative…
    I was not talented as a kid, at all, in fact I was told,in the early days, I’d never be a good enough artists to work in comics… but I kept working… and now I have been doing it as a career for 30 years.
    It’s exactly what you said… 2 hours a day, five days a week for two years… I promise you will be pro level at the end of it.
    Great video…

    I’ve been using for probably a few weeks, I installed blender late last year and struggled with it, then redownloaded it and tried some animating and did the doughnut, now a little while later and I’m focusing on hun design and I’m getting pretty good, but I learn something new every day. My advice is just find a niche, try to master it, then move on to another feature, like texturing or rendering, and through time you’ll learn everything you need to know

    Good points. When I went to school for 3D years ago, I look back and remember trying to do too much rather than focusing on making the small things better. Now years later, similar to you, while I can appreciate what Blender can do for characters, animation, etc what I need to use it for is to supplement and sometimes replace product photography with 3D elements and environments as composites. That is my focus which has led me to your channel.
    I just wish Blender could more easily and accurately handle 3D from other CAD based tools which are primarily nurb-based.

    On step number 5 I have a question. They say when learning to program and code be it with C# C++ or even Python , they say to talk to a rubber duck whenever you get stuck because by explaining the problem, by explaining to the rubber duck what is what and how it all is suppose to work it helps you to find a solution and to better understand the material. I'm just wondering if you would think this rubber duck method is applicable to learning blender in any way.

    • @WenboZhao
      @WenboZhao  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Similar but not the same, my last point was focusing on sharing my solution to a broader audience who might have been struggling with the same problems. I see what you saying, if you can frame the question properly then you might have the half of the problem solved. I do encourage everyone to post questions on online to bring more awareness through. Thanks for your insight mate 🤓

    Saying no to something you dont want to learn here doesnt mean that u need to learn it , it depends on what you're going to be , focus on thing , if you want to make characters just do characters , if u want to do animation just do animation , if u want to do architecture visualization u can do it , but if you got the time u can master all of these , but get this right , client will hire someone with high quality on one things , so why not focus on one thing?

    How to learn: Open the program and use it. When needed, refer to the documentation.

    I do waste my time watching various Blender videos. So what? Should I procrastinate in different ways? Like watching a new (awful) TV series on Netflix? Or browsing funny memes on social platforms? Blender videos are better and safer choice.

      @@WenboZhao You seem to imply so, though. It is your first point: Say no to part of Blender you don't need.
      I would form it: Say no if you have better things to do :)
