@@ODANANETWORK , this is amazing and I am all for it. I am a surgical nurse in the USA and will be glad to work with this MD in Ghana. It is such a genuine concept.
Thank you Jesus Christ, For such an individual doctor in Ghana. Beautiful move. ODANA Network connect me to this Doctor. This man is a true visionary. God bless you. May God be your help Doctor. Thank you ODANA Network for sharing.
I’m 53 I live in Dallas Texas I have a two year plan I chopped one year off of it. Hold on Dr I do cardiac and vascular ultrasound and I want to bring those skills to Ghana.
Great interview. I ordered before he even finished his sentence about it being on amazon. I am not a frequent reader but when its an inspiring book coming from the continent, I am more than happy read it. This interview came at the right time for me. Getting ready for my trip in this pandemic, I need a reliable healthcare system just in case I need it while in Ghana. Thank your this inspiring interview. Stay blessed.
I’m happy for him and glad that Gh will gain from his experience and training in the US. But , to each his own, returning to GH is not for everyone. All the best.
Folk like already built systems why most people travel aboard.gradually Africa is been built very soon it is going to be hard to fit in ,you will be an outsider in your own country if you wait too long.
For those of you interested in how listening to the patient is worthwhile, search TH-cam for the video *Making Rounds* : *Medical Education Documentary Film* , it is about 1 hr long. It is a documentary about cardiologists making the rounds at Mount Sinai hospital in NY, USA and how they are trying to preserve the disappearing art and science of how to examine and diagnose patients at the bedside for future generations of physicians. In GH, the doctors play God and are not punished for negligence. Good sign, the doctor is showing the ones who will not align to his business vision the door. You need a no-nonsese attitude to make your vision happen and as an entrepreneur, usually you are the only one who sees the bigger picture. The African American family (Black Acres Of The Gambia - B.A.G.) in the Gambia, also fires employees with the expression, 'Show them the gate' when folks don't align with their vision. Folks forget/don't know how corporations are build in the USA etc, you have to tow the corporate line, else you move on.
In fact in the U.S. you are trained in compliance with the consumer laws (patient rights to dignity, right to choose, right to refuse, the right to be informed about side effects of drugs, etc). True, there are consequences for violating those rights: you get sued, lose your professional license, end up in prison for patient abuse!! Funny how Ghanaians passionately making anti- gay laws rather than fixing what has always been the real obstacle: corruption, lack of accountability, foolishness galore!. So, my dear diasporans, please protect your hard-earned money!
Our law makers don’t care about patience right in Ghana, and the doctors can do harm to patience without any consequences. Once a doctor forever a doctor, no continuous education to renew your license for best practices. My brother wife was in labor, they got to the hospital no doctor on duty her situation got worse, the doctor is coming , he show up at 6:30am since midnight, whatever he did the baby’s died. Needless death . These is what most of the people have to put up with.
Point of correction, there is a continuous education even after medical school and even if you don’t want to be a specialist but a general doctor, our license is renewed every year and per the renewal requirements you need cpd points which is gotten from going to seminars and going for education summit and all.
@@kwesifelixboafo5333 ridiculous!!! If it’s cpd, we don’t go and learn multiplication time table, we learn evidence based medicine and new inventions and treatment modalities and standard procedures to help in patient management!
@@kwesifelixboafo5333 those are to refresh your knowledge and be aware of latest development in the medical field. Example if you worked with diabetes for 5 years, you are going to forget other things. It's human. That is why you need seminars, etc to refresh your knowledge. That is the purpose!
That's not true people don't live long in the USA too and I mean Europe entirely. And also lots of shooting here and there. Lots of heart attack 😷 and more in the USA. The only thing help us is God giving breath of life simple, even most doctors don't live long. So death is uncertain whether you healthy or not. So hospital is good but God is first 🙏.
What I hear from this man is that there is no reliable people to rely on in Ghana to manage a business... The services he is providing is good and it is not free what kind of people can pay for this services? Is government health service free in Ghana, in Mauritius its free?

Yep. If you are a negligent medical professional in the US, the patient will sue the pants off you…and win.
