To all African-Americans who are debating whether to leave America. Think about the Black American issues such as 1. The micro and macro racism by whites and other groups. 2. The police violence against Blacks. 3. The prison and justice system towards Blacks. 4. The new high rates of Black suicide. 5. The excessive gun violence by white AND BLACK folk. 6. The genetically modified foods. 7. The new narcissism and selfishness through media. 8. The crumbling education system......I can go on and on.
These are the reasons my sister and I will take our first Tour in 2023; God willing. We are just turning 60 and we are just TIRED and HEARTBROKEN at witnessing over 50 years of blks in America experiencing all things negative. Including workplace racism, lack of raises, promotions etc. I want to step on the Continent before I die. I pray TMH grant me some grace and blessings to make the trip. 🙏🏽 I have the HIGHEST RESPECT for the African people and the Continent. I want to retire somewhere in Africa and enjoy the ocean.
Beautiful interview 👌🏾. Although I knew by background (Ghana/Togo), I did my ancestry DNA test too. Yes, historically, our people moved around. I am 100% West African per the report because I'm a bit of every West African Country. This knowledge helps us forge deeper connections with more people. We NEED to know, as black people, we are more connected than different. Kudos to the sister. 👏🏾
When the guest....My Sudanese-American Sister brought this show host back down to reality and gave her a dose of the real uncomfortable truths, that many of these West Africans don't want to face. Yeah that part starting about 9:52 & going til about11:53 Honors to my Sudanese-American Sister for telling it like it truly is & not how people want it to be.
What about retired African American senior citizens who desperately need to learn and experience mother Africa before we depart this earth. I would love to connect with history and possibly leave the US permanently. I am tired of overt racism and daily violence. Please help me come home.

This is a fantastic initiative, I believe if a go-fund-me is set up to help facilitate funding the program, most of us would be glad to chip in to help move this laudable agenda forward. Thank you, Mrs. Boateng for your dedication to this wonderful coarse and thank you Danta, for yet another masterpiece; keep up the excellent work. Thank you
I think the DNA is not important, reason is when our ancestors were forcefully taken away, there was no Present day Ghana or Nigeria until 1884 when they mischievously divided the continent, also due to constant war and people running away from the kidnappers, my great great great… grandmother or father may have ended up in what is now Ivory Coast, Togo or Sierra Leon. So to me, it doesn’t matter what your DNA points to, just pick where in Africa, especially West Africa that you will feel comfortable and stay or do whatever you want.
Our people think too fragmented In this way. We have to see Africa as a house you own, nobody can say only one room or closet is yours. Once you place your foot down it’s all yours!
@Joseph…brilliant comment. I’ve been saying this for years that AAs and diasporans shouldn’t spend money to find out the obvious. Africa borders are totally artificial and your ancestors could’ve really come from anywhere in West or Central Africa. Pick a country in Africa that fits your lifestyle and stay.
True. So long as you are black, anywhere in Afrika is your home(Peter Tosh). Internal migration in Afrika was the thing of the day. My fore father's were in Misri(Egypt) and others from Southern Cameroon, upper Niger Congo and later we settled around Mt. Masaba along the British created boundary between Kenya and Uganda. Part of my relatives and cousins are in Uganda and others in Kenya. President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya put it rightly where the vice president of Kenya, Moody Awori was a resident of Kenya and his sibling (J. Awori) was a minister of state in the office of the President in Uganda. My cousin was a foreign affairs minister and another one was the Attorney general in Uganda while part of the other family is in Kenya. Colonial borders must be removed. "Waafrika tuko pamoja milele daima."
Fantastic, fantastic interview! I enjoyed it thoroughly. I am so excited about what the diaspora is doing and Africans on a whole. It gives me so much joy and hope in the future of my people. I am thankful to all the participators who sees the vision for a Greater Africa and are contributors also. Thank You All!

Wow. Seriously words fail me to even try to utter a few words to describe what am feeling right now about Birth Right Africa. Yes The Most High Yahuah promised to ''gather the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth '' : (Isaiah 11:12): . And trust me Yahushua H'mashiach has already began ' the Gathering ''. I am a Ghanaian living in London but my ancestors are calling me home to Ghana. This is the way to go and am definitely going to be a part of this movement come hell or high water. I can see clearly avenues for collaboration and investing into whole project. I am game, am in.
I think the DNA testing is one of the issues that Africa and the diaspora needs to do away with in order to help facilitate the UNITY OF THE CONTINENT. If you look at the map of Africa between 1600s-1700s, you would see Africa was sparsely divided, until the huge division happened during the Berlin Conference or the 'scramble for Africa' by the Europeans. Many artificial boundaries were created for their own selfish reasons. We should work to reunite rather than further divide ourselves with the colonial footprints of the Europeans and DNA testing. Perhaps it may be done for the purpose of knowing but such identities should be held a little loosely because for Africa to exude any realistic global influence economically, socially and militarily, the only currency to afford that is UNITY. Awesome interview though. Keep it up!

About 120 years ago there was no Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, etc. Europeans created the current boarders in Africa. Yes, there were Kingdoms before the Europeans arrived. DNA pointing to a country which is less than 100 years is not right. Pointing to an ethnic group is better. Note, ethnic groups go beyond the current boarders.
@@niiamu3300 Let me rephrase my response. You indicated DNA pointing to a country is not right, and I'm saying it is OK for the following reason: Those Africans in the diaspora are heterogeneous so what you see in their DNA is representive of their ethnic mix over hundreds of years across many geographic regions. Remember the DNA scientists do not have samples from 5000 years ago to use as a baseline. They are comparing my DNA with modern day samples from those they consider to be homogeneous. DNA cannot distinguish between the Akan, Ewe, Hausa, Jibu, or Ebu only people can.
