    I thought these were 2 stroke engines... you just made my day. I talked the wife into getting a new ski after selling our old one (97 gtx) and I've been telling her for the past week that these were ones we'd have to mix fuel for. now she'll be even more for it.
    thanks for making this!

    Great review! I have 2 2016 Sparks. 1 3up and 1 2up 90 HP HO motors. They are a blast to ride. I can keep up with friends who have the higher end Jet Skis. The 3 up tows a tube just great. My grandkids have a great time. My adult son who weighs about 240 rode on the tube and the Spark performed fantastic. So if you are looking for Jet Skis that perform great and are affordable in price you cant go wrong with SeaDoo Spark!

    Great review and thank you for doing it. I was looking at getting a couple of jet ski's but when I saw the price of them I nearly choked and instead bought a bow rider boat. Couldn't justify the cost. These are perfect, exactly what I was looking for. I agree with you, sure I could spend twice as much but do I really need to go 70mph? Let's face it, most of the time people are cruising around at 25mph so these work perfectly. The fact that I can get 2 for the price of 1 - absolutely the best bang for the buck

      @AemScotty 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Richard McQuiggan yup, I agreed with you., that true. I own it and love it. I end up cruising 30-40 mph 95% of time on spark.

    Great review! I want to get some of these for my grand kids, they are still to little to go on them by themselves. But when they get old enough to ride on their own I don't want them on 160 HP jetski's, These are perfect for them. Just go out to a lake and ride them around and have fun.
    Thank you for the honest review.

      Pat believe me when they are older they will want the extra speed I had a 2017 spark trixx and after half a year decided it wasn’t enough speed so I bought two 2017 gtr 230s and they are unbelievably reliable and fast also if you don’t want them going super fast they have key options to lower the top speed with a certain key

    I have a 2016 2 up 90hp with IBR. Taxes, title, and aluminum Triton trailer $7500 out the door.. Naysayers dog the polytec hull say it will not hold up, I've taken mine out on Lake michigan with 3-4 foot waves and beat the hell out of it jumping waves for hours without any issues. It's my first jet ski, I've rode my friends older larger model and this thing will run circles around it. I do wish it had a little bigger gas tank, just a couple gallons make it an even 10.
    Happy boating my friend.

      I have 2 3 ups with ibr and the convenience package. I've taken em out into 7 and even 8 foot waves in the Gulf of Mexico and gotten some major air and had no problems. Hell, I even ran one into the sand "accidently" at 30 mph and it's fine. they're great skis

      I remember when Bayliner first introduced it's line of boats. The big buck boaters made fun of them, side they would never last, blah, blah, blah. Took the industry by surprise and set everyone back on their heels. Sure the boats were built a little lighter and maybe didn't have all the amenities (and crap that you never use) but they were half the price. My brother bought on the first year (I think it was 1984) and he still has it. Just because you pay more doesn't make it better - just more expensive

    Don't know if this helps a lot but our bay is pretty saline being near the Gulf and we get 2 foot chop quite a bit. I think this ski excels at 2 foot chop better than heavier ski's because I don't worry about it rolling on us when we are riding. Throw in I can ride it for 4 hours straight for like 12$ of non ethanol and you do the math. Side note our battery just crapped out without warning check engine light came on was using a cheap trickle charger and just picked up a couple of battery tender jr's that permanently clip to the posts and you just plug in. Hope this helps somebody out because the small entrance is a PITA to keep your charging cables on.

      @@sizableschreib1758 There are about 10 places close to my house that will do it for $150 cash.
      All it does is remove/replace the BRP rev limiter from 7200rpm up to 8200rpm.
      That gets you about 30hp and about 10mph.
      BRP wants to charge you $1650 for it, so my guess is that it will void your warranty if you ever need warranty work done.

      I am 210 "a guy" and throw my 150# Daugherty on ours and its a blast. We hit some air yesterday and get thrown a ton "and are at max capacity I think its 350 but might be 300". I wouldn't want to hit a constant 40mph on it with two passengers at 350 but for a consistent 30 and playing around its great.

  • @Nangjelovski

    how are they on the water are they stable ? is it good for a first timer ?

    • @thejandkvids
      @thejandkvids 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nangjelovski Hey there, I am a beginner myself (only rode once before for about 2 hours) and I just purchased a 2016 3up Spark with iBR and it is a great beginners vehicle. It's not too fast (caps around 50mph) and handles beautifully. It's also very cheap in the realm of PWC's so I highly recommend it.
      One thing you have to be careful of is running onshore with this thing. the "ware ring" can be broken without too much effort. It'll break if you run ashore with the motor. So be careful.

      Mark Buckley any chance you know how the 2 up handles? Looking to get the 2 up with ibr but ive heard ppl say its a bit unstable and should go with the 3up. Got quoted 8600 otd with taxes n everything(ny). Not sure if its a good deal or not.

    • @Nangjelovski
      @Nangjelovski 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Omgitzrandom Z mine came to 8600 its a good deal but the 2 years extra waranty expires on the 31

    • @thejandkvids
      @thejandkvids 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Omgitzrandom Z Just for starters, the 3up has 90hp while the 2up has 60hp. Also you can only do "tow sports" (such as pulling an inner tube or water skiing) with the 3up. The spark in itself is meant to be playful so it's not as super stable as a 2017 Yamaha EX Sport or something of that nature, but I have no problem with it. $8600 out the door for a 2up is a bit pricey in my opinion. I got my 3up with iBR and a convenience package for about $8600 (can't remember the exact price but it was close).

      That's what I did. Got an 800 for...$800 and it needed some work. I invested $1,200 in new engine parts and some aftermarket stuff. New seat covers and all I had to do is wet sand the hull, buff and polish it. I added some new decals, nothing retro, just nice looking accents and it runs great. He even included the trailer. I sold that one (because it was a two ski trailer) for $450 and bought a 1 ski trailer on Craigslist for $250 in better shape. I really got out ahead on that purchase.
