    Great point on the coolant. When I winterize, I check the coolant and I am usually down a few ounces. I called the dealer and they said that is not normal, probably a leak, but the overflow tube makes a lot of sense. Thanks!

    Been looking at a spark myself as my first ski. I've ridden them before as a rental but I definitely lean towards the light and nimble versus top speed. I do all my own car maintenance and none of the things that you showed seem difficult to me in the least in fact I was kind of impressed by how easy all that stuff looked. I would have guessed it would have been far more complicated mostly due to the design and being in a very compact container. But that all seemed logical and easy to understand. Thanks for the video. Good to know these are easy enough to work on for your average person

      I think as long as you are willing to try and learn they are not bad. Being able to remove the top deck is a huge plus as long as you are willing to do so when needed.

    I recommend adding to your list, give the impeller a quick spin to listen to the bearing while you have it pulled. Should be smooth and quiet.

    I ride both ski Yamaha and Seadoo and believe me, you can ride yamahas for years and lot of hours without any issues. Seadoo has a lots of issues even before the 100 hours.

    Thanks buddy. Question for you... I have 2 2020 model Spark Trix. One just started acting up this past weekend. If you give it full throttle from a dead stop the RPMs shoot up and in bounces of the rev-limiter without accelerating like it should. If you just roll on the throttle it does OK but the top speed has gone from 50 to 43. I'm hoping it's the wear ring but I haven't torn it down yet. What might be your thoughts on this?

    • @jacobsteele4619
      @jacobsteele4619 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Mine did the same and it was the wear ring, I didn’t have time to do it myself because I was going out of town so I brought it in and it ran me about $550 total

    Kevin24seven? Just got 2 sparks, we ride once in awhile in the river? Salty, you think its ok? Or should stay with fresh water? Even if we flush pretty good, but still concerned??

    • @Kevin24Seven
      @Kevin24Seven  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We ride ours in the ocean and they've been fine. I do spray the entire insides with fluid film though and if you can its good to inspect the things I mentioned in this video from time to time.

    Wow I thought these were water cooled like the old ones, Do these not suck water from the water you ski on?

    • @Kevin24Seven
      @Kevin24Seven  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nope, its all internal or what they call "closed loop" cooling. Most skis are still open loop but these actually have heat exchangers on the bottom which is pretty cool. Its really nice for salt water riding but you still need to flush the pump/prop and what not.

    • @Kevin24Seven
      @Kevin24Seven  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I ended up using a lot of fluid film but without taking the deck off all the time there is only so much you can do really. Especially if you ride in the ocean like I do.

    My 2014 only has 25 hrs and it is getting water inside. Took it to the dealer service and I am waiting, but if the repair is going to cost me 2-3k then this buy was a total scam from seadoo. This jetskies are garbage, never buy a Seadoo again in my life. I also have a 2013 waverunner, never had a problem, never.

    • @Steve-tf1wv
      @Steve-tf1wv 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Did you service it yearly, as per the manual? Or, just let it sit for years and not maintain it, then complain it breaks. The reason I ask is 25 hours means it isn’t ridden, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be maintained.

      I watch youtubers who hate Trump and don't align at all with my political views, doesn't effect me if they make good content.

What someone chooses to hang in their own garage is none of your business and the fact that you couldn’t just look past it to watch the video is so pathetic.
