- Should you a 2020 Seadoo Spark Trixx? These are my first impressions and personal opinions on the Seadoo Trixx. This video is meant to be informational for anyone interested in buying a Seadoo Spark Trixx. There's also an edit of some tricks from the day at the end. Like comment and subscribe please.

Had my 2018 trixx for week, seriously fun for tricks and wave jumping, good on fuel, mine has the sound system, which is awesome, I'd recommend these things to anyone
What's the difference between the Sea doo spark and the spark trixx? I am going to get my license soon and i am choosing a jetski.
so theres a 60 hp and 90 hp spark, the 90 hp spark is same as trixx except trixx has different colorways, footwedges to stand on for wheelies, adjustable height handlebars, and extended vts trim which allows for the jetski to go into a water wheelie with ease.

Why you mention license you mean driver license or you need a different license to ride this machine?
Manuel Zuniga I believe some states require a basic boating safety certificate, personally I think it’s wise to take a course regardless if it’s law or not. There is lots to learn!
Good vid man, Im 61 bought my first ski last year a VX Cruiser HO, now I want one a these to add to the trailer.
@4 The Love of The Shave The Vx is nice jet ski. The spark trixx would be a fun additional alternative when you want to change it up and you can bring friends.

I disagree with the sparks being tippy. They are far from tippy. Even a beginner wouldn't have a problem. Try getting on a 99 seadoo xp limited 951, if you wanna feel tippy
I've never ridden the old jet skis so I'll take your word for it. I'm more comparing to the modern jet skis which feel like a sofa on the water
90s skis are fast and scary👍. Also 2 strokes beat 4 strokes. New skis are heavy and bulky AF
I've got '95 Yamaha VXR.... talk about tippy LOL. My Trixx feels like a 4 wheeler next to a three wheeler compared to that beauty 😂
yea old ski are like dirt bikes anything 2010 and above is like a damn truck lol

did you say I'm getting older now at 29? Nice review, but that cracks me up. I'm 50 and I'll do spins and tricks on that thing all day long, then jet down the lake with my 13 y.o. at 58 mph on our other ski.
Haha somebody caught that line. I hope to be still ripping on the jet skis when I turn 50 as well like you. The trixx is definitely rougher on the body though, adding some bruises up here and there

Update: I'm the big 5-0 now. And we just took delivery of her 2021. Still loving mine and now she's loving her own! Ride on!

Great ski I have a FZS superchargered but the spark is my perfered ride its a 3 up. great on fuel . Tricky in the open ocean but for some people that makes even more fun

What exactly is tricky in the ipen ocean? Will it have stability issues? I am trying to see which jetski yo buy, but i wanna ride a lot of open ocean and possible to bahamas (60 miles). Could you please share your opinion, since i have never ridden such small ketski before. Really want to buy it, but also dint want to limit myself too much.

these are a bps 3mm wet suit gloves from amazon. There more so for cold water and not an everyday riding glove

i have a spark 2016 and it was a rental waterjet and was pretty shitty engine (sparkplugs broken, turbine hit with rocks) but we fixed it ourself and now it works perfectly
It seems like what i need. I live on MS gulf coast and want to be able to to islands without having to be on the ferry's schedule. I want to explore our local rivers, also.
You won't regret it, it has been so much fun owning the trixx, it's a blast

Would this ski be ok as a tender to a Boat ? We’d like to put it on the swim platform and use it to and from Beach two up. Along with a bit of fun in the sea one up.
Yes it would be a good fit for that because it is lightweight. I see sparks at the marina on the swim decks of boats frequently
Do you know how this compares to a 98 seadoo xp limited?
Never ridden a 98 xp but the trixx is playful and nimble, I believe the trixx is bigger but I could be wrong

@@jseaber stoked for you, it's supposed to start warming up soon and you'll be able to rip that fully loaded spark
Shred Shack when it warms up I would suggest getting that awesome bolt on riva intake kit with the K&n filter. It moved the intake to the far front of the craft away from the motor so when it gets really hot the engine won’t lag. Which I heard happens if you go full throttle. But then again your riding in 40 degree weather lol

How much of a discount did you get buying it in the off season? I got quoted 6500 for a spark at a feb boat show. Am wondering if that was a deal or not
No discount, just a 250$ rebate gift card and 3 year warranty. Price hardly goes much lower

How reliable are these things have you had like any mechanical issues because when I had a seadoo all I had were problems but it was a two stroke...
Aside from user error issues, I’ve had no issues, 100 hours plus on each pwc
Shred Shack user error issues as in what like people flipping it?
The gti I own was flipped over and took on the water, the trixx had loose battery terminals which was easily tightened and sucking up items into the propeller like bottle caps
Shred Shack when you sucked up bottle caps did you have to replace anything?
No I got lucky and nothing broke. Wear rings breaking are a common problem though so I do have a spare wear ring on standby
What type of suit are you wearing? How cold was it when you filmed this video?
Henderson 5mm wet suit. Air temp was 55-60, water temp around 45

I like the speed and and trixx but I don't know which one to buy it makes me feel bored just doing long rides without tricks what do you recommend me since I've been looking so many used seadoo or jetski they seem suspicious 20 years old with 30 or 40 hour only hard to believe that's why I'm getting a new one but don't know which one
So far I have 78 hours on the trixx and it’s been good so far. The issues I had were more to do maintenance issues that were my fault and easily fixed. So I love my trixx but it depends how and where you ride. The Trixx is clearly slower than a supercharged pwc but it is way more fun I think. If you ride in choppy water and do long rides the trixx can be abusive. I find myself falling behind in the group when we do longer ocean rides. But if you can muscle through it, and probably upgrade to the comfort seat, the trixx is so fun
how much was this total with trailer off the dealers? Thinking about getting one
So I added a double trailer to mine so it bumped the price up a bit, but you're probably looking at 8k-8.5k depending on dealer fees and availability of trailers.
Can you upgrade any parts to get a higher top speed? Besides anything major.
There are few things you can upgrade to get more speed but generally you only a little bit of top speed, around the 53-55 mph range. It does add a bit of acceleration. The most common upgrade is getting a tune to about 110Hp which can be done through reliable tuning or riva are the popular and reliable ones.

Should i buy the spark trixx or the gti se 170 ?
depends on your style of riding, the gti 170 is going to be slightly faster, more comfortable/stable, and it's going to have more features and storage. The trixx is just a fun small machine that can do wavies and such
At 30mph how far can you cruise?
I'm not sure on actual distance, but a full tank will last me around 6-8 hours usually
Who only does 30? And doing tricks will use more gas too. Along with taking off fast. What are you? 70 years old? Hahahaha

I don’t recommend buying a seadoo spark tricks for $12000 go buy a 1995 to 1997 xp800 has 110hp and dose everything that a spark can do for $4000 to $5000. Or you can get the xp951 has 130hp for around the some price. Forget about 60 to 90 hp Plastic piece of junk I can’t see a spark lasting 20 years
your prices are way off, the trixx was 8k and worth it imo. Not everyone is willing to buy a pwc that they will probably have to work on. Happy shredding either way though

It does not, this is a 2020. You can choose to buy it as an extra and add it on though.
It's an option. Mine is an 18 and it has that option.

I've topped out at 51 barely, but it generally averages 48. 55 on stock for an average top speed doesn't seem right.
SozzledCamera46 They don’t go 55 stock. Something serious has been done to it or speed is wrong. Any dealer will confirm this. The 155’s barely go 55.
Mine topped out at 51 with wind at my back. Usually it's 48 or 49. No way yours did 55 stock. My buddy has two of them also and his hit 50 once and that's it.

these are only meant for one person?
I made a video showing what’s it like to have 2 people on a 2 up spark trixx, generally speaking 2up feels like a 1 up and 3 up feels like a 2 up. You can put passengers on sparks but there’s better options if you intend to cruise with passengers a lot
How is the fuel on this?
It’s good, it’s really fuel efficient so even with a smaller tank it lasts about the same as our rxt 230 and gti 130

Are you serious? Have you ridden a Trixx? It's not the fastest on the lake by any means. But in the fun category, this thing is top notch.
I bought an 18 in the same year. We just took delivery of a 2021 for my wife. We're loving then. Anyone that has ridden mine always has a blast. I have three other friends that have them as well. They all love them.

They buy them because they are cheap, find out why with the type of riding we do, sell them in a month and upgrade.
@@sirfitz8125 okay. So for the type of riding that you do, this machine is not valid. But that doesn't take the machines to the "next level of douche". It just means that they're not good machines for what you do. I know a bunch of people that ride them on inland lakes and they're a blast.

My 2019 died at 11 months. No parts from Sea-Doo for repair. been in the shop a month. Part not available for another month. Sea-Doo customer service is rude and not responsive. Don't buy a Sea-Doo if you actually want to ride...
what did they say was wrong with it?
@@ShredShack originally the said an injector was bad so waited 2 weeks for an injector and it wasn't the problem. Now the say it needs a new ECU.

If you buy from a dealer they will usually include a trailer if they have them. It’s pretty much built into the cost of dealer fees etc.

@@ShredShack yes I just loved the xp in the 2000's, it was like a bike which I raced mx so I loved it and it was fast. Dont get me wrong, I'd love a trixx cus it's the only ski that's small besides a standup, just wish it had about 130hp. Love your videos man, keep it up!!

@@ShredShack you should watch some videos of rickter stand up jet skis, you can do back flips on flat water. And you can do 180's on your trixx as well, keep riding and push yourself, it so much fun!
