Nightwish itself is an entity that consist of truly beautiful people. So it is no wonder that this band brings people together. No matter if people react because of the flooding in of the Nightwish army. Reactors get something they never expected. Kindness, appreciation, good comments, people that really care. That is the magic of this band. And it has become the magic of your channel. Your magic was always there from the beginning. I think Nightwish, just gave you channel that little spark, you needed. The spark you deserved, for being such a beautiful soul. Blessed Be
I really appreciate your view and heart in this matter. I love the organic discovery of music. I never expected so many amazing people to join me on this journey ❤
I’ve been waiting for someone to have the courage to say what you have just said. Yes, there are a lot of reactors who react for likes and they rely on the good grace of the Nightwish army to engage with them. To me they are easy to spot and I’m very choosy as to who I will give a subscription to. Needless to say to say, you have my subscription Tommy. I like your eloquence and sensitivity and there is no faking your love of Nightwish and the community. As for the song, one word: genius.
This song gets better every time I listen to it, it might be a top 15 Nightwish song for me. Not only does it sound amazing, I have no problem with the mixing, but the story and the message is so brilliantly written. Edit: After listening to the album for the last few days, I think it's just outside my top 15 now because Hiraeth and The Weave are in without question!
As always......Nightwish does it again. This band is such a juggernaut! Floor sounds like perfection like she always does. The music is rocking as it always does. Such a good song. Just a beautiful piece of music turned up to 11 with the passion and gravitas that NW always brings to a track.
I'm glad you didn't cut that part out. As a 25 year Nightwish fan and at times avid consumer of reactions I've seen it all and what you said is 100% true. I have to admit I was sceptical of you at first too, because often the ones who do it for views and subscribers do it when they start up their channels for a kick start. And there you were, with almost no content and doing very positive Nightwish reactions. But I've appreciated all your content I've seen, admittedly have not had time to watch too much lately. However you'll have my subscription forever Tommy my friend. This one is by far my favorite of the new singles. Keep up the good work!
With Nightwish, you can always count on one thing: They don't repeat themselves. A new album is always a step forward, following Nightwish is a journey.
I love your heartfelt opening to this reaction.❤ The band is so underrated or even known in the US. If not for cover artists and reactors, many of us would have never been enriched by this and several other bands overlooked by the US music machine. GREAT reaction! I thank you once again💙🤘🤘🤘
@stpfs9281 I'm not sure that is all of it because there have been some very successful bands in the US from other countries. I do believe it is more the "made for quick turns on the radio" prejudice and the "formula" that labels see as more profitable. 🤷♀️ Just my guess....
Glad you didn’t cut that part out but us listeners can definitely tell which reaction is genuine and which is just for views, so never mind that! The song is so majestic, it’s almost like 3 or 4 songs combined in such a unique way… I really loved it and it’s on repeat since it was released 😅
Its a masterpiece! Love this song, Kai's drumming is fantastic! Just a cracking song, brings out the best of all members in my opinion. Such a tight band! Love love love. Thank you as always for the reactions!
Hi there😊 This music piece is in my top 5 of Nightwish songs. The lyrics are beautiful and so meaningful. The journey of life, so beautifully encapsulated in the lyrics wow. Nightwish always works with the best orchestra in London and it took 6 months for him, the conductor, the orchestra and choir to write out the music for all these instruments and to record it. This was recorded 6weeks after Floor gave birth to her daughter, insane! They all went to Floor’s place to record the album, in between she could nurse the little one. Floor is a vocal beast ❤ I am going to check if you responded on “Lantern lights” already. Hope you are doing well!
Another extraordinary creation from the masters, and another great reaction from yourself - glad that Nightwish brought us all together, to be, at least a small part of each others story 🤘
Hi. I follow your reactions since your first Nightwish one. I totally agree to your thoughts about reactors and yes, there are great differences. But do not underestimate the intelligence of us listeners. I am just addicted to Nightwish and Floor's solo stuff and so if I read their name somewhere I simply have to click and listen. I know that some people do it for the amount of clicks to get, but here I say: I give a f**k why they do it. I know who has to get a subscription from me and when I only like the song. As passionate lover of my favourite band I simply don't care, cause I do not listen because of the reactor but my band. Mostly. Happily we also have reactors like you are, who recognize good music. They don't have to be as addicted or weird like I am, but they show respect - that is what I expect. To the song itself: A journey thru all the stages of Tuomas life, lyricly taking each island as a person he met and the memories and feelings they give him in review and musically covering most stages the band evolved till today. Elements of Once, passion Play, Imaginarium and human|nature - probably even more. If there is a masterclass of composing and writing lyrics this song has to be the ground book for each student. And to me, always expecting the best from my band, it is ranking top3 of all their catalog for sure. So, enough blubbering here, I love your emotional and respectful reactions and will follow you with joy and pride. Greetings from Germany
Floors Stimme, Troy mit seiner Flöte ein einmaliges Feuerwerk der Emotionen, wie eine Welle schwingt sich diese Melodie in das Herz, eine Gänsehaut die kommt und geht.
Nightwish singles tend to be relatively tame, lacklustre songs from the album - they tend to be promotional singles to tease the casual listener from a broad pop/rock audience. "Elan", "Amaranth", "Wish I Had An Angel" are all catchy, but arguably the weak songs from their respective albums. If you're seasoned lover of symphonic metal, usually the album will be of much a higher calibre, and the best song is never a single lol.
This song has so much of what I love about NIghtwish wrapped up in a breezily-fast 9 and a half minute bow. Ps, I can honestly say you’re purely in it for the music and not the clicks - it’s pretty clearly about the journey of discovery you’re on, and we’re loving taking it with you. Much love and respect from Sydney, Australia
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard - a genius composition and execution. Complex. Deep. Powerful. It will take me a while to ponder the depths of the lyrics. Thanks for reviewing this, and for your honest approach to your craft.
everything from Floor's absolutely range with her higher registers Emppu's leads and really heavy rhythms and lead with Kai's awesome and really brutal fast quick drumming rhythms and Jukka's bass sounds good
The authenticity of your reactions and genuine love of music are exactly why people enjoy watching your channel. It's incredibly heartwarming to see someone fall in love with a band or song that you adore and even better when you get to become a part of their journey, discovering new music alongside them.
Tuomas said this song is about people we meet along the way in life, each person represent a island, or a happening in your life, and the one steering the ship, Tuomas, or maybe you.. it could be your story right, but Tuomas proberly did write it as him steering the ship. Thats hust one take on it, cause Tuomas also said the song could have a triple meaning. feel some imaginarium vibes here, also some melody parts reminds a bit if the NW song Sahara.. i do think its a great song, i didnt catch it at first listen, i was also pretty tired, maybe thats why, but now i get on a journey with it, sailing this ship to diffrent island, and in the end with the pipes we port.. love it!!
It's what puts you head & shoulders above the rest. You say how you feel, you play what you feel. There are so many reactors who barely let you hear the song, constant chat and pausing, more interested in themselves then the band/song. There are many bands/songs you react too that are not to my taste, but as you say, that's not the point, it's the journey and discovering what lies around the corner. Keep up the good work man, it is appreciated by many here.
I understand what you mean, but it would be tragic to miss good music just because some people use it for their gain. I think there are a lot of us longtime fans who are just glad to see if someone sincerelly enjoys what we know to be the music of our lives 😊. Greetings from Finland! 🇫🇮
I listened to the orchestral version of the album today, absolutely majestic. Orchestral, not instrumental, it's a big difference in this case. Huge difference! Scores 7 out of 3.
I remember when we first met on twitch and then i discovered you had this channel. You my brother are a genuine soul . This song while we were listening to it, made me feel like i was listening to every era of Nightwish all at once and i love it! Keep doing what you do man. Its nice to see people genuinely loving what they react to.
Chase Carnesson is another person whose reactions I respect. When I look for reactions on Nightwish, I try to find musicians who do it, and over time, I've sorted out those who I don't like.
When Shudder Before the Beautiful, Scaretale and Dark Chest of Wonders have a love triangle baby 😊 This is the best song since Greatest Show. It's damn near perfect
Hi Tommy. You are a true authentic. You are right that many just react for views and subs. I often start watching a ractor and after a few songs I feel they arent really trying to understand the music, the story, the message - the band. I stop watching many after a while Some I continue to watch because, like you, they are genuine. Obviously Chase and Bemusing Bill, Sue and Wolf and others are really doing the rwaction for the "right" reasons. I am glad you are one of them. Another music video on Friday to mark the album release and its reckoned to be one of the best by some who have had previews of the album. The band allowed two weeks to record Floor's vocals for the entire album. She was done in 6 days
And I've been here waiting why any of the reactors I'm used to watching isn't reacting to this. This song is so wonderful and great and everything else! It's a long time since I've been this excited about a single. I'm happy you reacted to this and loved it like me and so many others 😊
Brother. This is to me Tuomas' magnum opus. This song is just out of this world. From a member of the Nightwish Army that has the privileges' to have worked all around the world..
Hey Cosmic, been a hot minute... I'm glad you made the call out you did. It's frustrating when I see reaction videos for bands that have truly touched me and you can tell the person listening/watching really just isn't into the song but they try to force some kind of "wow!" reaction to make it seem like they connected. If you don't feel it, you don't feel it. Review a different song maybe. Keep doing your thing man, I remember checking out your vids a year or so ago when you were just starting and I still feel like we're buddies even though we've never met or spoke. You just have that vibe of being a dude looking for music that touches him because that's what you're passionate about. Keep it up bro.
This one is also my favorite of the new batch so far. Can't wait for Sept 20th for more. As for youtubers reacting for the wrong reasons, they usually tip their hand after a handful of songs. ( and I wouldn't be surprised if a few became Nightwish fans in spite of their initial motivations )
you are absolutely right about some reactors doing it only for clicks, but they are easily spotted, their reactions tend to be nondescript and very brief. I subscribed to your channel because it was obvious your reactions were thoughtful, genuine, and heartfelt; you were under the Nightwish spell, caught in the magic, a true member of the Army. Thank you for today's great reaction to this new song. The themes have matured through the years, i find this wonderful. Tuomas is a genius!
I'd been meaning to preorder the album for ages, and I enjoyed the previously released songs a lot; but this one totally blew me away, and I ordered the earbook immediately using the link from the band's website - I could have got it cheaper elsewhere but hopefully more of the money will go to them this way. Yes they are all doing great, but Kai and Emppu are the stars here IMO. I needed something like this right now, so gld they provided it!
The Army knows full well that there are the click seekers. I know I genuinely don't mind because I figure there may be some that already follow that channel who will be honestly impressed by this band. Thanks for that heartfelt explanation, though we didn't really need it. We get it and that is why so many of us subscribed.
There is no doubt that some reactors use Nightwish, Falling in reverse, Ren, and other artists with decent fan bases as a way of generating likes and subs for their channel without any real interest in exploring and discovering music. I love all these artists but for me the key to subbing is to look at the breadth of what reactors react to and the comments and analysis that they bring to their channel. That is why I am here listening to you. You have an authentic and honest response to a wide range of artists, many without the instant click success of Nightwish. That is value, that is credibility! You also seem to be in control of your content, exploring where you want to go rather than being a slave to patreon or financially supported requests, that too is vital to keep the channel real even accepting the need for some financial return to support content creation.
I cheated and watched it earlier but yeah bro.. I will say JUKKA! KAI! EMPUU! were working HARD on this song. Everyone was spectacular of course, our goddess Floor included. But wow this goes hard. I will have to hear it many more times to get it all, but color me impressed, I think this might be the best of the 3 releases and I can't wait for the album to come out. I certainly hope in the future NW can tour in the years to come. As for other reactors.. we NW fans know the real appreciators from the ones chasing clicks and likes and subs. That's why we landed.. and stayed here. This was a great time! ♥and
You are correct my friend. We can tell who those phony reactors are. You can't fake passion for music. You feel it and most reactors aren't good actors. I appreciate and understand where you are coming from. Musicians, like the rest of us mature as does their music and their artistic expression. This will be stunning in a live performance.
Greetings from the UK. Thanks for another great reaction (to a song that gets better with repeat hearing) and your comments before the reaction started. I am sure that all sorts of folks leap in the Nightwish train and react for the numbers game. I can't believe that there are so many reactors who are doing a "first time hearing" of Ghost love score for example. This is also brought into focus by the number of new names who appear whenever a new track is dropped and then disappear when the initial rush is over. Call me a cynic if you like - just my opinion. Keep the good work
I would like to see (and hear) your reaction on "Stargazers" from Nightwish, preferably the live version from Tampere 2015. A beautiful song about our planet Earth.
I know what you mean. I've seen it with some reactors, they do a bunch of NW songs early on to get the channel going cause they know the NW army will give them a ton of wiews. Some become genuine NW fans and that's always fun to see, then there are those who just do it for the wiews. Idk, i get why they do it but i don't like the fakeness of it Anyway, this f*cking song..., it has everything i love with NW and then some. I love how everyone in the band gets to shine in it. Kai going beast mode on the drums, Emppu doing plenty of badass riffing, Jukka with that awesome bass tone, Floor being the goddess she always is and lastly, Troy and his magical pipe calming things down and taking the listener to some fantasy land, all under the supervision of Maestro Holopainen who keeps forcing me to google english words i've never heard despite it's not even his first language. What a freaking wizard that guy is.
I wanna know how Kai brews his coffee. That opening 90 seconds is so much more that just 16 on the floor. Loads of rhythmic textures. Very Scot Buchanan. @11:30 Was that Floor, or Jukka? Fry through a 10 meter pipe. And there was some serous chunky chugginess just after that... a littbit of the Nightwish I'm always glad to see and hear. So glad Emppu has a place to shine. So hey, I hope you are doing well.... the challenge is real, constant, unyielding in its ability to expose my folly (e.g. WHY did I buy something with a Triton engine? ... I knew better, lol). But it's like there's always a crack in the wall, a seem of light to move towards, a hope as thin as a sheet of paper... I guess it's up to us turn turn that thin edge over and write our story upon it. .... I sometimes wonder who reads those things?... Are we all worth reading? I kinda hope that my story, if and when it is read, isn't drenched in the current contexts... to find oneself skipping like one of those satellites which hop the crests of little gravity hotspots, racing planet-to-planet and eventually exiting the solar system... (does this even make sense? Lemme get N-dG Tyson in here) Anyway. Random thoughts. Hey, good to hear from you again.
Hey Tommy been a while son, I seriously hope you enjoyed the summer. Do me a favor please🙏 and find the time to watch the boys from Nightwish (no Floor) sit with a fella called "Ismo" as he reacts to their song "Perfume of the Timeless" from their new album as well. The boys crack up laugh through the whole thing, I really enjoyed watching it I hope you do to! It is on their site to view, so happy your still with us in the "army", enjoy the week!☮☯
I've always thought that your Nightwish reactions were coming from a place love and trust me, I have seen some less than genuine reactions from other people. With a band as big as Nightwish the reactions of fakers are easy to sort out. BTW this song is so good! 🦋🦋
I watched another reaction to this song just before this and she also started with the same type of comment you had on "genuine" reactors. You are for sure one of the real ones my dude. Aslo; Your reaction to the song was the same as mine!
Nightwish's most Nightwish Song...(if that makes sense), Where old meets new.... Our Metal Mozart Strikes Again!!! NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA 🤘😎🤘.
No worries, you talked the truth and sometimes it is so obvious. BUT then again the fame and gossip of Nightwish and their music will only lead for their benefit in the end, they start to gain the fame and success they have deserved for decades. Only thing i do not like are the people, who do their own mixes of getting the Lead vocals more louder in their manipulated mixes and spread it around. They are twisting/forging the art that the artist has wanted to create and share - Tuomas was daily involved in the lengthy 4-6 months mixing process, so it was not an error made by the mixer, it is the way Tuomas wanted to experiment different ways of creating sounds where the lead vocal is only one of the sounds and not the main sound! I mean, would these people go to museum and start painting brighter colours on top of Rembrandt painting or replace words of a Shakespeare to more modern ones suiting their opinion. You take the art as it is, if you do not like it, then do not listen to it, listen something else with traditional mixing. People of today are so blindly selfish and everything should be like they like or they take the liberty to change the art/songs with the technology - no true fan would ever do it, some people are too long been exposed to a certain industry way of playing songs with radio friendly structures or mixes cannot understand a controversial or different way of composing music!
Tuomas déjà vu themes. Did you catch the shout-outs? "The Butterfly Effect"? Verse 1 “A Mariner under a sky Moonlit” [GLS?] “Crewless ship” [The Islander? “Shipless crew”, Yesterwynde] A "Siren"? “A few decades” [Endlessness?] “A one-man crew for a one-way trip” [The Islander?] “Every shore I land”, (A painter, on the shore). [Storytime, Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean?] “Steep cliffs” Where the cliff greets the sea... [Élan?] "Not Waving but Drowning" is a poem by Stevie Smith. The Butterflies looking like a Galaxy, or 3D animation of cells. More Metal, old skool! Verse 2 The spelling to amuse the Americans, Cay, then Quay. “Jokers, jesters” [Raving harlequins, gigantic toys? Tricksters, magicians: Last Ride Of The Day?] “Goddesses, hominidae” Floor, humans. “Deep delicious blue beneath” [TPATP, H:||:N: The Blue] “Light a homefire for the sad man with a begging hand” [Song of Myself?] "Bring Me to Life"! [For the Reactors! Don't mention "Eva…”. Also Élan] “Dancing, in the daylight” [Dancing in the dark?] “Saaail and seeeek!” [Hide and seek] Calling you, calling me [sounds like Northward] To be a part of your story [Never Ending Story?] Those smiles and grins! Is it building? [Set the Dolphins Free!] Ominous horns The Butterfly Effect, the sail lining up with the clouds, forming a twister (three times). Did you notice the sail lining up with the clouds, forming a Twister? Then it's repeated, in case you missed it! Verse 3 “Raining ash” [Pompeii?] "An island of past wrecks"; The Antikythera mechanism (the next track). “Endless sundown” [Sleeping Sun?] “Meadows” [Of Heaven?] “Mirrors, mirrors, everywhere” [Noise? The Black Mirror] "Mad despair!” [Scaretale!] Friends, who were for a time “Now grapes of sour wine” [Sour grapes is a phrase that means acting meanly after a disappointment. An idiom that means being angry or resentful because you have not achieved something you wanted.] “Lords of a single fly” [Lord of the Flies, William Golding, Children of 'Ata didn't regress, they were here] "Let it be"... [Nice reference to Abbey Road Studios] Film scores (Tuomas and Floor both like the music of Hans Zimmer). “Saaaaail and Seeeeek!” As John Wick once said: “Yeah, I’m thinking I’m back!" That was crunchy and chunky... Love the stop-motion. Is it over? "Titanic" vibes from Troy, letting his Uilleann pipes speak across the centuries. How does it have that effect on us? The calm after the storm. The soft woodwind, choir, hmmm.
This is a banger and the last two minutes with Troy perhaps the most beautiful piece of music I ever heard. I can listen to it over and over again. On the critical side I find the mix slightly too massive leaving no air. I want to hear whats happining because so many beautiful things are happening there. Give them more space to come forward. Including Floor. Having that said I absolutely think Nightwish proves again they are still at the top. Music for eternity. Mozart move over.
The Troy section on this is truly beautiful, but for me the orchestral during the soft bridge in Shudder before the Beautiful is the most beautiful melody I've ever heard, I want them to play that at my funeral, it just gets me every single time
Tuomas is a genius...as is every other player in that troop. They are teh greatest composition band in the world, when all the others are saying "All the single ladies". Kai's best hardest set Fckn awesome
I understand your opinion about those reactors... But, to play devil's advocate, when you are beginning with reactions and you get tons of reccomendations to watch GLS, you will make it "finally". And with the Nightwish Army which suddenly comes from nowhere, what is easier than just do what they want from you - listen to all live recordings of them and say what they want to hear?
I fear you are right. Those reactors can easily be found: They only play the music video, say "yes, really good" or something like this and that was it. Compared to your reactions and that e.g. of Eric Clark or The Charismatic Voice this is really poor. I have learned a lot from reactors like you and the reactors named before about the songs, singing techniques etc., sometimes totally new view points. By the way, I love this song, the beautiful music and lyrics and the combination of heavy and folk. I know a lot of fans do not like "new" Nightwish, e.g. the mixture in which Floor's voice is more one instrument out of six instead of standing in the front of the music. I just love their evolution and that they still have the courage to try new ways.
Nightwish is my favorite modern band. So it it’s hard to criticise them. But I’ve got to be honest I just don’t like the mix on these new songs. You have the greatest singer on the planet and she’s pushed way down in the mix. I just don’t get it. That Being said, it’s hard to judge these songs until I hear them live. I grew to love the songs on Endless Forms Most Beautiful after I heard them live. But that’s not happening for what ever reason. I just can’t help But think this is their St. Anger.
i think st anger is an exaggeration... i'm not oblivious to the fact that floor is hard to hear but having gone back through the discography in preparation for the album, i have to say i hear floor as well as tarja on the older albums. it's not as clear as it should be but st anger? no
Yup, the issue with Floor being deliberately drowned the mix remains (and Emppu reduced to chugga-chugga; the redundant Troy appendices/epilogues; the overbearing classical orchestration changing melodic metal into filmscore rock; too much syllables/txt randomly thrown at a rhythm, cuz "Floor will make it work", etc.). Anyhew. On the albums the trend is pretty clear by now: Floor has become all but another brick in the Holopainen monument. Live shows would offer her a chance to at least add some spark to the deliberately muffled vocals, which may be one of the reasons why she's been rather p!ssed off by the decision not to tour the album.
Have listened on Sony WH-1000XM5, home HIFI Bose system and on Bang Olufsen car stereo on Hi-Res Lossless Dolby Atmos, the mix is still bad. There is a reason why this is a recurring topic on all the released songs so far, we're not imagining this. Easy to compare one of these songs with pretty much any other song on streaming media and you clearly hear that this mix is poor. Floor is reduced to backing vocals, even Empuus solo is drowning. Songs are incredible, but the mix is poor. Also, people shouldn't have to buy expensive sound systems to enjoy music, a good mix sounds good on most systems, this doesn't. It's a shame. In my youth I was in a band and we released a couple of albums, when we mixed the songs in the studio we tested the mix by playing it on the cheapest, crappiest cassette player we could find, if it sounded decent on that we knew the mix was ok.
I don't remember who said (producer/mixer Tero Kinnunen or Tuomas) that you can't listen to this album with laptop speakers or an iPad. You get the best listening experience with decent speakers or headphones.
I'm not a TH-cam creator, but I have my own projects, and it's a very carefull balance one has to keep to stay real, and not going for something just to get popularity and get your message across. Popularity and fame can be addictive. I'm happy you're keeping it real! ☺

Nightwish itself is an entity that consist of truly beautiful people. So it is no wonder that this band brings people together. I really appreciate your view and heart in this matter. I love the organic discovery of music. I never expected so many amazing people to join me on this journey ❤
Nightwish has just shared your Instagram story!!! I've got goosebumps when I saw you there!!!
I JUST SAW!!!! THATS INSANE!
I’ve been waiting for someone to have the courage to say what you have just said. Yes, there are a lot of reactors who react for likes and they rely on the good grace of the Nightwish army to engage with them. As for the song, one word: genius.
Thank you so much for your input and kind words. ❤
I fully agree and could not have said it better. No need for bandwagons, please do what you do. You're needed in an Internet starved of genuinity
Yea this just felt right! Its incredible
Same here - a stunning song! Top 10 for me.
Compouser Tuomas Holopainen metal Mozart
This is a masterpiece of epic brilliance.

As always......Nightwish does it again. This band is such a juggernaut! Floor sounds like perfection like she always does. The music is rocking as it always does. Such a good song. Just a beautiful piece of music turned up to 11 with the passion and gravitas that NW always brings to a track.
I can't believe I've never heard them before. This is such a long, enjoyable musical experience. Thanks!
Thank you for your amazing reaction this song is a Masterpiece I can't stop listening to this song thank you Nightwish and to the queen of metal Floor

Updated version of Nightwish. Perfection.

I love your heartfelt opening to this reaction.❤ The band is so underrated or even known in the US. If not for cover artists and reactors, many of us would have never been enriched by this and several other bands overlooked by the US music machine. GREAT reaction! I thank you once again💙🤘🤘🤘

The embargo of not "Made in America"?
@stpfs9281 I'm not sure that is all of it because there have been some very successful bands in the US from other countries. I do believe it is more the "made for quick turns on the radio" prejudice and the "formula" that labels see as more profitable. 🤷♀️ Just my guess....
Wow, I'm hearing something very new and exciting here
Glad you didn’t cut that part out but us listeners can definitely tell which reaction is genuine and which is just for views, so never mind that!
The song is so majestic, it’s almost like 3 or 4 songs combined in such a unique way… I really loved it and it’s on repeat since it was released 😅
This song was just...perfection! So a good time!
Love this musical journey ❤❤❤
Great concert opener 😁
Would be awesome live with a full orchestra and choir❣️

Thanks Wolff buddy for all you said...right there with you my friend. And oh yeah, this tune kicked a__ all around!!! 😊💙✌🤘
Its a masterpiece! Love this song, Kai's drumming is fantastic! Just a cracking song, brings out the best of all members in my opinion. Such a tight band! Love love love. Thank you as always for the reactions!
OHHHH THIS WAS SOOOOO GOOD!
Hi there😊
This music piece is in my top 5 of Nightwish songs.
Floor is a vocal beast ❤
I am going to check if you responded on “Lantern lights” already.
Hope you are doing well!
Hey you, no lantern lights yet but did do Stargazers hehe
Another extraordinary creation from the masters, and another great reaction from yourself - glad that Nightwish brought us all together, to be, at least a small part of each others story 🤘
🤗🍒🤘🏻 Great Job again Tommy and good to have you back
Thank you kindly
Much love to you, and thank you so much for the kind words!
Floors Stimme, Troy mit seiner Flöte ein einmaliges Feuerwerk der Emotionen, wie eine Welle schwingt sich diese Melodie in das Herz, eine Gänsehaut die kommt und geht.
Well said❤
This is The Nightwish song I was waiting for. The first two singles didn't really work for me but this one just blows my mind.
@@ImmortalDecemberAgree to your point, but i really like those songs too! You know.. “The best NW song’s the one playing”!
Thanks so much for being here and taking time. It really has been an amazing journey!
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard - a genius composition and execution. Complex. Deep. Powerful. It will take me a while to ponder the depths of the lyrics. Thanks for reviewing this, and for your honest approach to your craft.
I knew you would like it
everything from Floor's absolutely range with her higher registers Emppu's leads and really heavy rhythms and lead with Kai's awesome and really brutal fast quick drumming rhythms and Jukka's bass sounds good
Metal Mozart can do what ever...a masterpiece row continues.
The authenticity of your reactions and genuine love of music are exactly why people enjoy watching your channel. It's incredibly heartwarming to see someone fall in love with a band or song that you adore and even better when you get to become a part of their journey, discovering new music alongside them.
I'm so glad you came along for the ride!
Tuomas said this song is about people we meet along the way in life, each person represent a island, or a happening in your life, and the one steering the ship, Tuomas, or maybe you.. it could be your story right, but Tuomas proberly did write it as him steering the ship.
Thats hust one take on it, cause Tuomas also said the song could have a triple meaning.
feel some imaginarium vibes here, also some melody parts reminds a bit if the NW song Sahara.. i do think its a great song, i didnt catch it at first listen, i was also pretty tired, maybe thats why, but now i get on a journey with it, sailing this ship to diffrent island, and in the end with the pipes we port.. love it!!
I cant wait to hear the whole album
Well said Tommy.
This music is insane... ❤❤ Just amazing 😮😮😮❤❤
A truly fantastic song!
Appreciate you Howl!!! You have always been so encouraging and I don't take that for granted
I feel you brother
Yep…o my fucking wauw!!! 🤟🤟🤟
want to see it LIVE !!!!!!!!!!! EPIC - The symphony orchestra is fantastic
My favorite frthis album is The Weave, it's becoming my favorite Nightwish son.
We appreciate you too 🥰🥰🥰 love your reactions , they are great 👍
You're the best!
Lanternlight is another beautiful new song!
I got it coming.

Best song of the album!!! Love love love it!!!❤
I understand what you mean, but it would be tragic to miss good music just because some people use it for their gain. I think there are a lot of us longtime fans who are just glad to see if someone sincerelly enjoys what we know to be the music of our lives 😊. Greetings from Finland! 🇫🇮
Great point. Appreciste you taking time to be here friend❤
Dude thanks so much for sticking around! That means the world man.
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody bro, you are great for making this channel for us all to come together.
Chase Carnesson is another person whose reactions I respect. When I look for reactions on Nightwish, I try to find musicians who do it, and over time, I've sorted out those who I don't like.
This is as Nightwish as it gets!🎸🤘
When Shudder Before the Beautiful, Scaretale and Dark Chest of Wonders have a love triangle baby 😊 This is the best song since Greatest Show. It's damn near perfect

And 'Meadows of Heaven' at the end
Hi Tommy. You are a true authentic. You are right that many just react for views and subs. I often start watching a ractor and after a few songs I feel they arent really trying to understand the music, the story, the message - the band.
I stop watching many after a while
Some I continue to watch because, like you, they are genuine.
What a journey its been Nick! thank you for giving me a chance❤
And I've been here waiting why any of the reactors I'm used to watching isn't reacting to this.
This song is so wonderful and great and everything else! It's a long time since I've been this excited about a single.
I'm happy you reacted to this and loved it like me and so many others 😊
Hi Tommy,
I'm still here, enjoying your journey 💪🤗.
Big hugs from Germany
One day, im gonna give you the biggest hug
@@TheWolffAndTheMelody 🤗🤗🤗
Brother. This is to me Tuomas' magnum opus. This song is just out of this world. From a member of the Nightwish Army that has the privileges' to have worked all around the world..
Dude, its really good!
Welcome to the journey, my friend.
@@Adriel1985 Keep kicking ass friend!!! Glad you are here still dude.
Appreciate you friend! Also im so excited for this album!!!
For me this is an epic Masterpiece! 😎🤘
@@scifimonkey3 That means so much! Ive met some of the coolest people ever on this journey!
♥and
Dudeee papa Jeff!!! This song blew me away!
This song is wonderful xx
You are correct my friend. We can tell who those phony reactors are. You can't fake passion for music. You feel it and most reactors aren't good actors. I appreciate and understand where you are coming from. Musicians, like the rest of us mature as does their music and their artistic expression. This will be stunning in a live performance.
Can't wait to one day see them live!
Keep the good work
much love friend! Appreciate your thoughts
Idk, i get why they do it but i don't like the fakeness of it
Anyway, this f*cking song..., it has everything i love with NW and then some.
Masterpiece!!!
Lemme get N-dG Tyson in here)
Anyway.

Yesterwynde will be out tomorrow, it is my favourite album from them. Heavy in so many accounts. Tomorrow Lanternlight video, which is ❤ 💔
Please react to Nightwish "Spider Silk"!!!
Tuomas déjà vu themes.
Did you catch the shout-outs?
"The Butterfly Effect"?
Verse 1
“A Mariner under a sky Moonlit” [GLS?]
“Crewless ship” [The Islander? “Shipless crew”, Yesterwynde]
A "Siren"?
“A few decades” [Endlessness?]
“A one-man crew for a one-way trip” [The Islander?]
“Every shore I land”, (A painter, on the shore). [Storytime, Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean?]
“Steep cliffs” Where the cliff greets the sea... [Élan?]
"Not Waving but Drowning" is a poem by Stevie Smith. The Butterflies looking like a Galaxy, or 3D animation of cells.
More Metal, old skool!
Verse 2
The spelling to amuse the Americans, Cay, then Quay.
“Jokers, jesters” [Raving harlequins, gigantic toys? Tricksters, magicians: Last Ride Of The Day?]
“Goddesses, hominidae” Floor, humans.
“Deep delicious blue beneath” [TPATP, H:||:N: The Blue]
“Light a homefire for the sad man with a begging hand” [Song of Myself?]
"Bring Me to Life"! [For the Reactors! Don't mention "Eva…”. Also Élan]
“Dancing, in the daylight” [Dancing in the dark?]
“Saaail and seeeek!” [Hide and seek]
Calling you, calling me [sounds like Northward]
To be a part of your story [Never Ending Story?]
Those smiles and grins!
Is it building?
[Set the Dolphins Free!]
Ominous horns
The Butterfly Effect, the sail lining up with the clouds, forming a twister (three times).
Did you notice the sail lining up with the clouds, forming a Twister? Then it's repeated, in case you missed it!
Verse 3
“Raining ash” [Pompeii?]
"An island of past wrecks"; The Antikythera mechanism (the next track).
“Endless sundown” [Sleeping Sun?]
“Meadows” [Of Heaven?]
“Mirrors, mirrors, everywhere” [Noise? The Black Mirror]
"Mad despair!” [Scaretale!]
Friends, who were for a time
“Now grapes of sour wine” [Sour grapes is a phrase that means acting meanly after a disappointment. An idiom that means being angry or resentful because you have not achieved something you wanted.]
“Lords of a single fly” [Lord of the Flies, William Golding, Children of 'Ata didn't regress, they were here]
"Let it be"... [Nice reference to Abbey Road Studios]
Film scores (Tuomas and Floor both like the music of Hans Zimmer).
“Saaaaail and Seeeeek!”
As John Wick once said: “Yeah, I’m thinking I’m back!"
That was crunchy and chunky... Love the stop-motion.
Is it over?
"Titanic" vibes from Troy, letting his Uilleann pipes speak across the centuries.
How does it have that effect on us?
The calm after the storm. The soft woodwind, choir, hmmm.
❤
This is a banger and the last two minutes with Troy perhaps the most beautiful piece of music I ever heard. I can listen to it over and over again. On the critical side I find the mix slightly too massive leaving no air. I want to hear whats happining because so many beautiful things are happening there. Give them more space to come forward. Including Floor. Having that said I absolutely think Nightwish proves again they are still at the top. Music for eternity. Mozart move over.
The Troy section on this is truly beautiful, but for me the orchestral during the soft bridge in Shudder before the Beautiful is the most beautiful melody I've ever heard, I want them to play that at my funeral, it just gets me every single time
😍🤘🤘🤘💥💪

Fckn awesome
Its time for you to dig into some Mayhem, Life Eternal live is a good start :)
Tuomas turned it up to 11 on this one, didn't he?
I just love their evolution and that they still have the courage to try new ways.
you were not wrong in saying 'shot tons of views' and there ARE tons of poser there
Nightwish is my favorite modern band. I just can’t help
But think this is their St. Anger.
Fix your sound system, I hear her just fine.
i think st anger is an exaggeration...
i'm not oblivious to the fact that floor is hard to hear but having gone back through the discography in preparation for the album, i have to say i hear floor as well as tarja on the older albums. it's not as clear as it should be but st anger? no
Yup, the issue with Floor being deliberately drowned the mix remains (and Emppu reduced to chugga-chugga; the redundant Troy appendices/epilogues; the overbearing classical orchestration changing melodic metal into filmscore rock; too much syllables/txt randomly thrown at a rhythm, cuz "Floor will make it work", etc.).
