      A lot of manufacturers have their "own" version of this kind of feature. My old Samsung S3 had it, and my current LG has it. Problem is that it's not universally implemented, meaning that it usually only works on a few selected apps that supports it. Putting this feature in stock android should mean that we could expect all of our favorite apps to support it eventually, leading to a more pleasant experience :)

      I wouldn't say iOS is sercure nothing is really "sercure" . In fact ironically enough its actually less sercure then Android for one specific reason because each version of iOS is the same across all iOS devices where as Android thanks to its fragmentation has a lot of different kernels and other variables to account for .
      however iOS is able to patch things quicker so it's as sercure as you can hope for anything tech related to be without encrypting litterarly everything

    • @gchatz6480
      @gchatz6480 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      nah, stock android is at least as secure as ios if not more, problem is with manufacturers skins of android.
      google is trying to split their systems so security and version updates would be pushed fast like stock no matter whatever crap the manufacturer has bloated the phone with.
      though its too slow process for whatever reason, each new version only has small such adjustments

      I know, right? Note 4 master race reporting in. I mean, I flashed Cyanogen Mod back when Lollipop came out but didn't stick with it for very long. Though some say it's shit, TouchWiz just feels right.

    • @MiChAeLoKGB
      @MiChAeLoKGB 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Again, TouchWiz split screen supports like 5 or 10 apps? I have Note 10.1 and I barely used it, because I do not use the apps that suport it... By contrast, now it will be supported by every app naively...
      Ps.: I do like stock Android much more than TouchWiz. I had multiple Sony and Samsung devices, but I stuck with my Nexus 5 since I bought it in 2013 and I still do not feel the need to really buy new phone. But we will see, I might buy new Pixel from Google, just to have Nougat.

      Yeah, but at least the split screen was kind of janky. And besides, taking things from one customization and adding it natively is always a good thing (at least when the features themselves are good)

      @ahmedsedqi2488 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      to be honest I didn't find the split screen janky on my phone it was kinda useful to me
      and yeah I do agree on adding them natively is much much better

      My Note5 do it better. I can spilit screen or just resize the window like we do in Computers, long press a picture from window and drag it to other, like we do with mouse and lots more even before Android 6.0!

      Yes....but now it's baked into the OS. So Samsung's bloated-as-hell OS can go die a slow and painful death. I do think it's funny that most of android's 'new' features have been on my rooted G3 for years...it's about time Google started supporting/pulling more from the Dev community!

      T. Creek They can be debloated easily...
      and other rooted phones could get them too by Xposed years ago, but not as stable as pre built in Samsung Note5 and later flagships.

    google cyanogenmod 12.1
    same thing, except compatible with sgs2 (and equivalents) and beyond.
    what's the downside? there has to be one.. rooting, flashing a new rom, and the occasional bug. that's it seeing as i got a sightly too recent update to my phone's rom (cm12.1 for sgs3), i have to pull out and reinsert the battery more often that most, but i can still flash something else!

      type 1 is freaking terrible, you can't get rid off it. *Most* type 2 people can get rid off it by simply working out and change their diet. I know, there are other type 2 diabetic people that aren't too fat and are healthy on that side.
      I just am freaking scared about my future, I will very likely lose a kidney in ~30-40 years. I keep my sugar relatively stable, but it's not as easy.
      I mean, I am very glad that I got it in this time, there are loads of amazing medication available, so I am not really complaining.
      But I wouldn't call type 1 "not as bad" as type 2.

    All of these features are in touchwiz and some in LG's UI, but having them in native stock android is a big step forward as those didn't really work well on touchwiz and the split screen feature will work with ALL apps instead of just samsung approved ones. Developers will have a great time porting their own versions of nougat.
