Image Transfer with Laser Jet Prints | More Gelli Prints for Collage Papers

- I accidentally did an image transfer with laser jet prints on my gelli plate. I tried once before to do a transfer with a laser jet print and it didn't work. I discovered the trick while making papers with paint over a laser printed sheet of paper. I was making a lot of prints and in one case I moved a little faster and go a transfer. So I tried it again and it worked again.

Yes.... if you want to do an image transfer... you use a laser print not an inkjet print. I love the way your laser printed words transfered! Very cool.
I had tried to do an image transfer from a laser before but I was leaving it on the plate too long. This was an accidental discovery. We learn by doing and doing. 😊
You have created some amazing prints!! I really love the text idea. Color choices are fabulous. I hope you do make more image transfer videos. it would be very helpful if you listed your paint choices. Thank you.
Thanks for the great ideas. Most of the time I do show the paint I'm using and I list it in the description. Transfer video will come after I've become more experienced with it. It is very tricky.
Your process is very interesting creating a batik quality to the prints. Thank you!
Glad you like them!
Really enjoyed watching!😊
Thanks.😎
Great find Susan!! I really like most of your prints. But I think you shouldn't have covered up the blue! I really liked those blue ones. Leaving it as is without printing over it again I think is better. ❤
I'm hope you're feeling better. Yes. Maybe. When I'm printing I try not to worry about ruining a nice print. I'm experimenting and enjoy the accidents. So of course, I'm not worrying about wasting paint. Nothing goes to waste. I like having lost of choices in my collage paper stash.
There gorgeous ,I love them !
Thanks.
I loved these! ❤️
Thanks
loved them all
Thanks. 😎
Love all your videos
Thanks for the feedback. 😎
Thank you for sharing your observations about what led to the image transfer. Transfers are still a happy accident for me, and I'm really tryig to be more intentional, thus more consistent. Hopefully this will work for me too. Just as soon as I learn more about "Laser Jet" printers...
I can only get it to work with the laser jet prints. I tried magazines and color laser jet and never could get it to work. I think it's a hard thing to do consistently.
Great video, love the prints and your color combinations!
Thanks so much!
Boy oh boy this video is inspiring. What a beautiful pile of papers you ended that session with. I can tell I'll need a bigger plate sooner rather than later. Happy Friday!
Same to you. Have a great weekend.
Love the transfer.
Thanks. I didn't think you could transfer from a laser copy. I love when I learn by accident.
☺
Fun to watch 😄 I like those masks you’re using. Did you make those? Please show us how.
I created the designs in Procreate and then cut them with a Cricut Joy. Here is the video: th-cam.com/video/zfoqrCOeUXI/w-d-xo.html
Great session… great results…is there anyway we can download your script paper please 😍
I think I'm going to create a resources page that will include these types of things. Will that work for you?
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🎨
Thanks ☺️
I noticed that the majority of your paint was Golden, but what type? Also, what brand of white transparent paint did you use?
The only white paint I use is titanium white. It is semi opaque but if you brayer it thinly it will be transparent. I use Golden Fluid mostly. In both painting and gel printing.
Thank you so much. Have you ever run across a gelli plate that won’t take paint?
There are laser prints and ink jet prints. But what are laser jet prints? I’ve never heard that term before.
I have a laser jet printer. So that is why I call them that. It's a toner based printer. Not injet and not color laser. I hope that clears it up.
@@SusanCliftonArtist Is that cheaper than a laser printer? I can’t afford a laser printer but would like to be able to make transfers more easily.
@63artemisia63 they came be cheap. I think we got this one for $75
I love your videos but it drives me nuts that you don’t give us enough time to see the art. You snatch it away really quickly.
I love the feedback. Thanks, I will do better.
