Hi Talia, I can totally relate with everything you said. I spent most of my life as a people pleaser but no longer I am the same person and I am really happy

I realized how toxically people pleasing I used to be 4 months ago. I have been meditating, journaling, & deleted all social media. Been leveling up & everyday I reinforce healthy habits it is easier to keep positive mindset. "before i would have said no dont worry about it" This is exactly how I've started to feel! "other people don't owe you anything" so true! At the start of my self awareness journey, I didn't have this understanding. I am excited to keep setting boundaries & developing the self awareness to recognize my ego & keep practicing the skill of observing my thoughts & instincts instead of acting on them!

This makes me so happy! The route that you're on, from my own experience, is COMPLETELY transformative and the rewards truly compound ❤ I love the positive changes you've already made and I really appreciate you sharing that with us
I love that you said 'excited' to set boundaries, that resonates so deeply with me because it seems scary up front, when you first make the decision to prioritise yourself, but there's SO MUCH empowerment and spaciousness on the other side
Sounds like you're making amazing progress, keep going!

you gave a great example, I'm gonna have to watch it again to let it all sink in

Amazing, and thank you! I wanted to give an example that was applicable to day to day. It's obvious boundaries are needed in bigger moments of conflict but if we're letting these mundane encounters slide, they can slowly chip away at us. And then we have no practice or confidence to back ourselves in the bigger moments

First thoughts upon hearing your voice is that it sounds awfully similar to The School of Life's narrator Alain de Botton's voice! It's definitely a nice voice and I wouldn't be surprised to hear it in such videos ^^
