    I just wonder if you can or you already have made a video showing a video with blurred background the people in the foreground. Still in focus and high detail. Or is this actually possible for this program. Thank you for your feedback. And the content that you share.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can create some depth of field using a mask and the blur effect. This is not the best way to do it though. The best way to do it would be during production by using a fast lens to create a shallow depth of field while shooting. By making the aperture wider (smaller f-number f/1.4 to f/4), you create a shallower depth of field. The person or object you are focusing on will be sharp and the background will be blurred. When you do this while shooting or during production there is no need to create the effect in post and it looks more professional.

      It's just a video clip with a transparent background (alpha channel). You can get them from stock footage websites, or make your own using a video compositor like HitFilm, After Effects, or Motion. Once you have the clip just add it to a timeline track like any other video clip and make sure it is below the track/clip that you want it to appear over.

    How do you make the mask stay in a fixed position while the picture position moves? Currently I have to create keyframes for the mask to move in opposite directions to the picture so that the edge of the mask stays in its positon on the screen. For example, my current project has three angles of a dancer. I have the screen split/masked into thirds - each third is showing a different angle of the dancer. I use PiP keyframes to keep the dancer centred in each section. But the masks are fixed to the picture... so the masks also move and cover the centre section. So I have to make motion keyframes for the mask.... which is tricky..... more than doubling the work. I thought there should be a checkbox of some sort to "hold" the masks in place so they do not follow the picture.

    • @PDU_Tutorials
      @PDU_Tutorials  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Alan Beasy Are you using ZPiP designer to move the video and keep it centered?

    • @alanbeasy1775

      PowerDirector University ZPIP designer? I have PD16. I manually position the video/picture so that the subject stays centred in the section of the screen where I want it (and two other “angle” shots of the same subject positioned in their respective sections of the screen.). So we are looking at three versions of the same action fro three different angles. So I have masked off each layer so that the others are visible. Obviously the subject moves.....so I have keyframed motion of each picture. The mask move with the picture in real time.....so I have to reposition the masks in real time.

    Hey Maliek,
    I recently bought the subscription to Powerdirector 365 Director Suite. As I was installing my downloads from the application manager, I noticed the tab next to it that said "Add-ons". I clicked on it, and saw a lot of options and started clicking download. Then, I noticed the little "i" beside the descriptions, so I clicked on that information button to read descriptions and noticed after clicking on like 10 of them that they had prices listed on the information page.
    Are the add-ons in that tab (in the application manager) free with the subscription, or did I just purchase like 10 of them by mistake?

    Question to all : Is it possible to get titles moving through screen like on news on something, and mask ends of it so it does not appear on edges of screen, but "marerializes" bit by bit some distance from the edge?
    in PD 16 i could not make dissapear text fluently, but whole words at once, and writing letter by letter would be a pain.
    Is title designer even capable of such thing?
    Maybe im left with paint net for the task only, so i'd have to limit text length.
