Awesome product you made here glen. I’ve been looking around for quite some time for a load cell braking system and now here it is. I’ll have to save up some funds and give this setup a try whenever it comes time
I just wanted to say that I hurt my back when I was 19 and braking on sims always caused me pain and stopped me from racing. That was until I found your paddle extenders a few years ago and was able to get back into it because of them, so I just wanted to leave this comment truly thanking you for making a product that let me keep racing.
I'm so glad you are able to enjoy sim racing again! You're welcome and thank you so much for your kind words. It helps keep me motivated for sure. Thanks! - Glenn Sidman
I did the same tbh and I almost went this route. I may in the future. But for the first 7 months it hurt so bad and of course we are told dont be to rough by doctors because of our spines etc. Well I stuck it out and went through the pain. My feet still go numb at times and yeah just is tough but I will say overtime now my back handles it so much more. My hips and legs are getting much stronger bevause of it and whats funny is I have less issues walking then ever before. I was worried the hurt and the uncomfortable feeling was telling me I'm making more damage. Come to find out its been the best physical therapy I could have asked for! So yeah its actually improved me and I'll never ever stop because of it. We aren't all the same though and your injury is probably more severe then mine but I still think some days getting something like this would help me out alot on those bad days.
Hey Glenn glad to see some content from you... Crazy that you posted this today as I just did my first live stream earlier with an on-board behind the wheel cam. I am still trying to figure out a load cell brake ring. A guy over in the UK is trying to help me figure it out, but havent made much progress.......I will be starting to live-stream more in hopes of growing the disabled sim racing community, but also to try getting the attention of ppl from IRL motorsports, DIT sim racers and anyone else that can help be figure out how to get this load cell brake ring built. I hope you will check it out... you still are and always will be the king of the adaptive sim control universe...Whenever I mtalk with any person who vant use traditional foot pedals you are the only recomdation I make. I also want to thank you for opening up this world to me, I am still not very fast, and even with the greatest control system in the world, I probably never will be, but the racing has become my only true passion.
Thanks Jake! Feel free to send me a link to your live stream and I'm happy to share it on Facebook (and others if I get off my butt and used them). If it helps, I've been through several versions of ring systems, with and without load cell braking. I've had decent systems with the smaller Thrustmaster wheels, but once I increase the diameter for larger rims things just don't feel right and the braking varies a bit depending on where your hands are on the ring. I'm still working at it and getting quite close. But it's difficult for me for sure. And it's one thing to build a single unit, but another to be able to manufacture affordable and consistent quality. - Glenn Sidman
Hi, great video I have a buddy who’s in a wheelchair and uses all the paddles on his McLaren wheel. I just sent him a link to it and hopefully he’ll be interested but I was wondering if you sell any internal parts of the wheel like the Ziggy micro switch I have one switch that one went bad on me after two years

I don’t sell any Fanatec parts. You might want to look into 3rd party magnetic shifter like SimMakerZ
