- Check the following:
1. Are you jumping high enough?
2. Are you jumping when the cable is above you or down by your feet?
3. Are your arms wide? Wide arms, encouraged by using a cable that is too long, shorten the cable at your feet. This produces a scenario where you think the cable is too short, so you get a longer cable which pushes your arms wider.
4. Are you rushing? This usually means you’re using a cable that is too light, you’re not jumping high enough or both. We wouldn’t ask you to snatch 100kg as a beginner. Double unders are no different.
5. Are you using a lightweight cable? In addition to point 4, you can’t feel therefore control a lightweight cable. Get a heavy cable like our Buff cable weight which helps you CONTROL the turn, rather than just keeping up. The only way a lightweight cable can get adequate tension is by increasing the velocity of the turn. Speed kills beginners double unders.

This is a great tutorial, thank you. I've watched many TH-cam videos advising how to do DU You're the only one so far that mentioned when I need to jump & where the cable is...I was jumping too early. 😁 As soon as I followed your demo I did a DU 😀
Amazing! So glad it's helped.
Best video tutorial so far.
So far I’m jumping at 12 o clock. I switch to 3. That should get me where I want to be. I don’t open my arms and jumping higher than normal
Which rope is used in this video?
This is the EVO Speed Rope: www.rxsmartgear.com.au/collections/evo-speed-rope

I’ve gotten into a habit of single, single, DU. I can usually do 5 like this. I haven’t been able to string two DU’s in a row. So frustrating.
Linking the second double under is a big hurdle for a lot of people. Jumping higher on the second dub is the key here. Bring the intensity to link the two together. Think higher, higher, higher! How high? Higher!
That first one is sooooo me
