I like your hot chocolate recipe. I put almond milk or silk in mine, because my daughter and I are Lactose Intolerant. It comes out a little thicker than with water, but not as when using milk. We like it though. I can see the difference between the two, and I've made it with cows milk, but didn't taste it.
I'm pretty simple with my hot chocolate, just hot a packet of mix but always with milk and a little peppermint in the bottom to melt while I'm drinking it, and sometimes whipped cream ❤

I make mine from scratch, but I only make it for one, so it's quite different. But as much care as you put into it, I was genuinely surprised you used packets. I prefer using cocoa powder (particularly Hershey's Special Dark). It's a richer flavor and maybe you would need to add a bit more sugar (maybe brown?) but I think you'd be surprised at how you might enjoy it.
