I worked IT in Humble in 2017 and helped a client relocate their main office off of 59 into Kingwood. After getting them all set up Harvey came to visit, and that company helped rebuild homes on their own dime. I'd 100% move to Kingwood if I were still living in Texas. Beautifull, right in the middle of great access to Humble and waterfront if you're a boater, and and growing developments that mean property values will only go up.
Great, now you made me homesick.

Nice channel. My only concern is about flooding in Kingwood. Could you speak to that and the particulars soon please? Thanks

Good morning! Thanks for reaching out! I actually did a video on pros and cons of Kingwood and flooding was one of the topics. I’ll link it below. I start to speak on that topic right around the 12:45 mark.
      th-cam.com/video/TKOjaVcWctw/w-d-xo.html
It’s quite a bit of detail but the conclusion I’ve come to is that any city that’s near the gulf can flood during a big enough storm. I know people all around Houston that have experienced flooding. It really depends on where the storm hits the hardest. A lot of the concern when speaking about Kingwood is that it flooded during Hurricane Harvey, which parts of it did and parts of it didn’t, the sub division we live in did not flood and is actually not even in a floodplain. Another fact is that Kingwood flooded AFTER the hurricane because they released the flood gates up in Lake Conroe too soon and too fast. Kingwood actually made it through the hurricane just fine until the Conroe flood gates were released and that’s actually what flooded Kingwood. It’s very interesting how it happened, I’d suggest researching that some and it will shed some light on what and how it happened. I think Kingwood unjustly got a bad reputation from that incident.

The only thing in kingwood if it drizzles 🌧 just a little bit they lose power in most area. Also the traffic because there’s only few in and outs are minimal in kingwood.please look deeper if those are important to you good luck!

I'm in the Charlotte area looking to relocate to Texas but wanted a quiet more established community such as this one to move to I like the look and feel of it. Don't need anything too large for single person and outdoor spaces very important does this community have an HOA I am looking for communities that does not have HOA. Are there any nurseries or Asian markets in this neighborhood I'm an international person

Good morning! Thanks for reaching out! Yes, it’s very common in Houston to have an HOA. The cost is usually very minimal (this area is around $30/month). Coming from CA where HOA’s were not common and the areas that did have HOA’s were extremely expensive and the rules were horrible, it’s actually nothing like that here. The HOA is mainly here to pay for amenities in the neighborhood such as pools, parks, trails etc. As far as nurseries, I’m guessing you mean nurseries for plants? We have a few locally that my wife and I frequent. Warren’s Southern Gardens, Kingwood Garden Center and Houston Garden Center. I’m not familiar with any Asian Markets in Kingwood but I did a google search and found a really nice one about 20 min from here! Yun Loy Asian Market, it’s close to The Woodlands.
