1gig? I’ve had that for 4 years now.
I upgraded to 3gbps a while back before recently upgrading to 10gbps.
It’s full fibre, 10gbps download and uploaded. My ping was reduced by 35ms. London to Canada, the same crappy FIFA 24 servers PS5, used to be 105-135ms then it changed to 79ms.
The fluctuations in ping has been reduced to none.
Battlefield 2042 has 1ms ping for me in London. I have 10x 1gbps wireless connections and my PC using the whole 10gbps if it needs it.

How much are you paying for the 10 gigs? Those are some nice speeds :). I want to try out 8 gigs but the pricing is kind of steep at $240 a month.

@@UltratecJS £49, the price of the 3gbps. The 10gbps is available for business, I asked for it, and I was the only customer in my area . I got upgraded for free and they said they are planning to offer it next year.
The current price for business is 780..

I find it hard to believe your ping would change because you upgraded from 1gbps fiber to 10gbps, just because you have more data throughput doesn't mean the data will get to its destination any faster.

I have frontier 500gb fiber and I'm happy with it, but they're offering 1tb for $15 more. Will i see an improvement for getting wifi connections?

    • @UltratecJS
      @UltratecJS  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

It depends how overloaded you are with your existing 500 mbps. If you're not currently using all those 500mbps you might be the same. If you are needing the extra bandwidth then you could see improvement.

Im in toronto 🇨🇦. Today was my last day with 1gb down. 50 up. My gameplay is beyond frustrating for fifa. And sometimes warzone. Tomorrow i move and will be getting 3gb down 3gb up for 55/m . I will update to see if there is a difference

Dang that's a very nice upgrade! I'm sure you will be happy with those speeds. That's a nice price too.

Was there a difference? Moving myself and I want to make sure I get my usual 14-28 ping at my new place on EAFC

@CMar4 Sad to say not enough to enjoy the game. I havent played fifa in a month and a half. My connection became a different kind of crazy. Was still full of random outcomes and gameplay.

Next video should be about buffer overflow and how it affects latency and lag in video games and how to reduce it

The highest fiber they offer in my area is 50 mpbs via AT&T... Should I just cave for comcast? I gotta do A LOT of stuff at once and play that freaking Halo Infinite game lmao.

Okay so I live in Toronto and even though our hockey team and baseball teams totally choked and suck balls we do however have pretty good internet through Bell. So long story short 2.5 gigabits per second internet speed and I downloaded the veil guard yesterday at the rate of just shy of 300 megabytes per second. So yeah to me it's worth it. Obviously other people's mileage Can and will vary

@ to some maybe. As many devices that we have nowadays that run on Internet from home security systems to our cell phones and personal computers hell even our appliances you need all the bandwidth you can get and each Wi-Fi device take up band with the more speed you have the better band with you will have. Personally I pay less than $40 for gig speed Internet so I’m not overpaying at all
