    Awesome.
    I would love to hear more about ping spikes, jitters and packet loss

    You should have mentioned though that higher bandwidth connections usually have a lower ping since the cable your interent is going through runs on a higher frequency. So while bandwidth wont make much of a difference, a faster connection can still be beneficial.

      What are you talking about? Ping is the speed at which you communicate with a server, you can a huge highway and need only one lane to communicate with the server, its also depending like the video says. Of course if you have good bigdick bandwidth you are making sure theres always free lanes to communicate with the server, but even then depending on where you are your ping could be high anyway. Cable is nothing but the hardware to make sure you fully use your bandwidth. And these are not the old days, now everyone has access to cat6 cables.

    • @XIMCentral
      @XIMCentral 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@balancebreaker1561 That is not what i was talking about. Higher bandwidth connections usually "overclock" your connection between the distribution node and your house, the so called last mile. Due to the higher frequency and improved protocol your ping becomes significantly lower as the data travels faster through the cable. This is mostly the case for cable and (V)DSL connections. So in such a case yes, a higher bandwidth connection can also result in a better ping! :)

      @@XIMCentral no tf it doesn’t

    • @XIMCentral
      @XIMCentral ปีที่แล้ว

      @@tybeats4083 Bro yes of course! Maybe look up how Super VDSL is an upgrade to VDSL which again is an upgrade to the default ADSL. Its the same cable but 20x the speed. Alternatively look up the different DOCSIS standards on cable internet to understand for why the same cable only gave you 10mbits like 10 years ago but can now provide up to 1000mbits. And in each case the higher frequency also reduces latency.

      so does that mean that upgrading my internet will infact lower my ping?

    I just wish R3 had 2.5Gig ports. My ISP is Zzoomm here in the UK. I’m on a 2Gig package and I’m looking for a gaming router. I would happily pay the money if you offered what I needed.

    I struggle with MW3 well all CODs at some point. I've tried the Gaming router but still had problems. The sad part for me sometimes i kill so easy and everything is so smooth but the very next game is bad. I have Virgin and get speeds of 500 plus and 50 download Any Advice to get my system more consistent would be very much appreciated.

      @@petertown9467 If its your ping that's inconsistent, its probably not due to your PC specs. Gaming using a wired (ethernet) connection will increase your connection stability. It's a bit of a self plug, but we have videos on our channel showing how to optimise your connection in MW3 and Warzone, if you are interested

    You do if you play multi-player and are in a house of more than 2 you'll need a bandwidth that can actually support all the devices comfortably or you'll get lag remember bandwidth and speed are different but the same speed can be effected by other things bandwidth is the plan you pay for and it also let's you know how many things can be connected and 1mbps is slow af no one should game on that it's worse than dsl lmao I have 25mbps and I lag like crazy because he have 12 to 25 things connected this is what bandwidth is for the speed is mostly hardware side

    I live in Sweden and I have 100/100 Mbps and actually get slightly more on test about 105/105 around there and 2-3 ping to servers that I game on with ookla. I also never really have internet problems with fiber routed with lan to my pc.

      Yes but from what I see, it also debunks a lot of the ISP crap that broadband providers state.
      No you do not need 100Gbps to play Fortnite.
