Just found you channel really enjoying it, retiring in 6 months I looked at Thailand, but it would have to be in the mountains, I also have a large dog. Thailand is definitely on my list for a visit.

Hey man I’m coming to Thialand in march for 8 months but don’t know how to find a condo or anything. Is there a website I goto where I can rent one out ?
I would recommend doing your first couple of weeks on airbnb. While you're in the country you should be able to find locals who are renting out apartments and condos. At our airbnb for instance we saw lots of signs for places that you can rent.
Hey! I've been living in Phuket (Kamala) for almost four months now, and I have no major complaints. Thank you, that's honestly part of the reason we started this channel, we didn't see too many couples like us when we were researching destinations. But we both work as social media managers, one of us (Irene) manages our GFT brand and the other (Lovan) manages the social media of a tech company. There are many remote jobs like social media management and such, can take a little diligence to find a proper gig but once you do the world is yours to travel.
I just found your channel and thanks for showing me Phuket and not just talking about it from your condo. It looks like a pretty place. It is basically hot all year around and can you walk around during the day or is it too hot for that?
You’re welcome! Thailand's average temperature is around 82°F, but temperatures can reach over 105°F during the hottest months. Even during the cooler season, daily highs are usually around 86°F. Rainy season ☔️: May-Oct Cooler season 🍃: Nov-Feb Hot season ☀️🥵: March-May
Phuket is much more expensive than say Pattaya or chaing Mia my first place was phuket 23 years ago I payed 5000 baht rent per month it was 83 thai baht too the £ and it has changed so much with many Russians bringing the prices up
Nice! You’ll have a wonderful time. Let us know if you need any recommendations and what you want to see more of in our future videos! 🫶🏾 Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the compliment! In particular I know the restaurant in our video is more expensive than usual since it’s Michelin guided, but aside from that, which expense(s) are you referencing so I can answer you better?
@ well I’ve seen vids by other creators in Pattaya and Bangkok who live in similar condos to your’s for $500-$600 per month. In Pattaya it seems you can get ocean views for that price range. Most of the food they show costs less but it’s usually street vendors or night markets so I understand the lower costs. But the $18 breakfast you guys had seems pretty high. So I’m just wondering if Phuket is more expensive or maybe you are just picking super high end locations? I’m curious because I’m planning to visit Thailand and I love videos that provide cost breakdowns.
Gotcha! Thank you for the extra context, I can answer you much better now. So for rent, if you book direct with locals it can definitely be at a lower price, we booked ours directly through Airbnb (more expensive) since we were only going to be there for a month. But for a longer stay, you can definitely get better places. I would still recommend doing Airbnb first and then go shopping around for a longer term rental. Phuket was more on the pricey side as well, you’ll see higher costs for rent there and food , but honestly it’s the ice coffees that really upped the cost of our breakfast bill, the iced coffees are basically the same price as the meals lol. If you stay seat from western food/drinks, costs are much lower
Hi guys, if you want to know more about Thai food, aside watching Mark Weins, I highly recommend you watch Gary Butler & Joe Parilla channels for best local food.
I look for areas that are just a lil outside of the main area. Grab rides are cheap so it's not as necessary to stay in the more expensive areas that are closer to downtown. There were a few places in that price range when I initially booked too.
Hey bro, just being honest, I'm not 100% sure, I'm a digital nomad so I didn't look up any blue collar jobs but more than likely if you get the proper long term visa you will likely be able to get one
It was a restaurant just walking distance from the beach, so the prices were much higher there. It was expensive for Thailand but we didn't mind since lunch was so affordable. We didn't film much of it because we were tired after a long day lol. The food and service was very good though.
No we didn't, ppl treated us normally which I appreciate. We felt welcome more than anything. During their Songkran festival they even asked us to participate
We're both social media managers and content creators, one of us manages the social media of a tech company and the other manages this account and the rest of our brand
To become a digital nomad you would need income that isn’t necessarily tied to working or being in a specific location. We’re both social media managers working from our laptops and phones so we can work from anywhere. Depending on what you do for a living there should be opportunities for you to be able to do that as well. Some careers or skills make that easier to do than others. What do you do for a living?
I enjoyed your video. Can you do a video comparing cost of living in other Thailand cities, like Pattaya, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai. Thanks

Rainy season ☔️: May-Oct
Cooler season 🍃: Nov-Feb
Hot season ☀️🥵: March-May

5:54 buddy casually has on a bape shirt.
LOL! I didn't even notice. 😄
$63 per day per person sounds like more of an American flavor than Thai flavor, but I haven’t been there in 20 years so what do I know
A lot changes in 20 years. But you can absolutely live even more affordably in Thailand than this. We always say do whatever your budget allows for. 😄
But theirs includes a condo rental at $35 a day. You cannot get that in NYC (and at that size).
@@CarlyCarly1636 definitely not, $35 a day couldn't even get you a couch let alone a condo
Phuket is much more expensive than say Pattaya or chaing Mia my first place was phuket 23 years ago I payed 5000 baht rent per month it was 83 thai baht too the £ and it has changed so much with many Russians bringing the prices up
Agreed, in a perfect world we would have went to Chiang Mai but it was burning season when we were traveling in SE Asia so we went south
I’ll be in Phuket Dec30-Jan. 2
Nice! You’ll have a wonderful time. Let us know if you need any recommendations and what you want to see more of in our future videos! 🫶🏾 Thanks for watching!
love the video! What are where you guys living in Phuket?
Thank you! We were in the Kathu area. Have you been?
How long are the visitor visa for.
They have so many to choose from: 60 days, 90 days and there's a one year visa too
Great video! However your costs seem so much higher than other creator’s videos. Is Phuket really that expensive??
Oh awesome! I'll check them out too👌🏾
Thanks for the recommendations
lovely video:) could you tell us how you find air bnb for 35.00 per night?
I look for areas that are just a lil outside of the main area. Grab rides are cheap so it's not as necessary to stay in the more expensive areas that are closer to downtown. There were a few places in that price range when I initially booked too.
@@GoingFartherTogether okay, thank you:)
@@with-Alice-in-FROMLAND you're welcome and if you ever hav any questions, always feel free to ask
If your staying getaway from Airbnb you can rent a big 2 bedroom for that much
I believe it but since we weren’t staying in Phuket for that long, the convenience and security of Airbnb made sense to me
Hey man I was wondering if you can get a physical labor/ blue collar job in Thailand as a foreigner
Hey bro, just being honest, I'm not 100% sure, I'm a digital nomad so I didn't look up any blue collar jobs but more than likely if you get the proper long term visa you will likely be able to get one
@ appreciate it, man
@@SamStandley-f1g gotchu
I wanna know what that was yall ate for dinner that cost $46 lol. Just curious, cause it was 5x more than what you paid for lunch.
It was a restaurant just walking distance from the beach, so the prices were much higher there. It was expensive for Thailand but we didn't mind since lunch was so affordable.
We didn't film much of it because we were tired after a long day lol. The food and service was very good though.
The best local cuisine is not necessarily at indoor restaurants. Go to the local outdoor restaurants. support local people, not big businesses
I agree, we visited a few during our time there and they were delicious.
Did you encounter any prejudices?
No we didn't, ppl treated us normally which I appreciate. We felt welcome more than anything. During their Songkran festival they even asked us to participate
They so cute
Thank you
How do you all make income while being Normand’s ?
We're both social media managers. Myself for a media/tech company and my wife for our brand: GoingFartherTogether
I have a question where do you find the jobs to a digital nomad
We're both social media managers and content creators, one of us manages the social media of a tech company and the other manages this account and the rest of our brand
how do i become a digital nomad? what kinda jobs does that include?
To become a digital nomad you would need income that isn’t necessarily tied to working or being in a specific location. We’re both social media managers working from our laptops and phones so we can work from anywhere. Depending on what you do for a living there should be opportunities for you to be able to do that as well. Some careers or skills make that easier to do than others. What do you do for a living?
